I contacted Omega because I heard noises up in my attic at nighttime and suspected mice. I made an…read moreappointment on the telephone, and they were very upfront about their fees. They warned me that they were a little more expensive than other companies, but they have a lifetime guarantee and fully stand by their work. I told them to come by to get a quote anyways. Jeff arrived today and investigated my entire house. I was fully expecting him to tell me there were rats and that he would have to do all this work in my home. Instead, he told me that he didn't find any evidence of rodents. I was a bit distracted with a conference call at work, but he told me he was in no rush as I was the last appointment of the day. As I was finishing up my call, he inspected the exterior of my home to see if there were any opportunities for rodents to get inside. He was so thorough that he even used his ladder to take a closer look at the roof. He let me know that my house was pretty well sealed (from previous owners), but there were a some minor spots that may require sealing. He was very honest and told me that it may be cheaper to have a roofer do the work. We then went up to the attic, and Jeff spent a good amount of time educating me on signs of rodent activity. He even went the extra mile to take a look at the HVAC ducting and water heater to find the source of the noise I've been hearing. While we ultimately couldn't get to the root of the problem, it was very reassuring to learn that it wasn't due to rodents. I absolutely commend Jeff for the thoroughness in his inspection, and honesty in his assessment. He has earned my trust, and subsequently my future business. I highly recommend reaching out to Omega if you have any suspicions of animal activity in your home.

We are second timers with Omega. Three years ago Jeff and team were called out and they did an…read moreamazing job of ridding us with roof rat. So this time we knew exactly whom to call. We knew these rats had been in the garage because of them eating through the dog food bag. Then we realized they were inside eating from his food bowl. What a mess. We called Omega and Jeff. AME out with his team, found some new access points due to construction and now we are rat free again (and the dog is no longer a free feeder!). The first time we tried to fix on our own. The second time we just picked up the phone and in no time.....problem solved

So I bought a new place back in March, and where my neighbors tree brushed up against the side of…read moremy house, you could see that there was some damage. But ok, I get it, I am buying an older home in an area full of big beautiful trees; this is something I can live with, repair, and move on. Then one morning, as I was sitting outside having some coffee, I started watching the squirrels run around the yard. One of them ran up my neighbor's tree, across the branch touching my house, and then VANISHED! I went over to see what happened, and when I did, he poked his head out from INSIDE the side of my house. He looked right at me, giggle, stuck out his little paw, gave me the finger, and went back inside. That was it. I went and talked to my neighbor who trimmed back his tree and then I made a call to Critter Control to evict my tenant in the attic. Critter Control came out the very next day. Ivan, the rep who came by, was incredibly polite, well dressed, articulate, and on time. He went to my attic, and immediately came right back down and said, "So, you don't really have a big squirrel problem. You do have a HUGE RAT PROBLEM." He went back up in the attic and returned with several photographs of dinosaur sized dead rats, rat tunnels through my insulation, and other sites I will never be able to unsee. He presented me with the best plan to not only get rid of the rats (and anything else), but to also ensure that they didn't come back again. At one point, Ivan even said, "you basically have a giant neon sign over your house that says, 'safe place for rats.'" One week later the Critter Control team (Crew Name Opossum lead by Preston) showed up right on time. They removed all of the insulation in my house (which...well...was old anyways), decontaminated the area, inspected for damage, blew in new insulation, blocked any holes where any critters could get in, and built in a one way exit incase my squirrel friend wanted to leave and not come back. They also set extra traps, and will be coming back over the next two weeks to make sure they didn't miss anything. I really cannot say enough good things about this company or their employees. They did a very professional job, cleaned up very well, and were incredibly easy to do business with. Hopefully I will never have to deal with them again, but if I ever have another critter problem, they will be the first people I call.

I hired Critter Control Houston to inspect my elderly mother's home for suspected animal activity…read morein the vents. After the inspection, they proposed a full sanitization and vent-blocking package -- totaling $1,700 -- citing signs of rodent activity. After paying and having the work begin, we were informed that there were no animals, no droppings, and no need for any sanitization. The material in the vents was coming from an exhaust fan that had caught fire -- something that was never identified or mentioned during the initial inspection, and only discovered when the crew arrived to do the work. To summarize: they missed an obvious burned exhaust fan during inspection, misdiagnosed it as animal activity, sold an unnecessary $1,700 biohazard sanitization package, and never caught their error until work had already been contracted. When I called the office to address this, I spoke with Jessica, who was not helpful. Rather than acknowledging the mistake, I was told the company feels they "went above and beyond." Charging $1,700 for unnecessary services based on a missed diagnosis is not going above and beyond. I chose this company specifically because of the positive reviews and because I needed someone trustworthy to care for a vulnerable family member. That trust was not honored. I would not recommend Critter Control Houston to anyone, and I urge others -- especially those hiring on behalf of elderly relatives -- to get a second opinion before agreeing to any services.

Review of Chimney & Wildlife Specialists (Houston, Tx) Hiram Martinez July 2024…read more Project Site: 2 story house with metal roof. Chimney topper came off & fell to ground from Hurricane Beryl. Ease of Contact Initiation: Met Expectations NOTE: Solo businessman so you will need to leave a message if he is climbing on roofs, but he calls back in a timely manner, within 1 day. Consultation Meeting: Met Expectations -Arrived on exact day & on time. NOTE: Again, keep in mind that a solo business can only accept so many projects at the same time & be proficient. Quote/Estimate: Met Expectations -Was very clear & included multiple photos/videos. -Was reasonably priced. -Was willing to use pre-existing parts that were still in very good condition. -Offered optional decorative accessory, but was not upset that we elected not to pursue that at this time. -Excellent value. Ease of Ongoing Communication: Met Expectations -Very easy to text him about anything. Execution of Project: Met Expectations -Started on time. -Completed in 1 day as quoted. -Again, extensive photos provided & work performed looked professional as expected. -Finished on time. NOTE: Since this is mostly working on the roof, flexibility & understanding are needed re:extensive work not being done when temps are over 90 degrees or during rain/thunder/lightning storms. However, he did place a very secure, temporary tarp over the opening to protect from rain until the actual repair date. Recommendation: Highly Recommended -Would use again if needed. ;-)

He is super honest and easy to work with, and quickly solved our rodent issues and sealed up all the entry points for reasonable cost. We had the attic re-insulated afterwards and haven't had any issues since. We called him back a couple years later to install two fireplace log kits and repair some parts of a broken outdoor fireplace. Today he came out to ease my mind about animal noises I heard that I thought were coming from inside the attic (but apparently were on the roof). He was super honest that he didn't see a problem and didn't pressure me into any services. Standup guy and company - I highly recommend.
