This was the best spa experience i have ever had and i have been to some major spas in my life. The experience was a relaxing beginning to a peaceful and rejuvenating vacation. From the initial phone call as i spoke with michael who created my package, to the end of the day... Midnight... after having dinner with camden-the artistic director... The experience was perfect!! I walked into this quaint old house and didnt expect the place to be done as perfect as perfect could be! Andrea, from budspest, spent time making my body smooth with an organic wax and a facial that made my skin glow. And she was soooo very fun to talk with. I learned about the island and i learned the best places to eat! Then i had a body scrub and a hydrating massage by this wonderful man who i again learned so very much about the island from. It was perfectly relaxing and just perfect. Soooo perfect. (I unfortunately dont remember his name) but i do remember the wonderful things i learned from him and how amazing it felt as he lifted the tension out of me!!! The experience was perfect. I then received the most wonderful pedicure and i am now perfectly smooth and soft. Then... Because camden was soooo awesome (and it was clear the guy is an outragious perfectionist), i went and had a drink with him... We met up with this other man and then my husband and daughter who ate pizza with us. .. Perfect pizza because the locals know where to go... Perfect day. Now for the negatives... I flew in the day before and went to the pier house spa which is ranked one of the top US spa destinations... Without saying much because i want to forget what happened...i actually cried when this woman talked to me as she led me to the room to do my wax. I dont know that i have ever in all my life allowed someone to make me feel so bad about myself. I was so tired after having been up all night and she talked to me in ways i could never imagine treating someone. When i told her i was just tired because there was a storm and our plane was delayed she said not my problem. She then told me maybe i should just cancel. I walked all the way back to my cottage with tears blending into my skin. I passed the ocean wellness spa...I slept... Woke up... Called the ocean wellness spa and everything was all better again. My service was awesome and loved it! Michelle was wonderful! The only reason for the lower rating is because I got a classic mani/pedi the day before my wedding on the beach and just walking around somehow my big toe on my right foot got smudged, badly. I had been wearing my Birkenstock sandals so no idea how this happened and was dry upon leaving. I had foot jewelry for my wedding so I planned on getting pictures of my feet as well. I stopped in the same day to get it touched up 15 minutes before close and only the receptionist was there. She was kind enough to squeeze me in the next day but with my hair and makeup taking longer than expected with my wedding starting at 11am I couldn't make the 10am appointment. I didn't end up getting pictures of my feet since it was so noticeable. I also noticed I got charged for nail art design/French tips but didn't get this done and still paid the extra $10 for it. Of course this being the day before my wedding and just let it go but was definitely overpriced for what it was based on my experience in multiple states (WI, FL, and CO). $115 for pretty basic mani/pedi and like I mentioned the nail polish chipped bad on my feet within hours but at least my hands didn't start until the day after my wedding but still would've expected no chipping for at least 3 solid days after. read more

We were having a destination wedding in the Keys. My groom and I went to the spa the day before for couples massage (deep tissue) mani/pedi, and a waxing for myself. They really made us feel welcome. We had so much fun together and especially after the 9 hour drive to the Keys the day at the spa was very much needed. It was his first time in a spa and he enjoyed it so much he promised this could be a thing we do together on vacations from now on. If that doesn't tell you what a positive experience we had nothing will. I also arranged to have hair and make-up done the day of the wedding with my maid of honor. A lot of terrible things happened that day. For some reason the shellac didn't work on my nails, but they remedied it. I had the shakes from nerves and the kind gentleman who works in the front office kept coming in to check on me and do bridal lemaze with me. He was the best. I love him! They really went above and beyond even helping me to get my corset on. I will NEVER forget the two ladies (who worked on me and my maid) along with my sweet maid of honor in the bathroom trying to get that corset on tight enough. It was like a scene from Gone with the Wind! Thank you for all the fond memories! We will return to visit our next trip to the Keys! read more

The staff was warm and welcoming from check in to check out. I had a wonderful and relaxing massage with Mark on Saturday and a hair color and cut with Sarah on Sunday. After doing yard work for 3 weeks my shoulders and lower back were sore and full of knots. Mark was able to release the knots and eliminate the soreness all while providing a relaxing enviorment. I had a hair consultation with Sarah following my massage, she listened to what I would like to achieve with a new hair cut and color and made wonderful reccomendations. I was able to schedule with her on Sunday and boy did she deliver. Not only did she give me a beautiful cut and color she educated me on how to style my hair and what tools to use. She did not leave while my color processed like most hair stylist do, instead she continued our conversation and used the time to explain some of the products with me. I left there feeling like a new woman and with a ton of tricks on how to tame my cowlick. I will definitely return for some of the other services they offer. I had a chance to go back for a facial and a pedicure. Heaven is all I can say. It had been recommended that I see Patti, but she was off so I saw Candon today for my facial. It was questionably the best facial I have had in my life. The products were really effective and he did such a great job with the extractions and being hands on for the entire 60 minutes. It was the most pampering facial I have ever had and effective to boot. I highly recommend you try the natural facelift facial. I'm sold. I had Jasmine do my pedicure. I usually go to the Asian chop shops but decided to treat myself. I don't know if I will ever be able to go back to the Asian places. You get what you pay for. They use all these cool organic sea derived products, algae, salts and sea weed masks in the pedicure. I have seen nothing like this before. The products were great. It was again so hands on and my feet were dancing when I left. Can't wait to come back in two weeks. read more

Hands down the best message I've ever had. Therapist was Marc. An angel. I am almost 8 months pregnant and came for a couples massage with my husband. I thought I would have to be messaged on my side and treated with "baby gloves" as I have been with other prenatal massages. This spa has an incredible set up which allowed me to be face down for my massage, with my belly falling between these special pillows ( I felt weightless! ) then when I was on my back my table was inclined so It would also be safe for me and baby and the weight was distributed perfectly. He was so thorough and checked in on my comfort level often. He worked hard on all of my knots and was so organized with how he approached each section... it was a masterpiece. Essential oils were so calming... the oil was warm... he was strong and intentional every minute of my massage. I will dream about this massage until I'm back. Am I being over the top enough?! MARC. I was lucky enough to have the gift of a massage given to myself and two dear friends. We were all thrilled with each detail of the spa, the reception and overall energy. The bubble machine outside was such a great welcoming detail! We loved it so much we scheduled facials the next day. I'm vacationing from the north with of course dry winter skin, the moisture drench facial with Camden was INCREDIBLE! So sweet, relaxing but most importantly effective. I highly recommend anyone visiting here to splurge and enjoy. The experience was second to none. Also, as much as I respect anyone's review to be their own, the woman below posting about the male receptionist... I find it so hard to believe that man has a negative bone in his body! It was my first time ever getting a professional massage and I couldn't be happier with my experience at Ocean Wellness!! All of the staff are very friendly and welcoming. When I went back to for my massage I was a little nervous at first but the masseuse made me feel very comfortable and assured me that if I felt uncomfortable with pressure or technique that she would be sure to change it up. I also got a manicure and I will say it was the best I have had, the lady who helped me was very polite and patient as I was picking my color. She was gentle when working with my hands. When I was leaving the receptionists in the front were very helpful so that I wouldn't mess up my nails. I will definitely be going back regularly and recommend anyone who is wanting a fantastic massage and great service!! read more

We've been clients of Ocean Wellness Spa for several years, and really appreciate the professionalism the entire staff shows. The Spa itself is immaculate, and you find yourself surrounded with beautiful photographs of Key West and environs. Their follow ups are terrific, and customer contact is absolutely A1. We've never been less than 100% satisfied with every visit. We especially would like to recognize John Hooker, not only a great hairstylist, but a fine guy. He works his magic on both my wife's locks, and on my gray, straight hair as well. Our last appointments were just several days ago. In my almost 80 years, I've never had a better cut. I surprised my wife with a quick birthday trip to Key West highlighted by a visit to the Ocean Wellness Spa. We were SO impressed! I had booked a couples massage for us, and my masseuse was Hillary. I am not exaggerating when I say it was the most pleasant massage experience I have ever had. I had a 60 minute deep tissue massage, and my wife had the Swedish. We added 15 minute enhancements; reflexology for me and the key lime scalp treatment for her. The facility is beautiful; the front desk staff was professional, courteous, and helpful; and Hillary exceeded my every expectation. I thought the value was outstanding! Doris was excellent. We took a little adjusting but all in all I would definitely recommend her. I didn't give a full 10 for one reason. I was never asked about the pressure. I prefer being asked about the pressure as we go so it can be adjusted accordingly. It's ackward for me to have to ask for more pressure on my own. Other than this Doris was very skilled at her art and knowledgeable. She also gave me more info about lymphatics drainage that I was very happy to know bc I was unaware. I really love this spa and will book with u all each time I visit key west. Best spa I have tried yet out of all the ones I've gone to on the island with the best therapists. Loved this new addition to our little island! A beautiful space, that embodies relaxation, retreat and renew! I enjoyed a mother/daughter pedicure on a cool day with Jasmine the esthetician. We relaxed, sat back and enjoyed the Ocean Pedicure complete with leg and hand/arm massage, mask for the legs that felt remarkable and of course fun colors for our toes. Jasmine, was very professional, honoring our time to be quiet and our need to chat. The products they use are environmentally friendly, and so good for the body. I absolutely love this spa, I am local and visit Ocean Wellness often! My girlfriend booked me a pedicure and 90 minute massage for Valentine's Day. Jasmine is absolutely wonderful she did my pedicure and I haven't seen her in a long time and was thrilled that she was going to be my nail tec!!! Normally I would get a massage first but I really wanted to catch up with Jasmine, so my massage followed. Michelle did my massage and I have got to tell you this was absolutely the best massage I have ever had!
