UNBELIEVABLE!!!! My wife went in for color and have her hair extensions raised. She expected the color to be about 350 to 500 and possibly putting her hair extention up another 500. While she was there she decided to buy some new hair.... okay... let's say 1k for that maybe instead of using her hair.... BUT THE FINAL BILL WAS $3967 !!! Of which 900 was the hair the rest was her labor. 1 day and she made $3900.... what a full blown rip off!!!! If your going to charge someone that much maybe you should tell them as your doing it. This is rhe biggest rip off of our entire life. $3900 stay away!!!!! read more

Liz has made a huge transformation with my hair and I nicknamed her the "hair magician"! I have been going to her for color and hair extensions. She is the most knowledgeable and best hairdresser I have ever been to and I get so many compliments on my hair! People never know I have extensions, and the color is perfect. Liz uses only the best products too. I will never go anywhere else again for my hair because she is the best!!! read more

Liz and her staff @ Avenue Liz Stricker Salon clearly have high quality branded training & are truly high performers in the salon! Liz has incredible big city hair skillzzz & knowledge, an exceptionally lovely chair-side manner, and a unique, inspired, creative personality! I was on vacation in from Maryland! I have weft extensions and had a little hair emergency. My sew in ended up breaking from the heat/salt water. I popped in the saloon with little hopes that someone could help due to how busy it was during new years. Liz fixed my hair in little under an hour!!!! She was amazing and I was so thankful. She truly saved my vacation. I will be going back here for my future hair needs in key west. read more

Great business! Dustin and Liz were there and both are super nice! Very welcoming! Dustin gave me a nice quick trim and it gave my hair the lift I needed! Cleaned up so well and it looks amazing. The staff are so nice and flexible. The salon is perfect sized and well adjusted for the times we live in (covid) and the styling and whole vibe of the place is perfect. Love, Love, Love this salon. I always leave Avenue Salon feeling refreshed and glowing. Liz listens to what you want and is attentive to detail. The vision is always on point. Color and cut are perfection. This is probably one of the worst hair salons I have ever been to…read more I went in there about six weeks ago for a retouch and eyebrow wax. Tina, the owner, did the services that I requested and it was the worst experience that i've ever had. I made my appointment weeks ahead of time and when I came into the\nSalon , she was with another customer already , and I had to wait. She rushed right through my services , doing a half ass job. All she wanted to do was get back to the other customer.Because the other customer was having hair extensions , hair color, cut and style. Which ended up being pretty pricey , I bet. For my retouch and half a** eyebrow wax , she charged me $180. She did not even want to blow dry my hair. Why she charges so much?I don't know because she's using the same products that I used to use in beauty school 15 years ago. She called me about three weeks ago after she read my review, crying. Crying about her business, how's she keeps losing stylists. It went on and on. She did offer me a free retouch and free eyebrow wax 3 weeks ago. I could not go at the time because I just had a total knee replacement and I told her I would get a hold of her when I was able to get around. I texted her today and she never replied. This is absolutely a horrible, horrible salon.And the owner is not a good person. I don't recommend it to anybody.

I have been wearing it in a clip for two weeks (yes, I did wash it during that time!). My color looked like dark and bleach - ick! I found this neighborhood gem on Yelp, gave them a call, and miraculously was able to get in. The reception booked me with Lee, and I went in "blind". Lee is Irish - as in born and raised in Ireland. He has been doing hair for 27 years and moved here from Dublin 5 years ago. Lee has beautiful taste, great personal style, and is HONEST! He politely told me that my blonde highlights were wrong for my skin tone and then went to work. I LOVE IT! He is also SUPER NICE as is his love, DJ, who is in training and was there to observe. DJ - also super cool, nice, and has impeccable taste. I also loved that I was the only client Lee was seeing and his attention was on me and my hair. Lee has styled for many of the big fashion houses in Europe, and many famous people we all know and love to hate! :-) I have already told two neighbors about Lee and this little gem! GO AND SUPPORT THIS LOCAL BUSINESS! It wasn't luck, it was fate. Lee is UNBELIEVABLE! I will make the 7-hour drive from Tampa again just to have him bless my hair! THANK YOU!!!

I will never go back there, and I will never recommend them to anyone. Randall seems like a very nice guy sad that he has someone working there that couldn't follow a simple direction for a trim.

Dear anyone that may be helpful…read more I am writing regarding the gel manicure I received at your salon on 7/7. I wouldn't be taking this to the level I am if I wasn't treated poorly on the phone. During my appointment, the technician used an electric file directly on my natural nails after removing my previous gel manicure. As someone who had only had a gel manicure once before, I trusted your staff's expertise and did not realize the amount of filing being done was abnormal even though it was burning me. Following the appointment, my natural nails became extremely thin, soft, and painful. (the same day) They now bend easily and are tearing down toward the cuticle. Because of the damage, I cannot safely have another manicure performed. When I called to discuss the issue, as I am not local, I requested a refund with proof of damage. Instead of addressing the damage that had already been done, I was told I would only be offered a redo. That a refund isn't part of their policy. Given the condition of my nails, another service was not an appropriate solution. I also found the way I was spoken to during this interaction to be unprofessional and upsetting, especially since I was only visiting the area to celebrate my birthday. I have documented the condition of my nails with photographs and am continuing to do so. If necessary, I will also seek medical evaluation for the damage. I am requesting a full refund of 80 (70 for gel and 10 for tip) within 10 business days of receiving this message. If this matter cannot be resolved, I am prepared to file a complaint with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation and consider pursuing reimbursement through small claims court for the cost of the service and any additional damages supported by documentation. I hope we can resolve this matter amicably and without further action. I have photo proof.
