I'm on a hot streak of Avis rentals. Finally. I chose to rent a car while in Vegas so I could visit some family and friends. We didn't want to deal with the airport rental car cesspool, so I chose to pick up the car from this location, which is at the Bellagio (despite what other reviewers may say!). There was one person ahead of us picking up their car. The clerk at the desk was very friendly and helpful. He even extended my rental a few hours so I could drop off at midnight instead of my original 8 pm drop off time. He was careful to inform me that my rental Corolla had a dent on the door and to provide documentation for me in case it wasn't previously noted. The car was pretty standard for a rental and served its purpose. The best part was that I was able to zip around town for two days and use only a quarter of a gas tank. I would not hesitate to rent from this Avis again, though do note that they are closed from noon to 1 pm for lunch! read more

BEWARE!!!! Reserved car for February 6 2026 10am pick up drop off 10am Monday February 9 2026. Got to Las Vegas Avis counter early. 2 employees and at least 50 plus people in line. Took approx 2 hrs to get to counter. Check out 1143am what I didn't notice until night before i was to return car was return time still 10am. Called spoke to a manager / supervisor to adjust time for drop off due to no fault of my own but your under staffing at counter and the supervisor said he cannot adjust time to 1143am drop off time even though late pick up was Avis fault because Avis will charge me an extra day. "Avis will adjust to whatever makes money for them". To all I looked up to Avis as the car rental to go to as much as I rent cars but it ends today not anymore will I rent another Avis car. Do not use!! We booked a car rental for the following day. We arrived at the counter to find a queue of 5 people, didn't think it was too bad. An hour and half later we are still waiting!! location, location, location..... I just wanted to leave a brief review of this satellite Avis location. We rented a car just for the day earlier this month. NOTES 1. Located near the South lobby of the Bellagio hotel near the valet pick up. 2. The office is very small. On the day of our visit, there was a signage on the door indicating "one person at a time". Upon arriving at the office, we discovered a line of people already waiting (at 9am, no less) to pick up their rental. 3. The cars are located on the 3rd floor of the parking garage. To access the garage, one must enter the Bellagio hotel, walk past the concierge (turn left), and there you will find the parking garage elevators. Section 3D where the cars are located is on the opposite end from where elevators are accessed. 4. The office hours (as indicated on the door) are 700am to 300pm, closed for lunch from 12pm to 1pm. 5. The drop box for the keys (should you return after closing) is located near stall 21. The parking stalls for the Avis rental cars are clearly marked. The main and only reason I wanted to leave a review was that male staff member that assisted us was very friendly and polite, despite being the only person on duty that morning. He had dealt with an irate woman just before helping us and I felt terrible he was treated poorly. And quite honestly, I wish I had gotten his name so I could mention him in this review. He was so helpful and informative about where to pick up the car, and provided clear instructions on what to do during drop off. side NOTE This location is clearly convenient if one is a guest at the Bellagio. BOTTOM LINE A very positive first-time experience renting from this Avis satellite location. read more

I rented a van through Costco travel a couple of months before our trip (12/31/24 - 1/6/25). We arrived at 12:17am and had to wait outside the airport terminal in the cold for the shuttle bus to arrive. We could see a shuttle drive up and park and not come towards us for boarding. When I arrived at the rental center I was greeted right away by an Avis agent but learned that the van I thought I reserved was not available. We were told that we could return around 6am because cars are usually returned and there would be a good chance that a van would be available. We ended up taking a Toyota forerunner and thought that it might have enough room for the 6 of us and our bags. We ended up returning at 6am and saw a van in the return line front of us as we returned the forerunner. We returned to the rental counter in hoping that our van would now be available. Luckily a van was just turned in and it was brought out to us in the parking lot still wet and newly washed. The van was a hybrid which was super great on gas and the van was perfect for our family of 6 and met our needs for picking at the airport with our bags and for daily driving to and from our destinations around town. After returning to Hawaii we realized that we had forgotten our handicap placard in the van. I filled out a lost and found form and waited to hear from them. They updated me once that it had still not been found, so I updated my form to advise the location that I had left the placard and a few days later I got a call from Donald Odegard to say that it had been found. I needed to pay a shipping fee of $47.23 to get it returned to me. It arrived a few days later. Donald Odegard was fantastic. He is the reason why I'm giving your company a 5 star because everything I had experienced up until that point did not leave me feeling that the cost that I paid to rent the van equaled the service I received. The van wasn't ready and I needed to return hours later and needed to bring a receipt for the gas that I just filled into the forerunner. If not for Donald Odegard service, I probably wouldn't have rented from Avis again. read more

This location is in the Cosmopolitan hotel. Very very convenient if you are staying on the strip. We rented a car here the weekend before the Formula 1 race. Las Vegas was crowded and busy. I reserved the car the night before. Paul was super helpful: the car was ready when we stopped by, he adjusted the return time for me, he asked if I needed directions, and he didn't give me a hard time after I lost the ticket needed to exit the parking garage. Much better experience that my local Avis neighborhood location at home. read more

I was a little nervous about using this location due to the reviews I read... however, the location was optimal for my business trip. I did my pre-study online and knew the location of AVIS on the Bellagio grounds... and I knew they were closed from 12:00-1:00PM. I arrived to the AVIS office at 1:01 PM and the agent was behind the desk and I received my rental quickly. The agent was helpful, courteous and professional. When I turned the car in 2 weeks later the same agent was working and the process was painless and quick. Thanks for the help. Horrible customer service. There number doesn't go anywhere so you have to call the 800 number which takes years to get through the prompt. We had a 3 pm pick up and already did our digital check in but the woman working there refused to give us our car because we were 7 minutes late trying to find the location. There are no directions anywhere and nothing that says Avis so it took forever to find. Their hours say they close at 3:30 not 3 pm. But that doesn't even make sense because my pick up was at 3 so it still would have taken her time to assist us. This is a review for AVIS 3900 S Las Vegas Blvd branch Luxor (Apparently they're not with Yelp). I planned a vacation with my family to California a month prior to 22nd of November. We reserved with avis several weeks before this trip for a vehicle rental from 21st to the 26th November. We paid in advance, we were billed for $500 and money was taken out of our bank. Come the 21st of November, avis screw us over by telling us we can't rent a vehicle. We are already paid, we paid more than four hundred dollars, but they refuse to make a customer satisfied because I don't have a credit card. Let me get this straight, the only reason why rental companies do this is to check your credit. If it's a credit check they are after, they could have run a credit check or their concierge should have the ability to do it. If not, I can also do it on my phone with the credit Karma App. So in what world does avis find it reasonable to be anal about requiring a damn credit card? None. Hertz can rent me a car without a credit card, and this avis branch isn't even an airport. The thing is, I could have expressed my extreme frustration on this company if I wasn't beaten to the line by an equally angry customer ahead of me who had a similar frustration with credit cards. The guy cussed and cursed at the avis clerk, demanded to speak to a manager and THEN demanded the AVIS CEO. Slammed the bloody phone back in frustration hammering the poor avis lady clerk's finger. Avis should fucking apologise to their own employee for letting them put up with this shite. I had to look for a rental on the eve of Thanksgiving week, which obviously I will have no luck as every branch of @Enterprise and @Hertz are fully booked. But fuck you, AVIS. When in Vegas, we always rent a car and a take a drive through the desert to do some desert trail mountain climbing. This Avis is affiliated with the Bellagio, where we were staying, so we headed there for convenience sake. Prices are a bit higher than what you could get at one of the airport car rental places; some there were roughly $30 a day while at Avis, they started at $75. But, when you figure in transportation to the airport, transportation back, etc. it was just much easier, and not much of a difference, to hit up Avis. They were super nice, gave us a map even. They hand you the keys to your car and you go through the parking lot to find it, but it's super easy and everything is well marked. They gave us a Kia something; a little four door sedan. It was... a car. Let's just say, well used. But, we didn't really care as long as it got us where we needed to go. Drop off is a cinch; all you do is park it back where you found it and drop your keys in a box. And if you're not ready to give it up yet, you can come and go as you please. So, I'm glad we got a car; a trip to Vegas isn't the same without a drive out to the desert. I'm glad we rented from Avis, if for no other reason than that is was simple and convenient. read more

My wife and I had a great time in Vegas and when we saw that there was an Avis rental agency at the Bellagio, I was excited to rent a car for the day to go see Red Rock Canyon. I thought how convenient! Boy was I wrong. We rented one of their subcompact cars and paid in advance. When we showed up, all they had were good old minivans. At the end of the day, I made sure to top off gas about a mile from the Bellagio. When I returned to the parking garage, all of the Avis spots were taken. I had nowhere to park. I had to end up illegally parking the car in the garage and leave the keys in the drop box. I thought that was the end of it. Several days later, I was using an app on my phone that monitors all charges on my credit card to make sure there are not any fraudulent charges. As I was going through all the charges, I see a charge for $48 from Avis. Confused, I call up their customer service and I am told that this is a charge for refilling the gas tank. I tell them they must be mistaken as I topped it off right before drop off. They tell me that the only way I can challenge the charge is if I provide them the receipt for the gas. I tell the woman I don't have it(big mistake on my part), but I can provide the charge on my credit card. She said that would be alright. I then email them with a pdf file showing I was at a gas station on that evening and paid about $10 for gas. They respond back and tell me that they cannot accept it. Since I have no further proof that I paid for the gas, they will not remove the $48 charge. So basically some employee at the Bellagio Avis rental agency just screwed me out of 50 bucks. Will never use Avis again! read more

Rented at the Bellagio and returned it the same day. Filled up my tank just a few miles from the hotel and dropped the car off in the garage at 5pm. You have to self-check-in by dropping the key and agreement in a drop box. That was on April 6. On April 12 Avis posted the charge for $145 instead of the $63 estimated when I made the reservation. They said I didn't fill it up and if I don't have the receipt (now over a week after I rented the car) then they would have to charge me. They did agree to split the fuel charge so now it only costs me $40 instead of $80, but there shouldn't have been any additional fuel charge. While the customer service person did as much as they could, I've decided to no longer be an Avis Preferred member and take my business to other more reputable rental companies. read more

I cannot say enough positive about my experience at the Avis Bellagio location. I actually sat down and hand wrote them a letter of thanks mailed out today. I specifically want to compliment Jessica, the customer service person who helped me resolve an issue with a reservation. I tried previously to resolve it over the phone with a customer service person related to the website. The phone/website people (there were three) were not as positive nor as helpful and I was almost ready to give up on Avis as a vendor......HOWEVER Jessica saved the day. She was able to locate my reservation, help me find a vehicle and also was nice enough to listen as I described a bit of frustration. This was above and beyond for customer service (especially minutes before the closing time). Sometimes people in the customer service only hear the negatives. Avis can be proud of their people at the Bellagio location and thankful that they have an employee as engaging, patient and helpful as Jessica! read more
