TERRIBLE product. We purchased a 24inch electric Avanti stove from Lowe's. Only 7 months of having the stove the tenants contacted us stating the stove had a spark and then it just stopped working. Contacted Avanti due to it still being under manufacture warranty they requested that we send a video and explain what happened. That was done then they stated they submitted a ticket and a technician would contact us to schedule within 3 to 5 days. On the 6 day I called and they gave me the name and number of the service technician and when I called they informed me that they do not service stoves. The other number Avanti support team gave me the number was out of service. I called Avanti back to let them know and they informed me that they. had to locate a service technician they didn't know how long. I waited a few more days and crickets. So I called back and they informed me that they would see about trying to get a replacement approved and I would receive an email no later than the next day. Because now our tenants are going on 3 weeks with no stove. Then I called back the next day because I never received an email. Then I was told they denied me a replacement and they sent the ticket to another service technician. I asked for the name and number so I can call to get a scheduled date and time. Both number they gave me they were out of service. I had to call back and still told I would get an email. We will never EVER buy Avanti products again. They do not care. DO NOT BUY! read more

I bought a wine refrigerator 14 months ago but did not purchase extended warranty. The refrigerator's price was $1400 and the compressor broke. The cost to repair is $1200. I was told by the technician to throw it away. First time that something so new has broken so fast. A compressor should have a better warranty. Will never buy from Avanti again. I bought an Avanti apartment size refrigerator from ABC Warehouse in Grand Rapids, MI on February 21, 2021. It stopped working November 19, 2024. I purchased what I thought was a 3 year warranty. Apparently the warranty starts the day you purchase the refrigerator. Actually it is a 2 year warranty since the manufacturer has a one year warranty. I purchased an avanti Refrigerator model FF138G1B-s from PC Richards in Manchester CT. on August 13th 2022. On August 23, the freezer had a sheet of ice and there was water on the bottom of the refrigerator. We followed the manufacturers recommendations for temperature settings. We call all of the numbers phone numbers listed on the sales receipt. First number was the salesman, Mike, who brushed me off. I called the next number. This woman told me should could not get thru and would call me back when she contacted repair. Waited 10 days for a call. Called the manufacturer directly and they said someone would get back to me within 48 hours. It has been 5 days. Now the refrigerator has a loud bubbling sound like boiling water.. Do NOT purchase Avanti products. We bought a dual zone wine cooler for $1,300 in July of 2018. The compresor failed within 18 months and their only authorized repair agent charged me a total of $600 to visit my home one time to diagnose it was a compressor and then to install the part which took five (5) months to arrive. The manufacturer rep in Florida is TERRIBLE, they do not take time to find anything or even suggest which company is their representative in your area. All they say is: your appliance is discontinued, you must buy a new one. This is the WORST purchase in my life and after a total of $1,900 invested, I now have nothing and will have to purchase a different product. At least some of the reviews say that their unit worked for a while before it broke down within a short period of time. Mine came DEFECTIVE!!! I called customer service several times only to be told that a technician would contact me and wait. I waited and was contacted after 3 days only to be told that I had to wait another 2 weeks for someone to service my unit. This is unacceptable and terrible customer service. First of all, the Avanti product is of very poor quality and they sell and deliver defective units. Secondly, even after their error, they take no responsibility. I wanted to take a very quick moment to share my most recent experience with the AVANTI customer service line in hopes you will consider my story next time you are making a purchasing decision. I purchased an avanti wine cooler that stopped working about 2 years after I purchased it. I tried for a very long time to reach the customer service department to evaluate any options I might have in repairing this item. After many attempts resulting in "I can't help you" I naturally became frustrated. The company claimed they didn't stock the parts to fix the problem and had no idea where or if they might be found. I called many more times over a long period of time and received different answers with every phone call. All of this culminated this week when I finally spoke with "Dave" the customer service manager at Avanti. I explained to him my frustration. Dave told me there was absolutely nothing he could do. I told Dave I understood the company's position but wanted to share my story with Avanti Re-seller partners so that they could make informed decisions when purchasing Avanti products. Dave immediately hung up on me with an angry tone in his voice. I found this behavior to be unprofessional and it reaffirmed my decision not to do business with this company again in the future. Purchased an Avanti Beverage Cooler (Model BCA516SS) and after the first year the fan stopped. Replaced the fan in the unit. Then after 2 years the compressor quit working. The warranty on the product said they would replace the compressor up to 5 years. Had a licensed mechanic look at the unit and when he called to get the compressor was told we have to wait 4 months - back ordered! That's just Avanti way not to honor the warranty! One star is too many for this company. DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS! I bought a beverage refrigerator from this company and 1. it never got cold enough 2. the door didn't always seal firmly, which would cause ice to form on the back wall which would make it function even more poorly. Then within about a year the door gasket began to deteriorate. I tried to fix it with tape, but ultimately had to get a new one. When I called to order the part, I asked if there are instructions for replacing the gasket. The customer service person said no, and that it's difficult, which is why many people order a new door. So I ordered a new door (bonehead move on my part) and they sent the wrong one. Then a long complicated series of event ensued which involved them sending me the wrong door twice and ended up with me having paid for a useless door and also paid $42 to ship it back without receiving any refund. This involved about five different phone calls to customer service in which I was told contradictory information. I will admit that I was partially responsible for their sending me the wrong door the first time, but their customer service is AWFUL!! They tell you different things each time, they say they'll have a manager get back to you but that never happens, two of the five people I talked to were rude--the last one shouted at me and wasn't listening to what I had to say. The upshot is that I wound up ordering a new gasket (very cheap) and installed it myself, which was really no big deal at all. The fridge works as well as it ever did, which is not great. DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! UPDATE 3/9/18: When I wrote to complain about the problem above, the customer service manager agreed to refund me my $42 shipping charge. He was prompt and professional. I have just returned the second door and was assured I will receive a refund. So the customer service problem has been rectified. But the product still is not that great. read more

Then noticed about six months into having it, that it was making louder than usual noises and that the cooler and the freezer were always fogged and steamy! Called Avanti who assigned it to a repair service. This was quick, Avanti was pleasant and provided me with a reference #. Within 48 hours, I was contacted by a service company who arranged to see the unit. They arrived on time, within the window they gave me and they advised me that the unit could not be repaired and that they would contact Avanti to authorize a return of merchandise with the store. They did all this in a timely fashion. I oped to select a different brand and pay the difference to PC Richards to do this. PC Richards honored the no additional delivery charge. I paid an additional 37.00 for a more well know manufacturer. I was totally impressed with all the players including PC Richards. read more

They won't repair new one because original 1 year warranty passed. Shouldn't they warranty new products? Bought a stove in early November and broke three weeks later. Called Avanti for warranty service and it took them a week to figure out who to send. When they finally assigned someone, they sent incomplete parts to the vendor and long story short, our tenants haven't had a working stove in five weeks. They don't acknowledge customer complaints or concerns and don't seem to care about providing good customer service. I only wish I could give them less than one star. My expensive wine cooler stopped working so I called for repair information, they gave me four companies. One was out of business, one only did commercial, one didn't answer and finally a company called Masto did come out and diagnosis the problem. Basically everything was broken and because it was over a year old the only thing covered was the compressor. It would be costly to repair but I was willing to pay it because it was so expensive to begin with. Fast forward 3 months (or should I say slow forward) still NO PARTS, no help, no return calls, no return email and certainly NO MANAGER NAMED DAVE CONBOY! I'm not sure he is a real person. I have no choice but to purchase a new unit and I am out the cost of a the service call. I purchased my unit on-line from a company called Wine Cooler Direct (LIVING DIRECT) when I called them for help they were so rude that it shocked me. Their answer to me was, well you saved money because you purchased your unit on-line, so that's the way it goes. Wish I would have read reviews before we bought anything from this co. We had a table top water dispenser. We set it all up and the hot water would not work. We took it back to the store and got another one. It would never stop leaking. Water would drip all over the floor. Called the co to see if they could just mail us a part and I could fix it. Avanti has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with! I have a small apartment size dryer that needed the bearings replaced so I called and made the order. I was told the part was updated so I purchased the new assembly. When I received the new assembly and went to install it there was another part that no longer fit and needed to be updated as well (customer service did not mention other parts needing updated). I wish they would have told me when I ordered the first part, especially since the part I needed to order now wasn't even in stock. After waiting months for the other part to be in stock I finally got it ordered. I had nothing but problems when trying to put everything together so I contacted customer service for help. I was tranfered to the managers voicemail multiple times but never got a call back. I ended up making a complaint on the BBB website and finally got an email response from Avanti. He halfway attempted to help my issue but then claimed it was too difficult to help me over email/phone calls and gave up. My issue is not difficult to explain and there was never an attempt to speak on the phone with me. I emailed pictures and he clearly understood what the issue was. I have now wasted months trying to fix a simple issue and am now left with a garbage dryer and parts. I have never had a company just give up on helping a customer. Even if I get a refund on the parts I am out the shipping costs (which were even more expensive than the parts themselves) and I still don't have a working dryer! read more

Bought a mini fridge online and it was damaged, clearly pre-packaging as the 2 boxes it was shipped in (original packaging) was not damaged at all. They claimed it was "concealed shipping damage". Not much chance of a metal fridge corner getting dented and the box not. Also the handle holes do not line up properly in the door. They told me they could ship a replacement door but didn't have to because I bought it through another seller (Amazon). Way to stand behind your products. I was told item had shipped and would arrive on Friday, June 29th. Waited patiently and NO DELIVERY, NO PHONE CALL, NO CONTACT. I sent an email asking what the problem was THIS TIME. NO CONTACT OF ANY KIND. I find this very strange as Avanti said, without me asking, they would replace item. Over a month has gone by with no contact by Avanti. Buyer beware when you buy an Avanti (product) chiller!!!! Bought a small Avanti wine chiller for $600 and paid an additional $90 for delivery and installation. One month later it stopped cooling. I called the Store (Pacific Sales) I bought it from and was told I had to go directly to Avanti for service. After several phone calls, I got in touch with Avanti who set us up with technician visit who wrote up report that the cooler was not working. Several days and we heard from no one. We finally got in touch with them and via email received instructions for them to send us another chiller. Had to send them cut cord along with purchase copy and silver serial number tape on back of fridge. After Many weeks and hours spent going back and forth and dealing with this problem we finally received the new one today...it was just delivered without installation!!! Ridiculous!!! read more

I am so disappointed with this company. I have two Avanti apartment size refrigerators. Somehow two shelves in the refrigerator broke and there are no shelves left. I tried to order replacement shelves but they told me the refrigerator is no discontinued and they do not have shelves. They gave me the names of two companies that might stock them. Neither of them had the shelves. The refrigerators are not even that old. I searched the entire internet and could not find them. I then thought I would see if they offer a similar size refrigerator that is similar size and I could order the shelves. They have one that is identical in size but they told me the shelves won't fit. I asked them to give me the size of the shelving and they don't have that information. I decided to take a chance and order them but they said they were on back order - several months out but would not let me order them. This is possible the worst company I've ever dealt with. I researched various makes and models of wine coolers and settled on and Avanti 18 bottle, dual zone, thermoelectric unit . It had some decent reviews and the price was reasonable. After 4 months the unit just stopped working. After calling Avanti they agreed to ship me a new unit if I sent them the back label on the unit, the cut electrical cord, the purchase receipt and a check for $10. Six weeks later we were shipped a new unit. After lugging it upstairs I plugged it in to find it did not work either. After a little investigation I found the door was assembled incorrectly at the factory and wire connections between the control pad on the door and the unit itself were severed. This unit is cheaply made, poorly assembled and, frankly not worth buying. You get what you pay for and, in this case, you get a truly sub par pice of equipment. read more

I have an Avanti gas stove. Worst appliance I have ever owned! I have had 14 residences and 15 different stoves. Nothing worse than Avanti! To get the oven to light you have to turn it on and wait and turn it off again and turn it on. Sometimes two and three times. This, from the day it was brand new. The temperature, though I have had the oven calibrated many times, never holds a proper heat. I am a baker and if something takes 35 to 45 minutes to bake in this oven it can take an hour and a half! I need a new refrigerator and unfortunately for me the only one narrow enough in the width is an Avanti. Will have the old one repaired. I would not recommend buying any products from this company . read more

The worst customer service! I bought a portable washer from a licensed retailer. Called because it seemed it wasn't draining properly (after using it for the first time!!). Apparently they have no way to help you troubleshoot over the phone, and can only send a technician to take a look. Ok, fine. The woman I spoke to said she submitted the service call and gave me the local number. I call the number, and that company says they don't service Avanti products anymore. Ugh, ok. So I call Avanti back and a different woman tells me they don't have that number in their system, and asked for my reference number. Well, I was never given a reference number and the service number came from whomever I spoke to before.
