Very nice and clean. Nice size rooms. The soap supplied was tiny. No shampoo. Otherwise a good stay.

The last visit we were helped by a woman at the front desk while booking the room and when we checked in. I wish I could remember her name. She was so kind and helpful. Very pleasant woman from the UK. I would give this hotel 5 stars but the last two times we came the pool was unclean. This last time there was so much hair in and around the pool it was really gross. And multiple band aids laying around. It just seems like they do not clean it enough. Also, save yourself the pain and call the hotel directly and avoid the 800 number!

They offer you two drinks that you redeem with a card that you get at check in. While enjoying happy hour they offer you chips, pretzels and either fruit or a vegetable platter. No complaints there. The breakfast is nice you have an omelet bar that makes them made to order with great topping options. Cereal, juices and muffins are a staple every morning. Now in the room there are things left to desire. Walking into the room it looks nice and smells decent but when you look up close the soap dishes have left over soap from a prior stay. The shower head and seams of the shower and full of old gunk as if they haven't been cleaned in a while. All and all a decent stay but not the best hotel stay that I have had at a hotel. The front desk employee named Mo was great every morning that we left he always had a bright smile and a positive word of encouragement. He made the not so great part of the stay better. You need more Mo's at your hotel.

It was all arranged nicely and the view from the room was fantastic! The entire hotel only has 6 rooms so it was extremely nice and quiet. Check-in was easy and staff was nice. Breakfast was either brought to your room or eaten in the lounge. It was ordered the day before and brought to you in the morning, very nice. Our older daughter thought it was "fancy" and wants to come back. It was an extremely pleasant stay and we will be back!

We were able to gather in the lounge and go at our own pace. We stay here every time we return to the area. The rooms (recently updated) have always been big, very well appointed and pristine. It's incredibly quiet and parking is right there and always available. The best part is the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The last time we came, they took great pains to help us get a (very hard) reservation at the student-run restaurant in the same building. They are also very knowledgeable about the area. The really good breakfasts are served at whatever time you want, either directly to your room or in the very nice lounge right next to the rooms. Why stay at a much more expensive and impersonal hotel when you can have a relaxed and quiet visit and save a bunch of money at the same time?

I recently spent a week at the Hampton Inn & Suites Downers Grove Chicago, from Sunday through…read moreFriday, to attend a workshop in the Chicago area. Unfortunately, my arrival at the hotel was a bit rocky due to a delay of more than four hours in my flight, and I did not arrive at the hotel until approximately 1:30 am. Fortunately, I was able to quickly complete the checkin process, and my room was available upon arrival, which was a huge win after what had been a very long travel day! The remainder of my stay was fantastic. The hotel was extremely quiet during the entire week of my stay, and that helped get a lot of rest after the long days I experienced at the workshop. My room had a fantastic layout, with a separate sitting area that contained furniture, a small refrigerator, and an office desk, perfect for doing some work in the evenings and early mornings! The bedroom had window door style that allowed you to have your own private space, and there was also direct access to the bathroom from the bedroom. Complimentary breakfasts were served at the hotel each morning, which was a big plus for me during a very busy week! There were many different items to choose from, including scrambled eggs, bacon, muffins, bread which you could toast, bagels, and a waffle machine. I enjoyed having many choices, and it was nice to be able to quickly pick something to take with me as I headed out for the day. The breakfast area was large, and there was always plenty of space to sit and eat. One of the most enjoyable things about the week was on Wednesday when the hotel held a complimentary happy hour for its guests. They provided a wide range of foods to enjoy, including salads, soups, and desserts such as brownies! This was wonderful for the hotel to host and it gave me a wonderful opportunity to grab a quick bite to eat for dinner on Wednesday! One of the other highlights of the stay that I thought was particularly beneficial was the shuttle service. The hotel offered transportation to and from the workshop location each day, which made getting around very easy and worry free! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Downers Grove Chicago. The quiet rooms, the comfortable design of the room, the excellent quality of the breakfast, and all of the thoughtful extras, such as the happy hour and the shuttle service, made the entire experience truly amazing! I will be returning to the same hotel anytime I have business in the Chicago or Lombard areas again!

0 Stars, I wish I didn't have to choose one star in order to post…read more I will be sharing this review EVERYWHERE I can. Absolutely horrible experience, the front desk man last name tate didn't catch the first name blatantly violated ADA accessibility laws, What makes the entire situation worse is that I was not even staying in the hotel! I have a service dog, the father of my daughter was staying at this location for work, I arrived to drop off my daughter for a visit as well as some groceries and cake as it was his birthday. Literally as soon as we arrived to drop off, this man came up to the room not only pounding on the door but literally screaming at me to get my dog out. I explained that this is my legally allowed service dog and that I would not be staying as I was simply dropping things off, he then pushed his way into the room still screaming in front of my young daughter and scaring my service dog to under the bed shaking. He proceeded to say that her father would now be put on the do not rent list and would need to leave the next day but my service dog needed to leave immediately, instead of staying my daughters father said we would just all leave now so we began to gather belongings and the groceries I had just arrived with. The desk man "Tate" attempted to insist I leave WITHOUT my belongings and remove my service dog. He then threatened to call police to which I responded "please do because you are violating the ADA" and I continued to gather belongings. He obviously did not call the police. Shocker. At this point several other hotel guests were lingering in the hallway because of the scene. He stood holding the door open and repeated "get the dog out get the dog out over and over until we had packed the entire room up. This man is clearly not only unstable and on some kind of bizarre power trip but also just flat out awful and unpleasant not to mention blatantly disregarding the FEDERAL LAWS and ADA protecting service animals and their handlers rights. This chain needs to fire this man immediately and do better. If you are disabled or handicapped in any way stay FAR away from this place! The Downers Grove location is MUCH better. Cleaner, better staff and doesn't violate the ADA.

Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites, in Lombard, Illinois I s located conveniently I located near…read morethe highway, and is surrounded by many other businesses; supermarkets, gas stations, fast food, and shopping. This hotel is also just 20 minutes outside of Chicago. They offer free breakfast with your stay, you get a cute welcome gift when you check in; including chocolate chip cookies. The breakfast changes slightly day to day, but it includes meal options for just about every palette. The rooms are pretty spacious and they are kept in a clean condition. Here are the negative points about this hotel. First, none of the rooms have a microwave. Everyone, is expected to share the microwave that is in the cafeteria area. Not only is it an inconvenience iff you have to warm up food, but not everyone will clean up after themselves. Far too often the microwave was filthy. Second, the customer service was not always friendly or professional. One hotel worker in particular was often extremely rude with customers over the phone and in person. Comments like; " I don't care if you're checking out early", or "I'm sorry but we will not be cleaning your room" should not be a part of anyone shop is supposed to be in the customer service/ hospitality industry. Lastly, the rolling blackouts. On several occasions during our stay the hotel lost power temporarily. This may have been attributed to the heavy thunderstorms we experienced in Illinois, but too often the lights would go out and then come back on a few minutes later. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here, but it could have been better. The beds are comfortable enough for a good nights sleep and the hotel is affordable compared to other hotels in the area. We give it a 3 out 5 stars .
