So, on Friday, 8/27/21 with about an hour before closing, I call their reservations dept at 844 382 6875 and rent a car for the weekend, Friday thru Monday. Before I hung up the phone I had the "confirmation" in my email, so I thought everything was great. Fast forward 15 minutes...I'm already in my Lyft on my way up to the Plano location when the manager calls me to tell me they do not have anything available, I'm like WTF!!! I'm loking at my email on my iPhone and I have a confirmation, whaddaya mean you don't have a car? He gives me some BS that the system has some lag and that their availability is not really "live time" or some shit like that. I tell him I'm already $12.00 into my Lyft ride on my way up there and all he can do is apologize and says "I can continue to come up there but he cannot garauntee he'll have any cars available when I get up there. So, I told the Lyft driver to turn around, I was certian I'd get this resolved thru corporate. The below images of correspondence are in chronological order. Notice the dozen or so customer service reps all promising the same BS. First, the insincere BS apology, then their BS commitment to get this resolved. To date (9-20-21) I have yet to speak with the F'n manager, or anyone for that matter from that location. Extremely Disappointed -- Still No Resolution from Hertz…read more It's now been months since September, and I still haven't received any resolution to my claim with Hertz. I've left multiple messages with both Hertz and the Better Business Bureau, only to be promised follow-up that never happens. I'm currently out over $6,500, and as someone who drives for a living, this delay has made my life significantly harder -- especially while I'm between jobs. The lack of accountability and communication from Hertz is beyond unacceptable. I trusted Hertz with my business and my livelihood, but this experience has shown a total disregard for customers facing real hardship. I'm urging others to think twice before renting -- once they have your money, it seems you're completely on your own.

I would like to say thank you to Jeff at the Hertz located at Huffines Chevrolet in Lewisville Tx…read more I was not sure I wanted to rent with this location because I was informed that it was a satellite location associated with an airport and the rental fees were higher. My initial rental was considered one way, even though I would return in a few months, I was not going to need it once I arrived at my destination. Because of this, the rental cost was going to be higher already. I called several other Hertz locations but none would even consider doing a one way trip. When I called back and spoke with Jeff, he was more than willing to help me out. I scheduled a reservation but at the last moment my plans changed. I no longer needed a one way but my travel dates had been pushed further out. Jeff was yet again able to accommodate my needs. He rescheduled my reservation with no problem. The day I picked up my rental was easy and hassle free. I was given a 2025 Nissan Altima and the whole process may have taken about 15 minutes. When asked about insurance, I was reluctant but. I went with the full coverage option. Normally I would only get the roadside assistance but because my own car was not operable, I dropped my policy. During my trip back to Texas I was on interstate at night and had an 18 wheeler driving in front of me blow a tire. I pulled over but the driver of the truck kept going. I was unable to see the damage thuroughly and knew I was close to the Texas border. There would be a Welcome Center hopefully with decent lighting. I decided to drive there. With caution lights on the whole way I made it. when I got out I saw the extent of the damage. the front bumper on the drivers side was broken and a piece was dragging the ground. there used to be a vented plastic piece on the bumper that was completely gone. part of the bumper would scrape the tire when making right turns. I immediately called the 800 number. The representative that I spoke with made the whole experience of filing a claim simple. Her concern for mine and my son's wellbeing was welcoming during such a stressful time. After tying up the bumper piece I managed to drive the rest of the way back with no other problems. The next day when I returned the car to Hertz Jeff was there with a welcoming smile even though the power at the facility was out. He assisted me in finishing the claim on his phone and was able to answer all my questions and concerns. He even waited with me until my Uber arrived. If I ever need a rental in the future and I am in Texas, I don't care if I have to travel 100 miles, I will always choose this location. Thank you Jeff and thank you to the claims representative I spoke with.
