Don't ever go to any Dollar rental car. They tell you to reserve your car and skip the counter and walk right to your car = ALL LIES!! They don't have cars for hours and say come back tomorrow AFTER they take your credit card payment. Finally if you get a car,one you don't even want, it's broken and all the maintenance lights are on. PLUS they add$600 onto the original price. Where is the Better Business Bureau? read more

Yikes. This was not a rental car experience we'd like to repeat. On arrival, we were told to just go get our car. There was no one stationed at the garage to whom we could report existing damage to the car (there was some bumper damage we wanted to make sure was recorded). We've rented a fair number of cars in our day and this experience struck us as totally out of the ordinary. It took us three phone calls and a total of over 1 hour wait time to actually talk to someone and get it recorded. When we arrived back at the airport, there were literally no spots available to park in that were allocated for Dollar cars. And once again, no one on duty. Thankfully, someone finally showed up and gave the most casual once-over of our car. We did get a great deal for the rental, but this Dollar location can certainly do better in a number of areas. read more

The daily rate shown on the receipt and billed was dramatically higher than the initial confirmation email, with the billed amount 237% higher than quoted. There was no difference in car class, dates, etc. No response from customer service. read more

These guys and gals are superb!!! They are very helpful and are willing to go the extra mile. They smell nice and look like Jesus would give them a chance. If I weren't trying to go somewhere I would prob stay there and just hang with em. Yea that nice. Other than that if you were hungry, this isn't the place for you. They don't sell food here. Only rent cars. So don't look around the corner asking for the "hook up" cause no one can hollar if they hear you. Wear camo, you might get a surprise. Or maybe just not get shot! I wanted to inform you of the poor experience my family and I had at your location at the Bentonville, Arkansas airport. We booked the reservation over 1month in advance. When we got to the Dollar counter after our flight got in at 11pm the lights were off. We were informed that the Dollar employees had gone home because they ran out of cars.  So we ended up having to rent a car from another company and not being able to leave the airport with a car seat for our toddler as none were available and had to leave the airport without her in a car seat. Which is: dangerous, inconvenient, and illegal. There was also another family with 2 young children who also were not able to get their rental car or the car seats that the had also reserved. It was unprofessional  and unexcusable.  There clearly is a need for improvement to make sure reserved cars are available and if the aren't notify us. Also there should be a clear process to have carseats available after 8pm. Especially if you have advance reservations that clearly state that they reserved car seats.  Please fix this so a child does not die. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service from the staff at the XNA airport Dollar Car Rental and customer service with Priceline was useless as well. The two people at the Xna dollar location were ignorant, unhelpful and uncaring. The were like robots quoting policy instead of trying to remedy the situation. I booked a car for my wife a week in advance , to pick up as she was flying in to Fayetteville, Ar alone and had a 4 hour drive to her job interview. Around 5 pm , while she was in flight, a phone call came to me stating they had no more cars and they were over booked as were others. My wife was carrying cash and travelers check as all the transportation and lodging were paid for before the trip. So here she is stranded at a tiny airport 30 min from any town totally alone with no car, no friends or family and absolutely no concern for her safety by price line nor Dollar rent a car or their staff. I had to leave work early and tried for 3 hours to try and resolve this to no avail. The best I got was they would refund my money with no penalty! What a joke! They also told me it would take 5 to 7 business for my refund. By this time all the car rental companies were closed. I and in disbelief that neither company offerd any type of assistance o ther than a refund. My wife's stress level is through the roof trying to find out how to get to a safe place for the night and how to arrange transportation. All this right before a job interview that could be moving us to a different state! I am beyond frustrated. Poor customer service, poor business ethics, poor polices, poor local management! I am also a VIP member of Priceline. Guess what they don't care! I would avoid these companies at all cost!!!! The $10 or $20.00 savings is not worth the dangerous situation they put my family in. Terrible customer service. Charged for extra insurance I verbally stated I did not want. Did not go over the policy with me. Charged $25 late fee for being 20 minutes later than the time stated on policy. I called 3 x asking for a call back, never called back, never apologized, and certainly did not reverse the charges. Runaway seriously runaway. This company has multimillion-dollar marketing campaign to try to convince people to rent cars with debit cards. Attending my mother's wake recently I found her send that this is nothing more did a money grab scam designed to steal from people who cannot afford legal counsel to defend themselves. If you order a car make reservations and even pay for it online you'll receive a set of instructions that is different from the company's policy stated on its website. Of course the strict criteria documentation you must have is higher and more clearly defined after purchase than before. But that does not matter because the standard in which you will be held upon trying to pick up the car is even higher still and not shared with you prior to arrival at the rental desk. What they ask of me what did you wait 24 hours if I were using a debit card to rent a car even though I had clearly made reservations for the same day. This is done through a complex scheme four websites that customers are siphoned through unbeknownst to themselves that they are doing business with a different business with unique and different policies and somehow that is to void any advertising or promises made on both dollar and hurts websites even though the websites you are annoyingly shifted to are labeled identically to theirs. Thanks to Dollar Rental car in addition to the wake of my mother I could add $120 theft of my money directly I need to purchase an additional rental car from Enterprise my expenses. I have called for over a month now trying to get my money giving back. Several times they have told me they would do so because they have no legal grounds on which to stand. They never have they routinely lie to my face unafraid of any prosecution or upholding of the rules by our federal government as I have filed with the trade commission and EEOC I have not heard back from either and won't for 6 months. Dollar knows this exploite itas a matter of fact has become a profit center for them you don't have to look very hard online to find story after story after story of this happening usually two African-American male clients however not exclusively it's mostly an attack I'm being poor because you have lack of access to legal representation. The program debit card rental is absolute fraud it would not be possible for anyone to attain what they would ask for because you do not know and whatever document you provide regardless of it being listed on their website is not accepted at the counter it is multi-stage multifaceted multi-leveled scam being conducted at the expense of the customer in right under the nose of the ineptitude of the regulating body. The last time I rented a car from Hertz the parent company of dollar and complete business partner it cost me and it's $900 after 3 days in a Malibu. No real explanation or refund was ever a clear. That's a good experience with Hertz this experience with dollar was less so but the fraud and damage was minimized I could not imagine what these Jokers might do if they got ahold if someone's credit card and you actually rent the car. Stay away from this place, theres about 6 other companies to rent from at the airport and these guys are by far the worst. My mother had placed a reservation for my brother and I since our plane got in so much later and the check out was fairly easy. But I started getting charged all these hidden fees and right before I payed the woman told me it would be 380ish dollars for the 4 days we would have it. When I checked my bank account later that night, after I had already driven an hour and a half away to our cabin they took a total of 1,029 dollars from me for the car. When I called the customer service numbers I got transfered over to someone who could barely speak english and he told me that he cant help me at all with my existing reservation and that I would have to drive all the way back to the airport to speak with someone. These guys are sneaky with their prices so beware and look somewhere else. read more
