    THE ULTIMATE worst car rental Experience ever. So first off I'm a AAA member, but my sis reserved the car. After calling AAA she mentioned the rep at the car rental place could add the discount since I told her we had reserved already. (Well she said she couldn't at this car rental place) that's that. We Moved on - it is what it is. We go outside to the car to do the walk through to check for dents and dings and that goes well. My sister and myself met there in our own car so neither of us were taking the car at the time; however, we decided to check the inside before leaving. Key Fob doesn't unlock the door without putting the key in the door to unlock it. I go inside and the lady says she doesn't have another key OR another car for us to take in place of that car. Smh. We are leaving at 5a the next morning and I had things to do that evening on top of packing to travel home for my grandmothers funeral so no time to cancel this reservation and try to book another. That's that - we move on. We come to pick up the car later that night so we'll be ready to hit the highway the next morning & lights are on on the dash. Next morning (Friday), we hop in the car "maintenance required light is on and the low tire pressure light. We stop at QT add air for idk how many round of air cycles and the light is still on. Reminder, it's 5a NO tire stores are open and we are paying for a rental expecting ZERO car maintenance as we travel. So now we are trying to map out where will we stop on our 9 hour trip to so far maintenance. Not only that what maintenance is required on this car? These lights stayed on the ENTIRE trip. Imagine driving 9 with that in the back of your mind. Going and coming those lights were on. Also, this car beeped EVERY time you crossed a lane. Yes I'm aware this is a need car feature but where is the OFF button! 3 beeps EVERY time we changed lanes. Super annoying. Lasted the ENTIRE trip. Lastly, the hours. The lady checking us out knew we would be returning the car on Sunday. No mention of them closing at 12p on Sunday and nor did she notify us that if we didn't make it back before closing we'd be charge for an extra day. So on the way home on Sunday we go online to check and notice they close at 12. We left north Mississippi at 9a. No way to make it before 12. So just bc this location hours are 12noon we are charged a full day without the options to take it else where. What's the point of the night drop box with the info slip to show what time you dropped it off? Oh, maybe bc if we would have dropped it after Midnight that would have been an extra charge on top of the "closing early on Sunday" Extra day charge. $300 to take a car from Friday to drop off on Sunday. Ridiculous! Never will I ever go back to that location and any other for that matter. From the key fob to the dashboard lights and the Sunday hours that's plenty of reason to not take my money there and I could have rented this exact care for less than $200. Save yourself some & take your money somewhere it's valued and you're not given the bottom of the barrel service.

    Enterprise Left My Family Stranded - No Help, No Notes, No Accountability…read more I don't write reviews often, but what my family and I experienced with Enterprise Rent-A-Car deserves to be called out -- loudly. While traveling through a remote area of Mississippi, our rental car got a flat tire. We had two dogs, heavy luggage, and no access to rideshare services like Uber in that location. We called Enterprise Roadside Assistance multiple times, only to be forced to repeat the entire story over and over again because no notes were taken or shared between agents. Each rep -- clearly reading from a generic script, possibly from another country -- showed no urgency, no ability to act, and absolutely no awareness of the seriousness of our situation. We were passed around and placated, but not once were we helped. At one point, an Enterprise representative had the audacity to tell us to call the police for a ride. This response was not only dismissive but unacceptable -- Enterprise should have been responsible for helping us, not pushing us onto local authorities. Eventually, a tow truck arrived -- and took the car, leaving us behind stranded at the gas station in a remote area of Mississippi with all our belongings, pets, and no way to get to safety. Let me say that again: Enterprise took the car and left us abandoned at a remote gas station off the highway in Mississippi. Enterprise offered no ride, no replacement vehicle, and no support. It was only thanks to the kindness of the tow truck driver, a third-party contractor, that we were rescued -- he returned later, after his job was done, to take our family to a hotel in the dark. We were stranded over 5 hours before he returned. Which is not his fault, it simply speaks to the lack of help Enterprise provided. And it didn't stop there. When we finally got a replacement vehicle and returned it days later, the branch manager offered zero sympathy. No apology. No accountability. Instead, she just voided the rental transaction entirely, as if pretending it didn't happen could erase what we went through. Not even a "Sorry this happened to your family." This was not just a customer service failure -- it was a complete systemic breakdown in responsibility, safety, and basic human empathy. Enterprise abandoned a family with pets in a dangerous situation and couldn't even be bothered to say "we're sorry" afterward. Enterprise: you failed us on every level. You endangered our family, dismissed our concerns, and erased our experience like it never happened. If you're considering renting from Enterprise, don't. When things go wrong, they are nowhere to be found -- and worse, they won't remember you even called. You're on your own.

The automative puts you on hold then says no one is available and you can't leave a voicemail!! The clerk is not doing there job cancel my reservation going to another enterprise.

It was the largest vehicle they had at the time. After trying to wait for an hour for a bigger vehicle to become available, I asked if any would be available early Friday morning. Ms. Marilyn asked me to come back at 5:00 AM, luckily I get up at 4am most days so I was used to the ungodly hour. The next morning I arrived and was put into a beautiful Ford Expedition. Thanks to my patience and Ms. Marilyn we had an amazing trip and I'll be signing up to be a Hertz Gold Member so I can be ready for my next adventure. (The lack of the fifth star is because I did have to wake up and drive to the airport a 2nd time )

The one star isn't for the service, the car, or the online reservation, but for their terrible eCommerce department. I had a car I rented to get my car repaired. Then a ice storm hit Dallas and caused me to rent another week. Well they wouldn't let me use the discount and they stuck it to me. The second week was twice as much as the first. Then when it came time to return the car, they never released the holds on my accounts. They had the nerve to blame my bank account as if my bank is the one who put the charges there. SMH. To make it worse they did multiple charges on my account. I almost overdraft like four times. It's been weeks since I returned the car and it's still on there. And after calling and asking for a manager, they blocked my number. I should have just went to enterprise. First time ever going to Hertz, and after this terrible experience, I'll never use them again.

And his staff were very friendly and supportive and cute. I don't rent often and needed a midsize to accommodate my height and the Malibu did nicely. Since I haven't rented, it took me a while to figure out the new gadgets, and I really enjoyed the back up mirror and being able to connect with CarPlay.. The car was in good shape except for a minor problem with the gas cover not shutting properly, but sure it gets a lot of use. The car was clean and performed well so all in all I'd say it was a very positive. I guess I could complain about the price and the seemingly large deposit but at least I got the deposit back. 5 day rental was $380 plus insurance and extras. I filled the tank before I returned it and saved a few dollars I'm sure but I wanted to say thank you in that way for allowing me to use the Malibu. Thank you Brian for the lift to my car. I informed the front desk staff that I was being harassed by my ex-boyfriend, and despite clearly being in danger, no one took initiative to intervene, assist, or even call for help. Whether they felt it "wasn't their place" or not, I was a single Black woman surrounded by multiple male employees, and not one person stood up for me when I was physically assaulted right in front of them. After being attacked, stripped of my glasses, and having my belongings taken, destroyed, and thrown into a field behind the building, I was left with no vehicle or support. Instead of showing any level of compassion, concern, or basic human decency, I was told that I was "bad for business," flagged from renting at their location, and possibly other locations as well. Meanwhile, his employee stood by recording and laughing while I was on my hands and knees, crying and unable to see. This is not only unacceptable, it is negligent, discriminatory, and emotionally damaging. No customer, especially a woman in distress, should ever be treated this way. Because of the severity of this incident, I do intend to pursue legal action.
