Believe all the bad reviews!!!! I soooo wish I would have read them before doing business here. Usually I do. Lesson learned. I brought in several pairs of shoes. After Leo quoted me a price that all new shoes. I decided to only get 2 repaired. Although still extremely expensive I decided to proceed. I dropped them off on the 6th, with a promise from Leo that my shoes would be ready by the 11th. I needed 1 pair for my sons' graduation on the 12th. I wore something else instead. I tried to pick them up this past Saturday. They were closed. I tried on the 25th, after calling and looking up business hours. I drove over from Culver City only to find they were closed, and a note with new hours. In addition, a noted stating they would be closed 6/30-7/5 for the holiday. I came back on the 26th. No Leo. The ladies that were there could not find my shoes. After a detailed description they found them. Nothing at all had been done to one pair, so I took those and asked for the difference to be refunded. I was told that only Leo could give refunds and he wasn't answering. You could tell this was routine for the one young lady. The 2nd pair that was promised on the 6th he had started. They looked horrible. I was going to leave them for him to finish, but having my shoes held hostage for 2 more weeks, no guarantee that I'd ever see them again, and the oversized, incorrect heel end that he had attached made me go back in and rescue them. I left my number, but have not heard from anyone. And yes I got the same excuse others on this site got months ago about the machine not working. I'm hoping that my credit card company will reverse the charges.

The disaster. The 805 box, Ralphs and Trader Joe's bags should have been my red flags.

If I could give this place less stars, I would. Because that's what it deserves. Less stars. If you have an option (which you should, because that's the beauty about life), you should NOT go here. Super unprofessional and disorganized. I brought 3 shoes in to get cleaned - I was told a specific date to pick these up. Fast forward to that specific date. Only one pair was ready, and we had to wait an hour to get this pair because the guy helping us didn't know where they were, so he had to drive to the "other store" to see if they were there. When I came in to pick up the other two shoes on the next date suggested, they had a sad, sad handwritten sign in the window saying that they would be back in 1.5 hours. So that's what we waited, and we were finally given our shoes in assorted paper bags. This place advertises the cleaning of Louboutins, but LET ME TELL YOU, I would not trust them with my Vans. And so, I've learned my lesson - always Yelp a place before you walk in. Also, don't trust a place that has shoes in Ralphs and Trader Joe's bags. Or 805 boxes (yes, the beer). The cleaning itself was ok. They didn't get all of the stains out, but it is what it is. The service was not worth $80.00 they charged.

    Purse wrinkled

My purse wasn't ready on time when promised. Then when I came to pick it up- it was all wrinkled from the adjustment (I wanted the sides reinforced). It's a cheap purse but still it's totally unusable now.

Every time I walk into his shop, I'm greeted with seeing how diligent and tired he is to do it all by himself. Unbeatable prices too. In the many years ago, I've lost count of how many pairs of shoes I've brought to him over the years, and I trust him completely with all of them--especially my favorite name-brand heels and boots. He treats every pair with such care, and I honestly hope he stays in business forever because I'm definitely going to keep him busy! I tend to wear my shoes down "like cray-cray," which always makes me think of my absolute favorite fairy tale from childhood: The 12 Dancing Princesses. You know, that story about the twelve royal sisters who would sneak out every night to dance until their shoes were worn completely through? I feel like a modern-day version of them minus the dancing lol but just daily usages, every time I drop off a bag of shoes at Iggy's! It remains one of my favorite stories to revisit--if you haven't read it lately, I highly recommend picking up a copy. It's such a charming classic!

They have their own parking lot with free parking. Be careful not to park in their lot if you're not actually visiting the business (or the spa next door), as they have signs all over the place that clearly state that they tow vehicles. Dry cleaning only takes a few days, and hemming took less than a week. I didn't have any firm deadlines, so time wasn't of the essence, but let them know if you do and they can work with you. Keep in mind that hemming and tailoring will require you to change into the clothing on-site so that the tailor can pin the adjustments. There is a restroom in the very back for privacy - a bit tucked away and generally not for public use, but it does the trick. If you're trying to adjust pants or a dress, be sure to bring the shoes that you'll be wearing so that you have a solid idea of how the item will look once adjusted. Prices are a bit on the higher end compared to other small tailor and dry cleaning businesses that I've been to around LA. Tap to pay is your best bet for speed and convenience. I have not addressed this issue with the owner, but at this point, I'm not sure there is anything they can or will do. I noticed this shop took over the old One Hour Photo that had been here for decades, but closed. It's in the CVS shopping center, right next to Noah's Bagels. I took my shoes in, the proprietor and shoe repairman came out from the back. He gave me a quote of $30 to re-glue both heels. I took them in on a Saturday. He asked me if Friday was okay? I said yes and paid in advance. He gave me a copy of my receipt and stapled it to the ticket. Not too talkative, but he's a busy guy. He has quite the workshop back there, behind the counter. From the front, you can see his work bench and machinery. When I came back, there was a line. I also noticed there was a significant volume of shoes that were repaired and ready for pickup. I gave him my ticket, which he used to pull the plastic bin my shoes were in. Yay, new glue. I'm happy. I noticed he repairs purses, so that may be next on my list. He also sells merchandise. For those of you who are from this area, and/or may remember, this business is located in the same location that used to be the one hour photo forever. The one hour photo is long gone, but this business has taken over the space. Once inside, you'll find a whole lot of shoelaces. I find this really helpful, if you really want to get some colorful shoelaces, or a very specific type of shoelace, this business probably has it hanging on the wall. Great stuff! Mainly, most people come in here to get their shoes repaired. FYI, this business also does luggage and purse repair, extra key creation, and a few other things, as well. We went to this business to have a pair of shoes repaired. Basically, the processes is, the owner takes a look at what needs to be done, tells you a price, you pay it upfront, and then you come to pick up your shoes when they are done. For us, it was one week later. This all seems very fair and very reasonable. So, if you need some shoes repaired, or some luggage repaired, or even want a great set of shoelaces, this is your business to go to.

I called on March 12 to check the status of my bag and was told that they did not have approval from me to fix it and that I never left a deposit, so it was not being worked on. I was confused because I gave approval on February 29 and was never asked about a deposit. After hearing that my bag was not being worked on, I said it was okay, and I would come to pick it up, and I no longer wanted it fixed. However, I was told that I couldn't pick it up because it was not at the location and the girl who fixes them has it, but I could pick it up on March 13 after she drops it off.
