I've been searching for a good tax professional for years. Every year I would switch different Tax companies because I'm searching for what I call a good partner that can answer my questions in regards to my real estate rentals. Each year I would prepare my documents and each year it would be simple input of information without inputs as to how information I provided will help my taxes. Jerry Liang was my preparer. He was very careful with all the details on the line item preparations for my LLC information. I was a hot mess in sending him documents this year and actually took a long time on my end to safely upload it on the cloud for him to review. Long story short we had to file an extension due to my tardiness. He quickly setup up an appointment with me for two weeks later because of his busy client list and I see why he needed two weeks. My K1 filing and my joint filing of our personal files were very thorough with about 70 plus pages per document. We discussed child care item deductions, 401k contributions, my rental business information. I really, I felt comfortable with each item stated in my taxes and was already thinking about next year's taxes and will be more prepared and probably will not need an extension to file next year. The receptionist for Exact Tax were also very professional. There's a lot of yelp reviews of some companies where you couldn't reach your tax preparer and you would go straight to voice messages. I don't think that's professional at all. You want to be able to depend on the company so that all your doubts that you have can be addressed. Lastly, price wise, this company is on par with the companies I've used in the past which is good to see because everything is so expensive nowadays. I'm a happy customer because of the overall experience and the close proximity to my home in the 626 area. I would highly recommend this team, but don't take my word for it. Due to calculation and advice errors made by my previous tax person, I had to search for a new person/company to help me prepare my federal and CA tax returns for 2025. I used Yelp and called some likely candidates with the better reviews and found Exact Tax was the most responsive. In November '25 I visited their office in Monterey Park and met with Mary Wong and Jerry Liang. I brought with me my 2024 returns and supporting documents, as well as equivalent documents for 2025, although as the year was still in progress, many items (dividends, capital gains, etc.) were just estimates. I also brought a list of questions to help me decide if they would understand a couple of nuances that made my returns in the past a bit of additional work (royalties and Schedule E). Mary and Jerry were very polite and knowledgeable and I got a good feeling so I decided to engage them for my 2025 returns. I brought them my information in mid-February (it would have been sooner but brokerages seem to like waiting until well past the end of January to make their 1099s available). A week later after they had time to review everything I went to their office and Jerry and I reviewed a couple of options for how to handle the royalties issue and saw there was a difference in the amount of taxes depending how it was treated. I had them prepare and e-file my returns. This morning (beginning of March) they sent me the acceptance by the IRS and the CA FTB of my returns as well as a password-protected copy of my returns as they were submitted. I've been coming here to do my taxes ever since I started to earn money. I've had De Liang, Jerry, and now Nick. I wouldn't hesitate to trust them with my finances or with any tax questions. Whenever I had any questions, they would always try to answer it to the best of their ability and for taxes, I'm glad they're able to help me lower my tax liability as much as I could. They were originally in a different building that was a little bit up the street and moved to this one. I'm not a huge fan of this new building because the entrance is really small and it's not really easy to get to. There is a small driveway entrance. The only thing that I'm not too fond of is the price increase. From when I have been going there to now, it's tripped, almost quadrupled. You get what you pay for I suppose. read more

I was recommended by my boss to go see Jerry. It was my first time filing taxes as a independent, so I was nervous about the whole process, but thankfully, the people at Exact Tax really helped me out. I dropped by with my tax forms during the weekday and wrote down my contact information. The process was super quick and probably took about 2-4 minutes total. They open the door for you, you sign in, and drop your forms off. Anyways, Jerry contacted me the very same day through email, and we were able to get a discount for being a student as well!
