After Avis corporate agreed and admitted that this happened, I called the Yorkville office to let them know what happened and they accused me of lying and then cursed me out before hanging up. Nice. Anyways, Enterprise gave me a nicer rental at half the price and Avis gave me a full refund so, you know, hope it was worth it!

A security guard at the garage facilitated the efficient drop off. Keep in mind if you're driving less that 75 miles, these city Budgets may have an automatic fill up charge if you can't produce a receipt for your own refill like I showed the guard. That charge can be possibly significantly more than you paid to refill the tank to the level you got it in. Definitely, I'd rent from Budget again.

They told me I had to wait outside for my car. I waited an additional 15 minutes for the car to come up from the garage. I was renting the car to see my granddaughter for her birthday. I explained to them traffic was building minute by minute they didn't care. Today I return the car and I pulled the car up to the sign that says stop here. I was then told by another rude employee to get back in the car to move it out of the way cause he had to pull a car over there. I would never ever go to this budget again they are disrespectful, rude and unprofessional

An HOUR AND HALF LATER, I was still there... with no truck, and no progress toward a truck so I told him to cancel the order and I walked around the corner to U-Haul. they opened at 9:00 and by 9:15, I was in a truck driving away. The guy at Budget tried, but if their computers go down, just tell people that you have to cancel their reservation instead of stringing them along for 90 minutes.

Obviously we needed a rental for our moving needs so we decided Budget Truck Rental. It was close and inexpensive. Why Not?. Me and my friend got to the counter and after providing our confirmation number the lady at the front desk asked us about insurance. This is standard in most places but no big issues there. On our way back after finishing up with the rental and returning the truck in with a few miles because we used it, we wanted to inquire about a refund due to the fact we had ordered two dollies and they were not in the truck at the time of the rental. The employee/male who took the truck could not provide us any clarification aside from "call customer service" and to get the F! out. We did not received a receipt because the employees there were to busy trying to leave and were rushing us out. We retuned the truck around 3pm on a Saturday, afternoon. It was a 24hr rental and we got told to get the F out. ( Unnecessary ). No employer should talk to a customer in said manner and if I was part the Executive Team of Budget taking a look at this incident I would be appalled for this locations service. The employee didn't have the patience to at least explain the next steps as to how to ensure we receive a refund and a receipt. We aren't even sure if they will be charging us appropriately and now we have to wait until Monday morning to call customer service back and make sure they 1) reimburse us for the dollies we did not use and 2) overcharge us. As of the time of this post their hours of operation on their brick and mortar site say 7am - 4pm this was mentioned to us. Again Do Not Go Here!

I really didn't want to write this review. I like the people who work behind the counter. The cars…read morehave always been solid and reliable (though not always clean). The people who work there have always been good-humored and friendly to me, but when one of them told me, "Please complain to customer service, we're overworked and understaffed and our equipment doesn't work,," I felt like I had to write this. Where to begin? The printer that doesn't work. The receipts that don't show up until two or three weeks later because the computers were down. The lines of people waiting when there's no one staffing the booth and there's a "Back in 15" sign taped in the window. But what's worse are the phantom charges--three of which I've had to dispute during my last three rentals, all of which have required numerous mind-numbing calls with customer service where each conversation is the first conversation and I have to tell the whole story again. Late charges for cars that were delivered on time but were checked in late because the place was understaffed and the computers weren't working. All the time wasted waiting on hold. Hundreds of dollars worth of extra charges that weren't on the pre-paid estimate. Most recently, a charge for a full tank of gas when the car was rented out when it was empty and it said so on the receipt. As I write this, I am still waiting to be reimbursed for that charge despite having sent photos and despite having been reassured that reimbursement was forthcoming. Again, I'm sorry to be writing this. The rental facility is so conveniently located. But I'm tired of checking every receipt and finding expensive errors, tired of having to take photos of receipts and agreements so I'll have evidence when I inevitably have to dispute a charge, tired of feeling like a sucker whenever I rent here. I keep wondering if someone is running a scam out of this place, but I can't imagine who would benefit and I'm tired of wondering about that too.I have to rent a car in the next couple of weeks, and I will be taking my business elsewhere. Update: This was finally resolved and the refund was given. But it took too long and was far too aggravating. Which is why I'm updating this review from the lobby of Hertz.
