My review is for budget but we picked up and dropped off at the Avis counter. My review also applies here. No one was working the budget counter and there was a sign redirecting us to Avis. There is also no place on yelp to review this airport location for budget. When we booked our vehicle for this location online, there are options to select compact, mid size, standard size suv. We selected a standard suv. We received a compact suv. "Compact suv" to anyone's standards, Google, including the vehicle manufacturer, but apparently not Budget's. When approached about the size difference in the vehicle to what we paid for, budget doubled down that the vehicle we received was "standard." We paid for a standard because we needed to fit 3 car seats in the back row. We did not receive a vehicle even "similar" to what is listed when we reserved. If this is normal practice, budget should change their listings for suv reservations. Staff at the desk(Avis) were not friendly. They were just there, barely spoke and really had nothing to say to try to fix anything. The vehicle was also not cleaned like many others have reviewed before me. I'll never rent from Avis or budget again I rented a car from Avis and the car had a flat tire the next day they left me stranded in the middle of nowhere not only that but I had no transportation and had to find a way to Bentonville, Arkansas an hour away to get another car when I got to Bentonville. They told me they didn't have any cars now. This is my second time booking through my company with Avis and both times service has been extremely poor. As an Avis preferred plus member I am highly disappointed in Avis at this airport. Wait times to get a car have been super long even with a reservation. I will probably try to book with National next time as even with giving them a second chance still not happy with the level of service received. read more

I rent cars here almost every week. i was charged for bringing back 1/2 tank when the tank was obviously over the full line. I was charged $80 to refuel the car. Very deceitful. They must pay bonuses to the people who do the car returns if they can scam the unsuspecting business travelers. read more

For such a small station, this Avis does a lot of business. I remarked to the guy at the counter that he had an awful lot of keys there. He said that it was 450. And that he nearly always runs out of cars here on Tuesdays. So keep that in mind. I had my car for the week, reserving a midsize and getting... a midsize. My Elantra was a fine enough car. Clean and mechanically sound with only 12000 miles on it. The Avis counter is right next to the baggage carousels and it is a a short walk from the counter to the lot where the cars are located. Returning the car was easy enough with plenty of signage at the airport as to where to go for rental cars. Note that there aren't many gas stations in the area. You'll want to fill up in Springdale or Rogers before heading towards the airport. Or buy the prepaid fuel. read more

The first staff member I spoke with was pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. I grabbed my car drove just outside of the parking garage and noticed a flat tire. I returned the car and spoke with another staff member who was much less helpful and appeared to be very grumpy. The worst customer service experience on the return of the vehicle on December 13 I was asked to memorize a five-digit mileage figure and proceed to a rental counter. Upon getting to a counter I was put in the line of 3 people with only one customer service rep issuing new vehicles and one person behind the counter simply "spacing" around. I asked the rep if I can just receive the receipt by e-mail since I was running late close to departure, on what she started yelling at me to get in the line and responding in a very rude form that if I want a receipt I have to wait. Since I was about to miss my flight I had to live without paperwork. There is no avis preferred get your car and bypass counter at this location. Everyone has to fall in line at the counter. Even returning car I have to leave my car in the parking area then walk back to airport and fall in line. This is a terribly understaffed site. Avis is great at other airports but if you flying into XNA, avoid this company. The rental car I got was not even cleaned I think someone just returned it and it was given to me without being checked. They don't care about logging the correct milage of the car. The good is that the car rental counter is right by the baggage claim carosel. To get your car, you only need to walk. It's a large parking lot on your right when you walk out of the airport. read more

I rent cars from Avis every week on business trips (my company only has one car rental company to do business with). During my last rental return, I left my sunglasses in the car, I had already boarded my flight when I realized it. I immediately reported in "lost and found" and made several follow ups (in person at the counter during this week's rental and calling the local number). Each time I got a response that they could not find it and there's nothing they can do about it. I even met the manager (Keith) at XNA airport today morning in person, he repeated the same thing. In addition to this one incident, generally I get very poor quality of cars, hardly ever do I get an upgrade. A lot of times there is a wait for cars on Mondays. They never keep the reservation ready and takes a while to do paper work. I will never recommend Avis to anyone and I am hoping my company partners with other car rental company soon so that I no longer have to rent from Avis. read more

Said they might have to send the car to the airport and it would cost me $250. Asked to speak to manager - was told she was the manager.
