Great service at this small location! I was a bit discouraged when I saw the outside looks of this place- it looked a bit downtrodden- but the service, the good information and kindness of the guy who took care of my issue were excellent- plus they had my replacement care waiting for me! So once my turn came around (there was once customer ahead), he took care of me, checked the old car in: it needed oil And a tire was going down- and gave me a new car to continue our excursion. In all it must've been 30 minutes which is fantastic considering other times when I've had to wait forever... and there was a customer already waiting after me, so the location keeps very busy. I was very disappointed with my experience. All of the vehicles were extremely dirty, both inside and out. I waited over 15 minutes, and when the vehicle was finally brought around, it appeared they had only done a very quick two-minute vacuum. The car was still visibly dirty, had exterior blemishes, and did not even have a full tank of gas. This level of cleanliness and preparation is not what I expect from a rental company. I would not recommend based on this experience. read more

I always come here when I need a vehicle. Unfortunately under new management the vehicles haven't been clean on the last few rentals. Not sure what the issue is. One worker seen leaves on the driver floor and seemed surprised it hasn't been cleaned. read more

Definitely don't rent here. It's pretty bad when you try and rent a car from here and they don't have any rental cars you can rent even though you prepaid in advanced and had a reservation. The young guys that work here are totally clueless and don't know anything about customer service!!! Definitely stay away from this place!!! Horrible!!! read more

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!! The car that I reserved online was a SUV that I asked for and worked well for a family trip. The reason I am giving a 1 star rating is because I had the reservation time pick up for 7:30am and arrived a little earlier so we can leave from the rental place as soon as possible. The employee did not arrive until 8am to give me my car. When we checked out the car before he gave me my keys the car was dirty and had mud all over the back passenger seat and in the back seat floor. Also there were crumbs of food all over the back seats and in the front seats as well. He started the car and then told me that the tire is low and offered me a 4 door Ram Pickup truck which I declined because I did not want my luggage for the trip to be in the bed of a pickup truck. I told the employee to air up the tire because there was not another option to switch out my car beside the pick up truck which was annoying and I needed the SUV rental. He airs up the tire and I leave with the car around 8:15 (which was 45 minutes past my supposed pick up time) to which I then realize that the oil appears to not have been changed and is about 12,000 miles over the recommended mileage to change the oil. Thankfully nothing happened but again it is the only SUV car that I requested that was at the lot when I picked it up and I did not want to waste anymore time trying to figure out a new rental. Also the washer fluid was low and only lasted about a day. I also had to continue to air up the tire to make sure I didn't have problems when I travelled with the car because it was leaking air slowly. When I rent a car I want it to feel reliable, and the car I got was not reliable and I had worried about it for most of the trip. This was the worst experience I have ever had for a car rental and save your money because I will most likely not be coming here again. read more

Avis is the worst rental car agency I have ever dealt with. I flew into AVP airport and my flight was delayed due to mechanical difficulty. The counter was closed. I came in the next day to pick up my PRE-PAID rental. I returned the vehicle on time and thought I would be refunded a day's rental, instead, I was charged DOUBLE the original Pre-paid amount! I complained and was told the original contract was void since I did not pick up the vehicle on the scheduled date. RIDICULOUS!!! Terrible customer service and the car I was given smelled Like an ashtray and was filthy! NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE AVIS!!!! read more

I must say I've had the BEST rental car experiences ever at this location. In the last few months I've been to this location a couple of times and the service had always been A1. It's a tiny place so you may miss it if you blink, but it beats the hustle and bustle of renting from an airport location. Having said that they don't have the extended hours like airports do or certain drop off/pick up amenities but that wasn't a deal breaker. This location is by far the worse business I've ever rented a car from. The building was dirty, the employees were dry and unhelpful. In short, l was told l had to check the car by myself. I opened the door to walk outside and fell due to a faulty step, I broke my foot. They said they had a sign that said watch your step, but that doesn't help my condition. I also bruised my knee and cut my hand. I had to ask for a band aid. After I left no one called to check on me. When I returned the car,the agent said, "oh yeah I heard you fell". DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION! Weather you're using Avis or budget the manager Leon is a complete a**hole I had so many issues with this location it's unreal! I reserved a Hyundai Elantra or similar and they didn't have any small size car instead gave me a SUV (which was only 3 3/4 full with gas when I got it, 1/4 from being full, it made a horrible rattling & squealing that he said would "die down" (never does in fact it gets worse when you press on the gas) & told me I could exchange at the airport they would have a car ready! When we went, no cars available. Then I called everyday to see if I could exchange for a smaller size car because I honestly didn't want a big car because of the gas it takes. I called everyday to see if I could exchange but they "never had anything" & I was even hung up on multiple times. Please keep in mind I planned on going out of town and had to cancel plans because I didn't feel safe driving it long distance!! This reservation was for almost $300... It clearly states in the rules to bring the car back with the same amount of gas it had!!! SO I DID! 3 2/3 quarters full. He went to inspect the car and came back demanding I went to get gas or he will charge me $10 to full it up 1/4 quarter !?!?!?! I was trying to tell him this is how I got the car and it states to bring it back where the gas was as I did but instead he kept cutting me off and wouldn't even let me tell him that & kept saying oh I can assure you it was full when you got it (he even wasn't there the day I got it) & that I had to get gas or I'd be charged $10?! I'm really baffled at the disrespect this place has shown I will NEVER be using budget, or Avis again for that matter. read more

I've worked with the Budget in NRH,TX for years and always have a great experience. This morning I called the budget in N.GP,TX and found the opposite. First, when they answered the phone, they were still talking to someone else, and I had to wait a moment for them to say hello. Then they told me thst they couldn't pick me up even though I was less than 3 miles away (NRH always came to get me). Next he said that they didn't have any small cars, only luxury and SUVs. NRH would give me a free upgrade to these when nothing else was available, at insurance rates. This location said they don't work with insurance companies! When I said When I thanked him for his time, he did not thank me for calling or even say goodbye, he just hung up on me. I'd stay away from this location (1110 Hwy 360) at all costs. Possibly one of the worse rental car companies I have been to. Here's why. I call for a reservation get quoted a price, double checked that this was this correct price, had to uber here which cost 20 bucks, just to get here for the agent to tell me that I'm going to have to wait. Why because he had to leave the building to take someone home. Finally after 30 minutes of waiting he comes back to tell me that my rental will be 24 extra dollars a day. Unbelievable. My advice look else where for a rental the company is good but this location is horrible and under staffed. read more

The experience I've had with Avis/Budget car rental has been so much better than expected. The first guy we picked up the car from (David) was very kind & personable. We went to Walt Disney World & debated on flying versus driving. After this drive to & from (over 30 hours in the vehicle) we will definitely drive again if we can rent a Ford Explorer from them!We returned the vehicle after cleaning it, hassle free & only had to pay $11 for a late return the next day. That wasn't a hidden fee to us, they even offered to accept it as late as 6pm yesterday but we couldn't make it until 7:30. We will use Budget again and recommend them to everyone. read more

Go somewhere else than this and spend your hard earned money with considerate people. I initially made a reservation at Avis Budget location in Grand Prairie, TX (Hwy 360). The agent refused to rent me the car of my choice. He handed me a key and said, "We'll walk out here and do a quick inspection." Took me to the most basic car on the lot. I said that I wanted a different car, pointed to the one I wanted, and asked about how to get that particular car, he said, "You can get that car when I sell it. That's my own car." It was clearly not his personal car because it was being cleaned and had the rental barcode tag in the window. The location was about to close and there were no other customers, so cars were available. I asked about any of the other cars, and his reply was, "This is a nice car." At that point, he turned and walked off and left me standing there. I went back in and requested a refund if I could not get a different car. He was silent, did some paperwork, and slid a form and a pen across the counter with a smug attitude. read more
