I would put 0 if I could. We hired these guys back in January to take over our pest care at 4 properties. We have NEVER gotten more complaints. Initially it was just a few, but then around March we got a bunch and asked for retreatment. That is when the excuses started. Instead of acknowledging the chemicals should be strong enough to last 3 months, we got told that we needed a monthly or bimonthly treatment instead (in 7 years of owning these properties they have never needed more than quarterly treatments), which of course was more costly. When the retreatment was completed they recommended a couple repairs to help prevent bugs getting in which we completed. We then started getting complaints at the other properties as well. These had no recommended repairs and instead we just kept getting excuses and told to upgrade our account to pay them more. Then after our 2nd quarterly treatment in April the wheels fell off. Nonstop complaints at multiple locations. They then started making excuses claiming they are a small family company and cannot commute to our properties (didn't stop them from quoting and taking my money mind you), and started blaming me claiming that the repairs we had already completed at 1 location somehow explained the nonstop complaints at 3 of the 4 locations they treat. They then cancelled the contracts and refused to come out and retreat the properties we had already paid for through the rest of the quarter, violating the agreement we had, and continued to insist I pay them more money for them to retreat. We now have a roach problem that we are going to have to have another company fix, after just 6 months of using these SCAMMERS. Use ANYBODY ELSE read more

I'm so glad I found H-Town Home Services. They have far exceeded my expectations of ridding our property of pests. We were overrun with roaches and in the past nine months since starting their service we are down by 98%. Earwigs, spiders, centipedes, silverfish all but gone from inside our home. We live in a very wooded area and I never thought it would be possible to be rid of all these. The mosquitoes have been a little more challenging, but H-Town is always responsive when I contact them. They keep at it until the job is done. I'd say our mosquito population is down by 85% because you can't control your neighbors yards. Every technician they have working for them are very polite clean-cut guys. One last note... all this improvement in pest control is from treatments done outside. While they will do the inside of your home, we've had this much success from only outside treatments. They are worth every penny! Don't hesitate. Give them a call. read more

Upon returning from vacation, I was not pleased to realize we had brought home bedbugs. In addition, it was Labor Day weekend. Jake responded with a few hours to my request for service and scheduled an inspection for the next day. He came at the beginning of the two hour window, and carefully explained all my options. He returned later that day for our first treatment. Every interaction I had with either Jake or other employees was professional. They always answered my (many) questions, and at each of the three different appointments, arrived at the beginning of the two hour window. When doing my search for pest control on Yelp, H-Town was the quickest to call me and answer all of my specific questions about pest treatment. They even came the same day we spoke. Jacob was very clear on pricing, treatment and maintenance. Aside from being a very organized and transparent company, I have to commend them on their customer service, which is five stars. Was dealing with a bad infestation of fire ants in my new build home. I literally called everyone I could find on Yelp for my area. Some businesses didn't even answer their phones in the middle of a weekday. They not only answered but were also able to come out the same day which is what I was looking for since I had to stop moving into my new home until this was dealt with. Excellent service and affordable. My ant issues were taken care of immediately, I did not have to leave my home during the process, and there were no lingering fumes or smells. I switched to H-Town from another pest service after Jake knocked on my door one afternoon. He was clean-cut, professional and happened to catch me on a day when I was frustrated with the company I had been using for a few years. I have had a few services now, and I love it. My technician is Al, and he is extremely knowledgeable about the pests we see in the Houston area. We were dealing with fire ants in the yard and a family of rats who intermittently take up residence in my garage. My wife was freaking out because the other guys weren't getting it done. Al assured us he had could get things under control and within short order he did. I think his experience is what made the difference because the other guys had come back to my house 5 times and still hadn't figured it out. Honestly, one of my favorite parts about H-Town is that my wife trusts Al at our house and so I don't have to be home for her to allow him to come get the house serviced. read more
