Love this bar and the people working here, especially the management . However after coming here multiple times and using Apple Pay (which they have the modules for) they now refuse on a Sat Night to accept the Apple Pay because the lady bartenders don't know how to use it and consider it a burden. Money& loyal customers are key to any business and that sadly doesn't seem important to them. I specifically come here after a long day and don't bring any C.C because of this easy Apple Pay and now I will sadly reconsider next time. Disappointed honestly read more

The pool table and the cues are perfect according to an avid player I know. Only one table which is nice because it's not bombarded by pros and their tournaments. 4. Tacos!?!? Friday nights only. Cute place, in the heart of Montrose. I see a lot of reviews referring to this place as a "dive bar" but I believe they've changed ownership and it appears that they may have made some changes. When we went the I got the trendy vibe. They have booths and barstools. We went with a booth which was cozy and intimate. Drinks were reasonably priced. They have a jukebox and pool tables to enhance the good times. They accept card. Tip They had a shot and beer special for $8, my hubby took advantage of that bad boy. read more

First time at Avignone's. My family and I were celebrating my sisters birthday which fell on thanksgiving.. We came to this establishment since she recently moved into the neighborhood. As soon as we walked into the door the bartender "Alyssa" red curly beautiful hair did not like our presence. She was continually rude to my family even though they tipped her well. My boyfriend and I went to get last call drinks, literally a cocktail and a apple pie shot, all of $15 tab mind you Alyssa was not being kind at all. We stepped away from the bar for all of one minute while I was going to my purse to get a couple of dollars to tip her. Without any warning or provocation she yelled at the top of her lungs something along the lines of "if you are out on thanksgiving night and you don't tip" but loud so loud that everyone at the bar stopped in their tracks. I have never felt so embarrassed for someone. She was trying to humiliate us for what? $2.25 which would have been 15% of her tip which I was getting. Getting that out of control for $2.25 was out of this world. But I get it times are hard right now. Either way nothing warrants her behavior. There was a regular who kept coming over to our group apologizing and reassuring us that this establishment is great and kept asking us how He could make it better, we thanked him but reiterated the fact that this woman did not like the color of our skin. We are Hispanic. Honestly I would come here again. But if I saw her I would leave. Just because she was so rude and disrespectful for frankly no reason. I hope she gets the help she needs cause frankly she does not like her job. But the bar was beautiful and we even dove in as the floor instructed lol! read more

It seems like this place has taken a lot of the negative feedback they've heard and made changes. I've been several times since and it's noticeable. The drink prices are definitely reasonable, with several specials. Prices are pretty explicit and no surprises. The staff knows what they are doing. There are options to please anyone. There are also a lot of events and reasons to come through. Whether it's for football specials, Taco Tuesday, karaoke, a DJ, etc. the place is busy and there's a reason to check it out. Lately, this place has been packed, yet I haven't had a problem getting a drink from any of the friendly staff there. Cheers to continuing to see this place get better. read more

Stopped in on a Tuesday karaoke night and instantly felt welcome. There's a warm fun cozy atmosphere that makes you want to hang out for hours. Dean, the bar wizard, is hilarious and mixed a wicked strong & tasty lemon drop martini. You don't often experience bartenders who are the perfect balance of professional and friendly. You feel like its beyond just getting served a drink. Ambience is great. Theres a nice pool table and You can watch sports or vintage movies . Nice eclectic mix of chill out. This place is just Ok. For trying to be a dive bar like it formally was it's so overpriced and underwhelming. The most basic drinks are measured with jiggers because either the staff cant count or the managers don't trust them. But seriously I can go somewhere else for less compared to your $9 well drink. Staff wise it was ok, nothing great, just some woman staring at her phone. They also, didn't like putting on the sound of a football game on but would rather put on the jukbox that no one paid for. Really enjoyed this place since they revamped it, its a small bar in the middle of Ocean View boulevard located in montrose. Plenty of parking cheap drinks and eateries and banks located all around it, although they accept cash now. I came here because I really liked a bartender named Kate and Davon as well did many of the friends whom I brought to this bar. Had an issue with one of the bartenders over my last name, which is Sandman because she was either having a bad night or didnt believe me, but anyways she was extremely rude i think her names melissa. After that i spoke with her boyfriend or the manager and he assured me everything was alright and just to let it go, which i did. I was in the back alley leaving when alex, the manager, approached me and said a few rude things, telling me I had to listen to him. Long story short apparently im 86ed, which is fine with me since i will be spending my hard earned money elsewhere its just ridiculous how the situation started and how it came to a conclusion. Theres just a weird dynamic going on between manager and bartender which should never happen and is extremely unprofessional. I gave it two stars because i somewhat enjoyed coming here before this incident. read more

This is a review for the Tuesday night Karaoke - 'cause that is when I go. The place itself is a quite nice "Dive Bar" with a wide variety of people. The drinks are great and at a fair price - there is no table service, but a walk up to the bar gets you served. The Karaoke jockey is EXCELLENT ! Turnover could be faster if she took your song name ahead of your turn, but the availability of songs and the sound system are both excellent. And Hallelujah - the music volume is not so bleeping loud that you can't actually hear the music AND the singer. The sound level is just right - easy to hear yourself for pitch control. The people who come on Karaoke Tuesday nights expect and enjoy the singers - great or not-so-great - we are there to have fun - and we do. read more

Went here for a Birthday Party. Absolutely amazing. High end TVs. Updated furniture. It was all nice and new. Drinks were very good too. Didn't skimp on anything. It's a place I could see myself going back to over and over again. There is no food there. You can bring food there. They are cool like that. Great place to hang out with friends. Tables aren't sticky!!!! Got a pool table and a bunch of booths to sit down. Best sport is near the fireplace. The best drink I had there was the Moscow Mule.
