The worst. The nails didn't even last two weeks. I didn't go back for a fourth time to repair. They had no interest in repairing them correctly on day 1. They just continued to buff and buff away the dip without re-dipping. read more

This set is builder gel with cat eye polish and Christmas designs. I've come to Avatar nails for a few years now and it's been nothing but Amazing! The customer service is great. I specifically go to Amy and she is the sweetest and most professional nail tech I have ever been to. She really takes her time to perfect her work and listen to exactly what you are looking for. Amy does everything from pedicures, manicures, gel, dipping powder and gel builder. Her work is amazing and she is such a great person. Went in to get acrylics, previously had glue-on cheap nails from target that i asked to be removed. She started ripping the nails off and when I said it hurt and asked her to use acetone she said no. On my 7th nail she ripped half of the nail off (picture attached) and then brought out the acetone and products to remove the last ones correctly. I didn't let her finish and got up and said i didn't need it anymore and will never be back. Be warned and go at your own risk. read more

I had a horrific experience with one of the nail technicians that did my daughter's full set. She was angry when I asked her to make the nails shorter and then when I complained about the shape she was reluctant to do anything to fix it portraying the issue unfixable. We returned the following day and asked for either fix or removal. They fixed them but were belligerent and unnecessarily harsh to my 15 year old daughter. That was like a kick in the gut! Because we didn't do anything wrong. We paid for a service and the service was bad. I am so disappointed! read more

Been coming here too long and given too many chances to this business and the people who work here. What's unfortunate is my regular person is nice but in general she's always cutting my fingers! I still have dried blood on my nails that was painted in. It's been awful with the nail color as is stands out for a reminder. My fingers are always cut, the people are so rough. Also the vibe is awful, they chit chat and laugh so hard after you walk in and they see you, or if you ask a question, and dare take a comment. They are so rude with the blatant disrespect for their customers. This was it for me, never coming back. read more

I was recommended here by my friends. First off, I called in the morning for an acrylic soak off removal. They let me know it was $15 when I came in I was seated immediately. They proceeded to flick my nails off with a nail tip which is horrible for your nail beds. I then decided to get a gel manicure which I saw online there was a gel change for $25. I told the nail lady (Thuy Dao) I wanted to do a gel change, she said that I can do a gel manicure for $40, and the basic change would be $35. She also said if I get a service the $15 removal would go to $10. But then if I got basic gel manicure (no care of cuticle) it would only be $5 cheaper. I told her I have to go to an appt in 10 mins, she says it's only taking this long because I'm taking so long to choose a color (she said she didn't have the color I originally chose). She proceeded to dip my hand in a bowl of water?? She said she can do it in 5-10 mins which I totally could've done the gel change for because I wasn't going to have the time for all the extra services. She paints my nails quickly and skillfully but points out a bump on my nail which was caused by ripping my nails off. Overall, I will not be returning. It seems that the manicurist upcharged me because I checked the website and the salon menu afterwards and is there is no $35 gel service. Just a $25 gel change and $40 shellac manicure. read more

I first time visited today, and tried this nail salon for dip manicure and gel pedicure. My first impression of the Salon it looked clean and neatly kept from inside. I was received with smile. I find my manicurist very sweet and kind. She took care of everything I asked for, 10/10 service here. Anna is skilled and polite nail artist. I am planning to visit again for sure. Came here on a Sunday because a couple other salons were closed. They were pretty busy but they took me in and I only had to wait maybe 10 mins. I'm not sure the lady's name who did my nails (should tell you a lot) but she wasn't talkative, and she didn't really ask me what I want expect for the color.. not even shape. I chose to do just the dip powder today and the first did she did was half of my nails and then the second half was my entire nails... which left an obvious imbalance, so I had to ask her to re dip a few of them of them because it did not look good. The mail techs to the left and right of me seemed very attentive and from the expressions on their clients nails, they seemed to have done a good job. I would definitely come back as it was only $45 but would definitely ask for someone different read more

Moved to the area and wanted to try this place out. I asked for french tips initially but they were so messy, even after asking the technician to fix them. They still ended up messy so I asked if she could just remove them and do one solid color. I apologized and felt so bad but the solid color didn't turn out too good either, kinda messy - the full set was 60. At this point I just wanted to get them fixed another day, somewhere else. Me and my mother went to get our nails done here for the first time, and things were going fine at first but as they started to do the designs it was not what I asked at all, they had gotten the shape wrong, the designs wrong, and they had cut our skin and burned it with the file multiple times, my mom had bled twice because of it, my design was originally something else but I asked for something different because she could not do it right and even after changing it, it was not what I asked for, the French tip wasn't even nicely shaped. My mom said "my fingers look like clubs" she had asked for almond but they gave her round, would not recommend anyone to get intricate designs here. read more

So glad to be able to get a pedicure near my house vs driving to another county or state due to Covid. Call to make an appointment first. Everyone is masked and gloved. The bowls are wrapped in a disposable plastic protector so when you're done, they remove it and toss it out then cover the bowl again for the next customer. I like that they have a lot of colors to choose from. They have the same colors for gel or regular colors. They do up sell you but it you know how to say "no", they won't pressure you. They kind of remind me of my aunts who always have the best gossip or question everything you do in life. Lol. Overall, I liked my pedicure. The massage was decent. It's heavy pressure. My esthetician was friendly. She painted my toes perfectly. They take credit cards! I'll be back! read more

This salon was recommended to me by my previous nail tech who sold her salon. I'm beyond thrilled to find Avatar Nail Salon. I'm very selective about how my nails are done because these are my own natural nails and I love the dip process to protect the length of my nails. Filing is an art and not a step you can do and precision is a must for beautiful nails. I love my nail experience today!! read more

I have come to this salon a few times. I have gotten my nails done here for my engagement, had a few pedicures. There have been a few times I have had a rude mail tech but, this is why I'm giving them two stars. I have gotten a pedicure here about 4 times and every time they are rough on my feet. Literally yesterday I went for a gel pedicure and the tech was rough on my feet. She drilled the side of my toe multiple times and continued to after I said "ouch, that hurts". She was also very rough when cleaning the side of my toes. I ended up getting an infection from how deep and rough she was.. read more

It's my third time here and each time I have had a very good experience. Nhu did a splendid job with my mani-pedi. I think regular mani-pedi is more challenging than dip powder/gel. I am pregnant and have very specific asks including products, tools and space. I am so glad the staff at Avatar nails is accommodating and respectful of my preferences. They honor appointments timely and don't chat within themselves (I really get conscious at other nail spas where the staff talks within themselves and probably judges their customers). Here, the nail stylists try to engage their customers and do their job sincerely. Nhu was such. I am sure, I'll be asking for her in the future as well. read more

She then abruptly hung up without taking my name or confirming anything. When I arrived and parked, I called back because I realized she had never taken my name to hold the 3:15 appointment. I had my seven-year-old daughter with me, who is sick, so I wanted to be sure the appointment was secured before bringing her inside. Priti told me she could not put my name down unless I physically came into the salon. I did not understand why my name could not simply be written down over the phone, especially since she was the one who hung up without confirming details. Then she started to say, show me your car .. I will come out to see you in your car so I know you are here. I got frustrated because why would I want anyone to see my car when I'm trying to give her my name for the appointment?! She said she doesn't believe me that I'm here and calling to put my name on the time, I was so confused! The situation escalated unnecessarily. Instead of resolving it professionally, she involved someone named Neil, who told me they would not service me and that I had to leave. For someone who drives 1.5-2 hours specifically for their services, this level of rudeness and lack of professionalism is unacceptable. Clear communication and basic courtesy would have prevented this entire situation. Unfortunately, due to the poor and dismissive customer service, I will not be returning. I will also report this to the business bureau.

I come in once or twice a year, usually before a beach type vacation to get my back waxed. They have always had someone at the front desk when I walk in, but not this last visit. Let me mentioned before getting into it, the place is always clean, the entrance, Hallway and wax rooms. The wax service is always fast, professional and as relaxing as it can be getting waxed. I never had a scheduling problem until now either. This last experience was not good. I arrived at 1030 my scheduled time, but no one was at the front desk, but I could hear someone talking on the phone in the room behind the desk. I waited 5 minutes figuring they would come out, but no, so I start to ask if anyone here? No response for 2-3 min, so I asked again, then a lady with black and purple hair comes out of the room and say someone will be right with me and turns back around into the room to continue to talk on the phone, as if I was bothering her at work!! Then a few minutes later, another person comes out from down the hall (I think she was actually with a client) and asked if I have been helped, I said no and told her my appointment was at 1030, she tells me the appointment was at 1040 (this was at 1042, already past my apparently rescheduled appointment) and said someone will be with me shortly. Then the other lady that was talking on the phone comes out from the room behind the desks. I sat there about 5 more mins until my wax person arrives, say sorry for being late, and gets ready (it appears they changed the appointment because the wax person was running late), they never told me they changed the appointment time (no text like all the other notifications, which I like from this place). The appointment was never changed on the website, only locally, maybe they just lied for her, and told me 10:40. Oh and no one ever came out of the room behind the desk after the phone call lady, while I was waiting for my room to be ready. It was clearly a personal call at work and she didn't want to be bothered at work. At the end, I still tipped, against my better judgement, a lower 10% rather that the usually 20%. The wax person was late, but apologized. I think I will return because up until this time it has been great, but not sure.

I like my acrylics to look as natural as possible ... and Bennie does a great job. Thin and perfectly shaped. The new shop (Avatar) is bigger than Ken Nails and very clean inside. I love this place! I love this nail salon! Everyone here does a great job. I've been coming to Bennie (owner and from Kens Nails!) for my gel manicure and whoever is a available for my pedicure for about 4 months now. Bennie makes sure to not weaken my nails, as can happen with gel manis, and they are growing! (I'm a hairstylist, btw, and so my hands are ALWAYS in wate Bennie still works a couple of days over at Ken's, but Avatar is HER baby! Great job! After the terrible shape my nails were in when I had them done at another salon Minnie did such a great job removing all the old black dip powder and replaced with this fresh ombré! My toes turned out great too! Not much scrubbing on my rough feet but let's face it none of these places do a good job scrubbing your feet. But she shaped them perfectly!
