I called and confirmed my pickup time the night before and the morning of because I had an important appointment that morning that I had scheduled 6 months prior. Pickup time was 9:00. I arrived at 8:45 to ensure I had completed my Collision Center paperwork and was ready BEFORE 9:00. At 9:20, I finally called Enterprise when they hadn't arrived. They told me they don't automatically pick people up because people are often late and they don't want to wait for them. You have to text them when you arrive. Well, you could have told me that the previous 2 confirmation phone calls! Then, I was told that they couldn't pick me up immediately that morning because they had to drop another customer off. When I finally was picked up at 9:30, it was by the car cleaning person, not the customer service staff. The person who picked me up said they are having lots of issues due to staffing shortages. Not my problem. If you can't meet commitments, you shouldn't make them. I had specifically requested a non-smoking vehicle and told them I needed that due to a health issue. No problem, EXCEPT, the car they gave me reeked of smoke and there wasn't anything else available. Their response was that even though they post non-smoking, all the cars get smoked in. Well, you do have tools to mitigate cigarette smoke beyond hitting it with an obnoxious air freshener. Deep cleaning and ozone machines are easily available. The car was not clean, but since I was running very late for my appointment, I took it and left quickly. More short staffing issues?? When I returned the car a couple of weeks later, I spoke with the woman in charge that day. She agreed to reimburse me for the out-of-pocket portion, which was not much. Well, I have been watching for that reimbursement for 4 months--nothing! I finally called today to inquire about my reimbursement and was told that she no longer works for the company. Now, I'm waiting again to see if the manager will return my call and make good on his employee's commitments or not. SO MANY EXCUSES and terrible processes. Enterprise, you have lost my trust and my business!

I got a decent deal (slightly less than $50 a day) and at the counter there was no line (there was a huge line for Budget). After an easy check-in, I went to get a car from the rental lot. I signed up for a compact SUV and there were 5 available. I got the Ford Escape and it was clean inside, no scratches, full tank of gas, and no weird smells. I drove it around for a couple days and returned it easily within 5 minutes at the end of my stay. I got my full deposit back. Overall, I'm satisfied with the cost, convenience, and ease of renting from Alamo.

The car was good, we completed our trip and returned the car in very good condition. (we don't smoke, drink, or throw trash in the car), not even candy wrapper. They inspected it and it was all good. However, you still get hit with a lot of fees including an airport tax! Waited 40+ mins in line because there were only 2 people checking in and one of the people didn't have his insurance information including policy number and expiration date (yes, they ask... seriously?) Car wasn't washed or vacuumed and had stains on the seats despite it being a newer car with only 20k miles. The woman helping us washed it quickly but the vacuum was not available. 20+ mins more and we were finally able to go. Car had dings and dents all over the place and some bad ones too - I made sure to take pictures in case there were issues later. Upon return, delay again because no one was at the counter. Finally someone came out. Said shuttle was down so they were bringing people in a minivan back and forth and limited to 4 people. Lenny, our driver back to the airport started by saying "Hi, I accept tips"... yep. Got it. He didn't even handle our carry-on, we did. Got to the airport after him telling us a lot of wild stories, and we left to go inside and he said "What, no tip? See.. I knew it!" Great southern charm, Lenny. Car is roughly $35/day plus all kinds of fees -- so be careful. I'd stick with the on site places. This was no bargain.
