Car stalled on me, called around and got some pretty pricey answers. Aviles and Gabes helped me previously and I decided to go ahead and give them a call. Should have called them in the first place, duh, since I have had a previous great experience with them. Stephanie was able to get a truck out to me faster than any of the pricier options were able to. Shout out to her and Fabian, my driver, who came out super fast! I broke down in a pretty shady area and didn't want to leave my car out there overnight. There was a pretty bad accident and Fabian was called away but promised to get my car to me tonight. Stephanie called back apologetic and even knocked off 10 bucks. Talk about great service! Fabian was very polite and very sympathetic, I really appreciate him. Give them a chance, they may go by the book, but it really is for your safety. If you talk to them like they are humans, they will talk to you with the same respect. I have been to their office, and it is a pretty hectic place, but they will still make the time to help you out. Their phones are constantly ringing, so a little patience goes a long way. read more

A tow truck driver for Aviles & Gabes on 4868 East Yager Ln in Manor, TX was very deceptive; he told me my insurance would cover the tow and storage fee. That turned out to be a BIG FAT lie. I had to pay $350 tow fee, $50 notification fee, and $20/day storage fee.... my total bill was over $580. Oh and be sure to take cash because they will charge you an extra 4% if you use a credit card; and, they don't accept checks. Be sure you call an hour in advance to pick up car or if you are having it towed by a salvage yard to their facility, because Aviles & Gabes will not let you in. Remarkable that Manor Police department using this company for tows. Says alot about Manor PD. Company charges for tows while never towing your vehicle. All the negative reviews are spot on. The woman who answers the phone is incredibly rude and seems to carry an air of arrogance that's completely unearned. Then there's Gabe--who I believe is one of the owners--who might be the second rudest person I've ever encountered. (After his woman partner) Every question is met with a sarcastic, condescending response, as if basic communication is beneath him. It's as if both of them have some deep resentment toward the world and take it out on anyone who calls. Their behavior is unprofessional, abrasive, and honestly bizarre. I would strongly recommend steering clear of them if you can. From what I understand, they do a lot of work with government and city contracts--perhaps that's why they feel they don't have to treat people with respect or basic courtesy. Called the number to find out the facts to get my sons car out and on 11/1/25 at around 300pm. the woman on the phone was rude. I asked the process, she said "you call and make appointment". So I call back to make an appointment for the next day, she says, no you need to call the same day to make appointment. When I called the company today to find out where my car was, the woman who answered was extremely rude, told me to "calm down" (even though I was already calm), and then hung up on me. When I called back, she repeatedly hung up instead of helping me locate my vehicle. I still don't know where my car is, and no one at this company seems to care enough to assist me. Horrible service. Never called me to tell me that they could not come and this was 2 hours after I booked the service. I called to check to see where the service people were and she was laughing on the phone stating that their men just didn't have the tools to change a tire. Unfortunately I was hit by a dump truck. This company was unfortunately on the site of the accident. They towed my car away. The next day, I went to get my handicap placard from my car, but was told I had to make an appointment for the next day! You can only make an appointment the day of your arrival, between the hours of 9am to 3pm, I work from 11am to 3pm and have no car. Needless to say, I was perturbed. I honestly plan on suing this place. My car was stolen on December 22, 2024 and it was impounded here on the same date. I filed the police report and was never notified that my car had been found until January 13, 2024. I called 311 to see if my car had been impounded anywhere on December 26th which means that they had my car for 4 days at this point and I was told that it was not in the system anywhere in TX. Which means they intentionally don't put things like this into the database so that they can collect more fees. Just like other reviews have stated the lady that answers the phone is completely rude and needs to be fired or trained. They have super strict rules for people trying to get their OWN VEHICLES. Mike the driver was great and explained his thoughtful approach and how he was going to hook my vehicle up (which was at a weird angle in my driveway increasing the difficulty of getting it on the back of the truck). I really appreciated his communication and walking me through the process. Having one's car towed is always a little nerve racking so I appreciated him not trying to hurry through the process and treating me and my car with respect. read more

My insurance company scheduled a tow to pick up my car and bring it to the repair shop. I was given a timeframe of 90-120 minutes. My car was involved in an accident Travis County had it towed to Eagle Towing (0.1 miles away from Aviles) I called 2.5 hours later to get an ETA so I could schedule a time to get to the repair shop to sign paperwork around my work schedule. I called in and I was on hold for 10 minutes. The woman I spoke with said I was not a priority and they had other things to do and it would take much longer than the timeframe I was given. I am completely appalled that I was spoken to like this. I should have cancelled the service on the spot. Since my insurance was the one to set it up I have reported them to my insurance company as they should not associated with them. I guess she had one thing right it did take 5 hours longer then the first estimated time I was quoted. read more
