We had been using a different plumbing company who had their whole admin team turn over and unfortunately their customer service and responsiveness tanked, so we reached out to Avalon in a bit of a pickle. All of the plumbers we've worked with have been knowledgeable and great, and Regina who answers the phones always gets back to my quickly (noting they do not provide 24/7 emergency services - but that's clear on their website and they tell you upfront). They've descaled our tankless water heater, double checked how it was set up by the previous plumbing company, connected a tub overflow drain that was just draining into the space between floors and dripping down out of a heating vent to the first floor (aka it wasn't ever connected when the tub was installed before we were involved), and more. I also really appreciate how their staff is willing to take the time for me to watch them and learn - I knew nothing about plumbing and have learned so much. They also have taken ownership of some small mistakes - just stuff like once someone came out to I thought descale our tankless water heater but he thought he was just assessing it - and they didn't charge me for that visit and came back as soon as it fit into my schedule. Since things like that happen and everyone is doing their best, I really appreciate companies like Avalon that just say whoops sorry, let's see how we can fix this. They also all are totally willing to wear shoe covers and masks when inside our house, are tidy and communicative, and just generally nice people to be around - which we haven't found to be the case with all other companies in this field. I recently left a slightly panicked message overnight about a possible gas leak (not being sure who to call - turns out the gas company was actually who I should call and they responded quickly) and Regina called me back right as they opened the next day to check in even though my question was outside of Avalon's scope. After taking up the concrete they even matched the new concrete in color to our garage door perfectly. The cleanup was also through. My Deercreek toilet's flush valve failed and the mfg did not have replacements and a two month wait period to receive them. They would not tell me a third party supplier to replace the valve with. Avalon came quickly, removed the failed part and went out to hardware stores to match it with another brand's valve. It works great with no problems. They got my renter's toilet working and took pressure off me and my renter since he has only one bathroom. The price was worth it. read more

Will and his team were really exceptional and even though this was a job that threw some really difficult circumstances at them, they came through with great work and were friendly, communicative and professional throughout. We had to replace a huge sewer lateral that wrapped halfway around the building with multiple turns. It went under a nice finished concrete patio and he was able to sawcut just one clean hole to access the 90 degree under the patio. I expected some cracks at the edges or some sawcut lines and there were none at the end. He also had to take up an extremely old brickwork path and they carefully laid the same bricks back down at the end. It was like they were never there. Totally exceeded my expectations. We also had a schedule snafu that forced his crew to work on site at the same time as some electricians *and* another excavator and they couldn't use the driveway yet still everyone got along great and even my other contractors had kinds words about these guys at the end too. Avalon came out to try and unblock a storm drain. Working with Avalon was great right from the start. Front office did a great job of scheduling the appt and keeping me informed. The technician showed up on time. Our pipes had filled with roots. The technician went out of his way to try and fix the problem. There was no cleanout built into the drainage system, so he tried multiple ways to scope where the problem was and use the jetter to try and unblock the pipe. He was here a long time, and you can tell he wanted to solve the problem almost more than I did! I can't speak highly enough about the dedication of Avalon to make me a happy customer. Avalon Services is our go-to company for all plumbing related issues. Will and his crew came through for us when our water main broke recently and he has also worked on our water heater and external hose bib in the past. We called them frantically in the morning and they were out the same afternoon to determine what the problem was. Within 24hours they had us back up and running! They had to dig about 120 feet of trench (through poison oak and underbrush on a hillside) from the meter to the house and suggested adding a spigot at the halfway point in the line to make it easier for us to water the garden. Best part: Really smart and concise communication. This company would be great for an HOA big job because Will would probably explain to the HOA board well. I had called several plumbers before I talked to Will. He was the most communicative of all. He explained what my options were including the most comprehensive way to fix my water heater issues as well as several other options. So I chose an option and Juan was to come out the next day. He did and that went fine. They were both very professional. However there ended up being a mistake with the heater size that was picked up. There was some compensation after discussion for the inconvenience. Juan returned the next day with the right sized heater. The rate was priced for the job and it was for a special sized heater unit that was shorter than the average 40 gallon. 1750.00. According to my conversations I had with other plumbers, that is about right for a heater that did include the extras and an odd sized heater. I bought a pan for underneath too. And Juan did say he did something for me that was to do with the pipe and that was part of the package pricing / job price. That was nice. I would use and recommend in a heartbeat. read more

He also helped me out on the weak water pressure issue. By visual inspected and found the filter issue inside the shower head.
