After spending considerable time on the phone with my insurance provider, I was informed that the problem did not originate with the insurance company, but rather with the office's billing process. What frustrated me most was not only being given incorrect information, but also the way I was treated during the interaction. The billing manager was rude and disrespectful, and after the error was identified, there was no acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused and no apology. Patients should not have to spend their own time resolving internal billing errors, especially while being treated unprofessionally. While I continue to appreciate the dentists and staff who provide excellent clinical care, my experience with the billing department left me very discouraged.
