Avid coffee is a local favorite. My go-to is their honey vanilla latte (locally sourced). The place is very spacious and has great lighting. It's a great place to study at & hangout. I also love going there because the location is surrounded by other places like boudin, bagel shop, shake shack & more, so I can always get food to eat after getting my coffee.

This place was packed coming in around 10:30am. Every table and bar seat was taken with no cycling out, the peeps are there to stay. Maybe this is the happening place to be in the area on the weekend. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Girl taking our order helped us understand what was in the breakfast sandwich and egg burrito. The breakfast sandwich is a fritta- the bread was a bit too think for my liking. U can add avocado or bacon. I really liked the egg breakfast burrito. Alot of egg and tater tots and not too dry. I liked added the extra salsa on the side but had to ask for this- and they r busy so dunno if i was an exception. They also have cholula sauce. My matcha is not ceremonial but hot matcha latte with oatmilk was good and comforting. U can add honey urself. We also got coffee and he said he was more light but good, not that strong but not sure if it was just a light roast. Overall would recommend a stop by!

There are many great coffee shops in Sonoma County that are locally owned and operated. Avid has several locations, but their Montgomery Village location is my favorite. It's such big, bright space that feels very inviting. The service is really great here and they make wonderful food and drinks. I love the coffee and the pastries here, but my favorite thing are their breakfast sandwiches. Their basic breakfast sandwich has an egg and spinach frittata, a white cheddar, and comes on an English muffins. I am not one who loves English muffins, but their English muffin is an exception. It's soft, and doughy in an almost bagel like texture. I added bacon and their pesto to the sandwich and the combination was perfect. My wife got their spicy breakfast sandwich, which adds a spicy sauce. She also added their onions, which are pickled. So so good. My only criticism would be that they should actually say on their menu that the onions come pickled. If I ordered the onions I might assume they would come differently. This is a wonderful, local establishment! Come check them out!

Great coffee shop. Tons of indoor and outdoor seating. They have seriously good matchas, coffees and other drinks. The baked goods are top notch. The only ding I would give them is the breakfast sandwiches are kinda mid. Staff are stellar!

Great neighborhood coffee shop. We like to support local so we went a little out of our way to avoid Starbucks and get coffee here. The place has lots of parking and is very spacious. It's clean and has good lighting. There were a couple customers enjoying their coffee and working inside the store but most people took their order to go. They have a water station , free WiFi and a gender neutral bathroom stall. They sell their coffee beans! They also have a selection of pastries. Menu is good, just like any coffee shop. Got an Americano and was out the door. Fast, friendly service, clean shop. Thank you!

Visit if you have some extra time on your hands. Avid coffee has a following in this area and because of this, a drink order placed at the counter may take a while; on some mornings Ive waited 20+ minutes for a simple Americano. The options are limited in this neighborhood so it's a busy place on a daily basis during the morning and early afternoon hours. That being said, they serve one of the best gluten free muffins I've ever had and the coffee is pretty good. In addition to coffee and tea drinks, you can order some fresh baked pastries along with a few more hearty breakfast options such as avocado or salmon lox on toast. The yogurt parfait is served with house made granola which is a solid option.

Coffee is always great? Nice that they have a location up here is Santa Rosa, the folks here are awesome worth a stop. They had a honey Bee Latte it was so good. And the basic drip is well amazing.. come on in.

Probably my favorite coffee shop in the area. The Montgomery Village location is very popular and wait times can be extended. I usually order online for pickup. Most of the tables are usually full and they don't turn over quickly. They have a set standard offering of coffee drinks with a few featured seasonal options. I love to try their fun new creations. In February they had a chocolate biscotti latte that had a mini biscotti on top. So cute and was delicious. The coffee shop also offers a menu of breakfast & lunch. They have a salted chocolate chip cookie that is amazing that I end up buying almost every time I'm there (no will power). Their coffee's are ethically & sustainably sourced. I like to buy their coffee beans, so I can brew coffee at home. Quality is very high. All and all a great place for coffee and a bit of food.

Love Avid Coffee! Was in the neighborhood this afternoon so had to stop by to grab a bag of beans. Love the bright, light, and clean interior - so inviting. As are the staff! The line was short but they were still pretty busy around 1pm on a weekday - looks like lots of folks make this their second or third place, for remote working and/or meetings. This Avid location offers lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and much of it was occupied. Love to see them thriving! I grabbed my Furlong beans from the pretty wall. Each bag comes with a cup of complimentary black coffee. Nice touch. Thanks Avid! Look forward to enjoying my beans at home, and to trying more of your menu items on a future visit.

This coffee shop in Montgomery Village is very good. We've been here on several visits to Santa Rosa. The lattes are tasty. They have filtered water, which you serve yourself either in a paper cup or a metal cup. The staff were friendly and explained their daily pastries. Not sure about all of the pastries but the daily scone is made at Red Bird bakery, one we like in Santa Rosa, but baked in-house. The scone was exceptional. This place has a good vibe and the windows make it feel airy inside.

Solid espresso pull with well roasted beans. Friendly and amiable staff. Modern, bright and airy space. Prices are fair. Popular for all these reasons. A bit of a line when I arrived midmorning, but moved quickly. I had my usual Iced Americano, should have gotten the 12 ounce instead of the 16. They had a delicious seasonal peppermint mocha as well. read more

I love Avid Coffee. It always hits. It doesn't matter if I'm grabbing one of their unique seasonal drinks or the old trusty mocha, it is always incredible. How busy they constantly are should speak enough to how amazing it is. Being in Montgomery Village helps a lot as it is the only coffee spot around. I love stopping here when I just want a little treat. I always get some form of coffee and I'd be lying if I didn't say their salt chocolate chip cookies has a complete chokehold on me. I love that cookie. Typically I don't buy cookies from restaurants cause they aren't as good as the ones I make at home but this is the exception! It's so good. Now I want one again. read more

Stopped in today since I'd heard so much about this place. Disappointed that I couldn't find a place to sit. There were many people sitting with their computers that were either not drinking anything or had empty cups in front of them. Similar to Starbucks, people just here to use the free WiFi. Other than that, the coffee was good. read more

I was visiting family in Santa Rosa, CA, and we stopped for breakfast at Avid Coffee. Spending time with family, I often neglect my phone. Still, I'm kicking myself for leaving my phone in the car on both mornings I visited recently because the avocado toast, gluten-free pumpkin muffin, and incredible salmon toast were all beautiful! They were definitely photo-worthy, and even better, they were delicious! That said, I had never spent $80 for breakfast for three people before... wow! Prepare yourself. Still, no regrets! At 10 am on a Monday the line was 8 people deep. Every chair was full and the noise level was moderate/loud. Hipster vibes. Lots of natural light, wood, black and white. Free Wi-Fi. Parking is plentiful. The drip coffee was good, no complaints. The salted chocolate chip cookie was finished with Maldon sea salt. I would get it again. It was salty, sweet, crispy on the edges and chewy in the middle. The coffee bar had whole milk and half and half. Honey as well as simple syrup. Stevia and sugar in the raw packets. It was well stocked, especially considering how busy they were. The two seasonal drinks were a pumpkin chai or latte and a gravenstein steamer with apple juice and oat milk? If you want to support a local coffee shop and don't mind the wait or the noise level, this is a good bet. If you want to get some work done and hangout, this is not the location for you. Or consider going during off peak hours or the afternoon. The tables are very small. Better to meet a friend but not for groups. read more

First of all they they have great tasting coffee. It's probably the best tasting coffee in s.r. They are very friendly there and the place has a good atmosphere. My complaint is about the avocado toast and the price. Honestly it was one of the worst avocado toast I've had in a long time. It's a small slice of white bread with mashed avocado and some sprinkled seeds on top for over $11.00! My daughter and I literally laughed at the tast when it came out. It had no side salad, no side of fruit , not anything! I got an 8oz latte with vanilla and my daughter got ice tea and this horrible excuse for a meal and it came to 25$. Then they flip around the machine asking for a tip. We left severly disappointed. read more

Avid Coffee has quickly become my go-to coffee house for a variety of reasons, and it's hard to say if their coffee or customer service is #1 for me because both qualities are exceptional. I guess it has to be the coffee; they put such great care into every detail of the preparation and presentation of your beverage. A line out the door on weekends can't be wrong, I definitely recommend ordering ahead through their website. The customer service is just as outstanding. While the in store customer service has certainly gone above and beyond, their administrative team has also provided continued, consistent support demonstrating their commitment to serving their local community the most distinguished coffee in the county. I used to come here when it was known as Acre Coffee, but I'm glad to see that the café still serves delicious espresso and has even expanded its outdoor seating. I ordered my usual -- oat milk cappuccino -- and it was strong and frothy, as it should be. Thumbs up! Other coffee shops tend to add way too much milk to cappuccinos, essentially making them lattes. Not Avid Coffee, thank god. I didn't order any food on my recent visit, but the breakfast sandwiches and avocado toast looked delicious. Love the clean, modern vibe of the place. I can imagine Avid would be quite busy in the mornings, but I was able to snag an outside seat on a weekday afternoon. This is a go-to place for coffee if you're in the vicinity of Montgomery Village in eastern Santa Rosa. read more

Was heading back to Davis and stopped here for some coffee. It was our first time coming here, the location is so big and spacious! I loved the interior and me and my sister were saying that if we lived here we would come here often to work. I ordered the caramel macchiato, I give it a 5/5. I could really taste the espresso. My sister got a matcha with lavender syrup, it was pretty sweet but the matcha tasted good. Would come again! read more

We got the drip coffee and it was a perfect road trip stop! What a neighbourhood gem - beautiful coffeeshop to sit and read in too, with a lot of light. Not sure about plugs but saw some people working with laptops. Service was friendly and quick too :) A little crowded on a holiday morning but not insane. Next time we'll get their beans! read more

Even though the barista was clearly super busy, he still managed to acknowledge us and even wished us a great weekend. This is for the tea folks. I like Avid for coffee and ambience, but I'd love to see more effort on "For Here" tea set up. This coffee shop used to have French presses for their loose leaf tea on a wooden tray, now it's a tea bag in a 16oz glass with a cardboard sleeve. :/ I'd expect that at a 2nd wave coffee shop, not a third wave bougie spot, it's why I splurge here, for the attention to detail. read more

New to the area, coffee is great! You can order ahead, which I would recommend if you don't have time to sit in. However they do have plenty of seat and is in a walkable neighborhood, there's a lululemon nearby! The coffee is great, no Starbucks here. Pastries are great! Ever seen bacon like this? What are those black veins? Suggestion: avocado toast should have tons of avocado... not a barely perceptible smear... even if I add the optional pesto... doesn't mean you can skimp on avo and just drown in pesto.... Slow slow slow slow. I can't remember a time where I waited so long for a cup of coffee. They have two espresso machines. They use one espresso machine. Probably not coming back with the number of amazing 3 wave coffee shops in the area. The code is fine, not amazing. You can do better read more

Always looking for a good mocha when I'm on different med rotations, and Avid/Acre Coffee def has a good one! Definitely on the trendier side. Cafe has nice large windows and tables for indoor/outdoor seating. Located in the little mall next to Boudin SF. Mocha with oat milk was nice and warm. Can definitely taste the cacao. Salted Chocolate Chip Cookie ($3) was crispy and had yummy gooey chocolate distributed throughout. I think it could of had a little less sea salt (maybe if more distributed than just in the center), but has v good cookie potential. Would come back for my caffeine fix! read more

Starting a lovely Wednesday morning at Avid coffee. The place is very spacious inside and has lots of parking. I tried the Acre Dream nitro brew iced coffee along with a salted chocolate chip cookie. Beautiful location filled with morning sunshine. Pleanty of space to work either individually or a small group. Breakfast sandwich is substantial and will definitely fuel my morning hike. The salted chocolate chip cookie will fill in any gaps. The morning crew seems to be having a great time and provided super fast service even though I'm not in hurry today. The aioli is on the side, but just adding a little bit to each bite gives it so much extra. We also ordered the special of the day which was a Smoked Chicken and Butternut Squash Hash. It has some of the same elements of sautéed onions and bell peppers, but this was served with a cilantro aioli. This dish, while not as amazing at the other Hash, was still really good. We stood looking at the menu on the wall while the barista stood waiting for us to order. I didn't see the "special" matchas I found through the photos on Yelp then finally noticed that there was a special menu flat on the counter. I think it would be helpful if the special drinks were easier for customers to see. We both ordered then waited for our drinks. While we waited I thought I would go to the restroom, but unfortunately when I checked it was out of order. Don't get confused and go into the "employees only" door! Once we received our drinks, I was glad to see the color of both our matchas were a nice shade of green. The drinks itself were way too sweet and I could barely taste the matcha. To note, this was better than a Starbucks matcha -- it just wasn't our cup of tea. It was good to try but personally, we are not coming back.

My wife and I stopped by today for breakfast before taking a nice walk through Juilliard Park and the surrounding neighborhood. I had a delicious breakfast burrito with added bacon. The flavors and textures of this burrito made me smile when I took my first bite. It comes with some spicy salsa that provides a nice tang. My wife had the Chicken bahn mix sandwich and this was also delicious. The sriracha sauce is quite spicy and the spice gets intense after several bites, but it's so so good. We also had a salted Caramel mini muffin that I highly recommend as just a little bite for dessert.

Parking might suck, you could find street parking maybe on 8th St or if you're early you could park by the meters for free before 9AM. There's a $1/hr parking garage right nearby but if there's nothing, best to park at SR Plaza for free and make the 5min walk over. It's just a nice cozy touch. The breakfast burritos were good but they could be mixed a little better. It was very sectioned by egg, cheese, potato and bacon. Like each bite only had one. Layering might help this but the flavor was still amazing! Brew is known for being welcoming to everyone and that has never changed. We love the environment and the service they provide!

Every employee we interacted with was genuinely friendly and welcoming, and the prices were very fair for the quality of the food and overall experience. We enjoyed breakfast so much that we came back the very same evening for dinner and the mariachi performance. The dinner menu is different from the breakfast menu, and once again, everything we ordered was outstanding. The food was delicious, the cocktails were fantastic, and even dessert was exceptional. I'm so glad we discovered this hidden gem. It's rare to find a restaurant that delivers such an amazing experience from start to finish, twice in the same day! Famous for their award winning beers, the Russian River Brewing Company was formed by the…read moreCalifornia Korbel Winery in 1997. The original brew master became the co-owner when the winery left the beer business in 2003. It was then moved this location in 2004, opening as a brewpub. It's been on my list of places to visit for a while, so my wife, her mom, and I took the opportunity to stop in for a Thursday night dinner on our way to San Francisco from Fort Bragg. The inaugural double IPA (aka Imperial IPA) was made by the current co-owner at a different brewery in 1994. Double means it uses double the hops and malts, and the ABV is quite a bit higher. He then created Pliny the Elder (ABV 8.0%) in 2000, recognized as the most famous DIPA. The track continued, with Pliny the Younger in 2005, a triple IPA (using triple the hops and malts with ABV of 10.25%). This version is available once a year in the spring, since it costs so much money and time to make. With so much malt being used, a large amount of time (and hops) is needed to balance. I've had Pliny the Elder in bottles before, and really liked it: I don't like the hoppy 'piney' taste in my beers, but also recognize that not enough will make the beer too sweet (which I've been facing with a lot my island beers lately). Parking is street only, but there was a lot of it, with the metered parking only requiring payment till 6 pm. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and immediately seated at a table near the bar. As expected, it was quite loud, with after work folks having a good time. We got menus, ordered our food, and then decided what to do about flights. The brewery is also known for their Belgian style and thus offers two different flights. It was my first time, and didn't know how much my wife could help, so decided to order the California Sampler (a selection of 12 different West Coast 5 oz. pours of ales and lagers for $15.45) to start: O.V.L. Stout (Old Vic Loyals) - Irish nitro stout - really beginning to love stouts, and this one was good. Velvet Glow - lager - solid. Ending up buying 6 pack to bring home ($12.99) STS Pils - pilsner. Bought a 6-pack for $12.99. Russian River Porter - Blind Pig IPA - West Coast IPA Happy Hops - Juicy IPA Mosaic Stack - West Coast IPA SimCoe 25 - West Coast IPA Citra Flash Mob - West Coast IPA Mind Circus - Hazy IPA DDH Pliny the Elder - really good. bought two cans at $5.99 each. Pliny the Elder - the original Felt pretty good, so decided to order the Belgian Sampler (9 different for $13.63), Surprisingly, I didn't like it nearly as much (my favorite fruit beer during this trip was the Howzit Punch beer). Petite Robert - table beer Little White Lie - Belgian White Robert - saison Perdition - biere de sonoma Damnation - golden strong ale Mortification - quad Supplication - sour brown ale Intinction - barrel aged pilsner Consecration - sour dark ale In terms of the food, it was solid. The 8 pc chicken wings ($17) were good, and the cheesy garlic bread ($10) was filling. I had the meatball sandwich ($16) and upgraded the fries to a spinach salad (+$4): it was tasty, loved the toasted French bread and marinara sauce, with the meatballs being OK (tasted from frozen)...loved the spinach salad with strawberries and blue cheese. We finished off our meal with a Vinnies (co-owner) sundae: good vanilla ice cream with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and a lot of almond slivers. Payment was at the table, and me being again very pleasantly surprised at how little the flights were (a typical brewpub where they charge $3-$4 per 5 oz, would have cost 4 times as much...though of course I wouldn't have drunk as much either).

Their ice cream flavors are really unique and fun, with lots of flavors and textures. Tonight I tried their Sticky Toffee flavor, which was superb. Before coming to Acre I had no idea what a good cup of coffee should taste like, after experiencing even just a cup of their drip I was hooked. Their espresso drinks are simple and actually taste like coffee not a milkshake (no offense sugar enthusiasts). In my opinion the staff is warm, friendly and cares about what they serve.
