I guess he wasn't completely worthless. Two panes of glass had been shattered on my bottom bedroom window sill, and I brought in the entire piece to Russell's. It's definitely a small location where you just kinda walk into a couple offices to get help. I had everything with me, and the lady I spoke with measured everything and quoted me a price in about 5 minutes. She said they'd have the window back to me in about a week and that they'd call me when it was ready. 6 days later I get a call that it's ready for pick up. For $77 they replaced both panes of glass and put everything back together so I could simply slide it back into the gaping hole in my window and secure it in place. Voila! I had a great experience with Russell's. Everything was perfectly measured and fit back good as new. It's really nice to rely on great local businesses to help ease your mind and make life a bit easier after something as nerve racking as a break in. Also, love that they got it to me in less than a week! For something as important as a replacement window in a house when it's 3 degrees outside, that's pretty spectacular. Note: they are open 7:00am to 4:00pm, but give them a call; they often have people staying late if you need to go in for a pick up or drop off.

Unfortunately, our experience this time around was terrible -- I cannot in good faith recommend them anymore. Giving two stars (rather than one) because the work quality was very good. Subs did a great job, were friendly and cleaned up after themselves. In the end, we didn't go over budget. But we paid a lot of money and experienced a lot of unnecessary delay and drama. In short, our project was a victim of poor communication and lack of ownership taking responsibility. We went through four project managers: the first went MIA on us, delaying the demo start by 6 weeks; the second hadn't read any of the project briefing and let us to believe none of our materials had been ordered; the third was too busy with other projects to make ours a priority; and the fourth was brand new, didn't really know what he was doing, and wasn't getting the oversight he needed from leadership. To the company's credit, they didn't end up charging us for project management--as we'd been doing a big portion of it ourselves. Ultimately, a project that should've taken 8-10 weeks took 16 weeks (and that's after the 6-week-delayed start). The thing that was most frustrating was that while Dan was fairly responsive to our outreach when things were regularly going wrong, he was also regularly pretty dismissive of our concerns and didn't take responsibility for all of the mistakes and screw-ups that were the result of his team's failings--failing to read the brief; failing to install underfloor heating and electrical that was in the brief, resulting in ripping up tile that had just been laid; failing to inspect goods on arrival so that they could be replaced when broken without delaying the project; failing to tell us about budget implications of design choices, etc. Dan will say I was mad when things went wrong, and that some of those things were out of their control. Yes, I was mad. But mostly I was disappointed that I trusted this company, and they took advantage of that trust.

This lack of clarity caused delays and unnecessary stress. In addition, the quality of the work did not meet expectations. Several areas were finished hastily, with visible flaws that required additional repairs. While most of the team was polite in person, the overall execution and attention to detail fell short. We had some issues with lazy decision making without our consent. Those were handled according during renovations so that's fine. However, we are just over 2 years living in our home and we already have to hire a roofer because of how awful the job was. We have multiple leaks. Ascension came out less than a month ago and they claimed the roof was fine and have refused to fix their mistake which is why I'm now here. If you want someone to do the job right the first time, go somewhere else.

This company has a lack of communication and writing things down. I had to remind them several times of specs we talked about and they stated they didn't remember. I had to come by my residence daily to ensure the job was staying on track, during this time several things had to be redone. While they were doing the construction they damaged one of my vent lines to the kitchen and placed duct tape on it (never told me). The paint first started pealing off the wall, the vanity was not placed in the correct place and the plumbing was not done to specs. The small amount of electrical work was way over price (this came later and was not on the estimate)!!! We had to purchase the faucet, toilet, sink and vanity, shower head and hand rails. Which were not included in the estimate. I would look for another contractor, unless you have time in your day to check on it daily. Would highly not recommend this company.

And their bid was lower than the two verbal bids the others gave. EVERY contact with them was positive. They communicated with me about meeting times, delivery date, installation date and each time they kept their promise and showed up at the time we agreed to. I'm so happy I went with them to replace the windows. They did a great job. I recommend them totally!

Did everything they promised! Eagle Roofing did a great job…read moreon our very steep and large roof replacement. The guys (huge crew) showed up early and worked until the roof was completed and property cleaned up that evening (They even magnetically raked the property for stray nails). Carlos (their sales rep.) was very helpful and patient walking us through all the steps needed to get our damaged roof replaced. All in all, we would recommend them highly. Thanks guys!
