Such an amazing brunch experience! The service was quick, even though the restaurant was busy. All the food was delicious, it was hard to pick what to order bc the menu had so many options! Would definitely go back

Genuinely had an out of body experience, sitting in the corner booth with my dear friends. We were seated immediately on a very, very busy Sunday morning and took it as a sign from above that we were about to have a fantastic meal portions are humongous, and I'm now near lethargic, having tried my best to finish the honey heat chicken and waffles. The captain crunch milkshake was incredible, and beignets were sooooo good. My tablemates also have the lobster mac & cheese, which is described to be decadent, buttery, and overall one of the best mac & cheese of her life. The Detroiter sandwich is also said to be delicious crispy sweet savory. And while the banana Nutella waffle did defeat our dear friend, it was very creamy and very sweet. Last but not least, the plain chicken and waffles was crunchy, and the portions were very big. Definitely come here. Also service was epic and ambience is incredible.

The food was excellent, & the service was amazing. I went here for my birthday and a time was had, we requested a round booth for our party and the waitstaff was able To accommodate. Everyone orders was made properly the restaurant itself was cute, it was a little small so u did have to wait we waited around 25 minutes so just pack your patience. I will be bk

Exceptional. The food was great the service was great the wait was a bit long but i was Sunday morning. We were told the wait would be 20 minutes but it was actually 40 minutes but it was definitely worth the wait. The chicken and waffles Benedict was so good.

I took a group of seniors here on a day trip and everyone lived it. The menu was unique the food was great with huge portions and the service was really good. I usually don't like to bring a group somewhere that doesn't take reservations but I took a chance on this place and happy I did. I ordered the berry pancakes and they were amazing. I don't like things to be too sweet first thing in am so I ordered without the cream cheese frosting and just added syrup which was perfect amount of sweetness. The portion was so huge I could only eat 1/4 of it. Everything else that was ordered around the table looked amazing and also had very generous portions.

Stopped in on a Thursday morning and we were seated right away. Service Staff is amazing, Restaurant is clean and Inviting. So many great options to choose from on the menu and the portions are large enough to share.

Avenue Brunch House is so delicious! I love the large portions and flavorful foods. The shrimp and grits and the beignets are my favorite. Your food is always ready quickly and service is delivered with a smile. They also have amazing coffee! The only downside is how crowded they get, because it's so good!

Visited today with family out of town down close to airport. Wow! What a great spot! Super cute clear glass coffee mugs. Entrance in back takes you to the hostess station. If you enter through front door, walk to back. We were immediately seated. Waitress was super friendly and fast service. I ordered the Za'atar avocado toast and they allowed me to sub in scrambled eggs instead of sunny side up. It was listed a starter and so I appreciated the smaller size. It was served with a side salad with yummy picked onions. I LOVED it. Although I would have taken even a little more Za'atar in the cream cheese. My cousin ordered the chicken and waffles. She thought the chicken had a little too much seasoning and didn't love it. But the portion was huge and could have just been a personal preference. Her son orders the huevos rancheros and he enjoyed it! Also ordered but no photos were the standard breakfast with beef bacon. I tried it and was quite delicious. Tasted more like pastrami than traditional pork bacon. Very unique. Would definitely come back if in the area. Super great vibe to walk around downtown.

I ate here twice while I was visiting Detroit with my wife. The first time I came alone on a Friday 24 minutes before closing time... I was thrilled that I was able to be seated and the staff didn't make me feel rushed... The second time eating here was two days later... I loved the atmosphere and food so much that I told my wife and we meet up for breakfast with her mom and two of her brothers. The Smoked Wings were great!!!!!!! The Plane Jane French Toast tastes amazing!!! My wife loved the Berrylicious Pancakes!

This place is definitely worth a visit if you are ever in the Detroit area. First things first, they do not take reservations and they are always on a wait, that should tell you that they are good. We arrived in the middle of a snowstorm on a weekday. It was a Friday though around 11am and, predictably, they had a wait. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. It was totally worth the wait. Their ambiance is cute- the hallway is clean, they have bench seating and they put you on the list to get a text, so you could sit in the car if you really wanted to; we did not. They could use a foyer though. It was 22 degrees and snowing so every time the door opened we were instantly freezing. The menu is massive so if you're trying this for the first time and you're from out of town, honey bring as many friends as you can so that you guys can order everything!! Theeeee must have that I tried were the smoked wings. I have never had wings that were smoked and then fried baby they were crispy. They were seasoned to the bone and were delicious. I almost ate them all and had no room for anything else. We also did the berry pancakes which could feed 3-5 people alone; second of all, they're not overly sweet, which is why I did berries and not the peaches or anything like that; and, third of all, the pancakes are the size of your face, but they are fluffy and melt in your mouth! These were easily top two pancakes I've had in my life. We also tried the shrimp and grits, also a 10/10. A generous portion of shrimp, not overcooked and the sauce was bomb. They do put bacon on it if you're not a bacon eater pay attention. I tasted around it anyways but yes, we also tried a vegetarian omelette with home fries. This was just a 7/10 but probably because we only ever tasted it reheated because we were too full to touch it. It was 3 entrees and an appetizer and was definitely enough food to feed a family of seven. This is a must visit place, so if you are in the area and have never been: make time!!!! And take some friends. Each plate is a day's worth of calories!

Avenue Brunch House is soooo freaking good!! The food is soooo amazing!! When I say that NOTHING coming out of that kitchen looked bad I mean NOTHING!! I came here for my birthday today n it's definitely didn't disappoint!! We waited about 15-20 minutes, this place is ALWAYS packed but that's a good thing!!! I had the Seafood Trifecta OMG Delicious with Red skin fried potatoes my son gad the Chicken w/ Waffles! I had the Strawberry w/Lime Daiquiri (Non -Alcoholic) really tasty!! The food came out hot! We didn't have to wait long and the staff are really friendly!! Ohhhhh and the portion sizes are GREAT!! You will NOT go home hungry!!! I'll be back

We had barely a wait when we went on Thursday at 11am, which was nice as we have tried to go here before when waits were just too long. I was excited to get the Detroiter sandwich, but wanted a scrambled egg instead of fried as I don't like yolks and was told no to this substitution. I was incredibly disappointed as that was what I really wanted. It wasn't conveyed to me if the fried egg was thoroughly cooked or why that simple cooking preference couldn't be honored. I ended up going for something cheaper and got a "standard breakfast" plate, which was meh. The toast was bland, only maple butter was given, so I did not butter it. I did request strawberry jelly when ordering, it wasn't originally given, but did ask for it again from the lady that delivered the food. The eggs were a generous portion, my dining companion got cheese in his, and they were a better flavor. The potatoes were ok, I love a house potato much more than a hashbrown, but many were overly crunchy, unfortunately. I would not order this plate again. Service was friendly, we were in and out in an hour and 10 minutes.

My mom has been telling me about this brunch spot for months. So I planned to go there with her for her birthday. The service, staff and food did not disappoint! We got the beignets which were phenomenal. I got the steak and eggs (got egg whites) with a lemon vinaigrette side salad and country style potatoes with sourdough toast. Mom got the seafood trio with a fried lobster tail, shrimp and fish over grits. Very generous portions and our server was amazing. I loved it! Can't wait to go back!

Dellah is located on a mixed residential and commercial street with plenty of parking nearby. We chose to eat lunch here in June 2026 since it wasn't too far from our hotel and we saw that they had outdoor seating - important since we had my little dog with us. The place was very busy but since we were eating outside, we had no wait and we were waited upon promptly. There are a LOT of American choices on here (like sugary pancakes) but a third of the menu consists of Yemeni food. I got a traditional Yemeni tea ($4.50) and my boyfriend sipped on a smooth matcha latte ($6.50). We had a big breakfast that morning, so we chose to just share the lahm sighar ($20), which comes with a piece of khuba bread, and also order an additional khuba bread ($2). About 15 minutes later, our food was ready and after taking the necessary pictures, we dug in! Needless to say, the extra bread was not necessary. I don't know what we were thinking but we assumed a piece of khuba was small. Nope! Each piece is the size of my 17-inch computer. Anyway, we used bits of the khuba as silverware to pick up the deliciously tender lahm sighar, something I saw others do when I went inside to use the bathroom and nosily looked around. I must mention that the BATHROOM HAS A BIDET. I REPEAT. BATHROOM HAS A BIDET!!!! Hehe :) seeing it just made me happy lol. So anyway, I saw that the coffee section of Dellah is set up inside like a traditional coffee shop where you can grab and go some coffee, tea, and pastries if you'd like. I did grab my bf, dog, and I some water from the coffee counter, which is self-service. We didn't leave a crumb behind and loved our food here. I would happily come back again! There is a 3% card surcharge fee so I paid the bill with cash, which came out to about 45 dollars after tax and tip. A little pricey, thanks to our expensive drinks, but so yummy!

I came here with our team. There was 10 of us in our party…read more Not sure whose idea among the Dellah staff thought it was a good idea to squeeze so many guys and me at two small tables by the door. This was an awful table to be at in here. We hardly had elbow room or table space, especially after the giant platter sized bread was out with all of the breakfast/ brunch items for half of the table. I ordered the Fazolia. Everyone else got omelets, burgers or wrap items. Yes, a couple of team members weren't keen on ordering Fasolia with scrambled eggs, large Greek salad, 2 lahm sighar (one with potato and one quit eggs), 2 smashed burger, Yemeni scrambled eggs, chicken fajita, Greek skillet, southwest skillet, chicken wrap, coffee, tea without milk, Turkish coffee, mint lemonade refresher. Every team member said their food was good. The scrambled eggs are a tad runny and looked a bit puréed. The fasolia has good flavor and even better with some heat. It came out piping hot. Without the added eggs, this dish would be woefully lacking in substance for me. I would likely still be left hungry with the beans alone, since I don't eat the bread, generally. I tried the bread to give it a go, it's good. The Greek salad is nicely plated or bowled rather. The ingredients are in separate piles and looks like a pinwheel. The red onions were crudely cut. The tomatoes looked wrinkled and not so appealing. The Greek salad was underwhelming for me. The tea doesn't taste good, definitely need some honey, sugar or the milk here, although I favor nothing in my tea.

For example, I get the "Hearty" breakfast most of the time and it comes with eggs, meat, pancakes, potatoes and toast, and it really highlights what is this place's strength. Eggs: I get mine scrambled and have a nice selection of hot sauce to choose from. Meat: I appreciate that they offer turkey sausage since I don't eat beef or pork, but my wife loves their bacon if that's your thing. Pancakes: quality varies the most here as they are sometimes a little pale (but still good) but more often the idyllic golden one expects when ordering. Potatoes: lots of variety here, too, as my home fries come in different sized cuts with seasoning ranging from none to "no need for salt or pepper?" Toast: Again, wide variety of choices, I go with sourdough most often If this sounds like a lot of food, there are lots of other options that make it appealing to smaller appetites. But what I like about the "Hearty" is all the choices and the variation in style (probably depends on who's staffing the griddle) allows me to order the same meal and still feel like I'm getting some variety. Having said that, keep an eye out for the specials. They sometimes are tempting enough to get me to stray from usual. At our table, we started with Chai Lattes. They offer milk alternatives-Yaay! The Chai was good sprinkled with cinnamon and steaming hot. It could have used a bit more chai, which I'm sure they would have supplied but it was good that I sipped away. To note, they do offer cocktails and beers, as not all brunch places do. We tried the Mushroom and Goat cheese Omelette and a Build your Own omelette. Our table was pleased as the omelettes may appear 'small' but don't let that fool you, they were packed with flavor. Also, the dishes were made to order. The cubed potatoes were delicious along with the Zingerman's Toast with strawberry jam. Oh yes, we also got a side of the chicken sausage and no disappointments. Everything was cooked to perfection. I must point out that the ingredients were fresh, we could taste the difference with the farm to table ingredients and the potatoes and omelettes were not greasy at all! I was craving a traditional breakfast plate but the staff and my friends who are local insisted that I needed to try the Korean fries so I did both. Was it greedy of me? Absolutely. Did I care? The burger and the duck hash. I think I'll go back and try the duck hash next time for sure. And another thing, there's a particular parking garage they validate a couple hours for. So parking is not an issue in this downtown office building.
