AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAUGE! I don't write too many 1 star reviews but this one was just begging for it. As the title states, avoid this place for real. I came here for a 1 day rental. I checked in online, prepayed my car and to my surprise, still had to wait 1.5 hours for my car. Oh and they didn't have the car I paid for, they said they didn't even offer that car there. Why offer it online and let me pre pay for it? Your guess is as good as mine. But all of this isn't even the worst part. The worst part is their terrible staff and customer service. On top of just being rude, they also lie. I asked about their E-Pass toll service and was advised it was 15 bucks a day. When I asked, how much do I pay if I just want to pay for the tolls myself, he told me it was $5 EACH TOLL. I literally had to ask him to say that again cause that math doesn't add up at all. His response "yeah its the way the company makes you get the E-pass from us". Sound scammy? Yup, sure is! I told him to add it to my account cause I was going to hit a couple tolls. Fast forward to the return of the car, different guy with the same crap attitude. Well I called Avis customer support for my receipt and low and behold, I find out he never even put the E-Pass like I had asked him. Now you think that the companies customer service could make the adjustment....NOPE. They were also very rude on the phone and left a nasty taste in my mouth. This is the LAST time I use Avis. The lady and the gentleman there were nice when you get the vehicle but then shorty afterward when I explain that hertz put me way behind in my bills they processed to tell me that not my problem laugh on the phone and when I call her out on it she was being even more rude. And today I been trying to call since 8 this morning I finally get in touch with them to schedule my payment for 3 and that I been trying to get in touch all morning. Then you would say I was lying and be even more rude and then proceeded to tell me to return I get here to understand why I have to return the car didn't say nothing and just call security. Not sure if I would recommend this branch! I picked up the car right before a road trip and the tank was less than half full meaning I had to hit the gas station line before we get on the road and it also means that you probably going to lose money on the gas when you bring the car because there is no way to bring it back at the exact same amount ... I remember that other companies always give us the car with a full tank and take it back with a full tank which is way more convenient. They also don't have after the hours drop-off and the front desk staff are not friendly nor good at explaining things. If you ask for clarification, they act like you are stupid and you should know all of it. In addition, no one walk you to the car or show you any of the essentials. I lost a job opportunity today because I have tried to rent a car through Avis 3 times and have been denied 3 consecutive times THE DAY OFF, TWICE UPON ARRIVAL. 3 times now I have lost out on considerable time, money, and patience, solely because this company has no regard for its clientele. 3 times I have been canceled on day of, without the offer of a discount, help with another scheduling another reservation, common human decency. I walked over to the Avis (in the mall) after my shift in a store nearby, thinking of how convenient it would be to drive home today instead of taking the bus or Ubering like I always do. The front desk rep ("Ricardo") was initially helpful with finding me a car on such short notice. I'd communicated my request to prepay online prior to making my deposit for a vehicle, but then he became impatient and dismissive when none of his solutions worked; he wrongly informed me that I'd be able to prepay online with three different options that he assured me would work, when none of them did he assumed I had no other form of payment and casually changed his tone to invite me to leave the store. After experiencing this I turned to leave the store but realized how badly I needed the rental in the first place... when I returned to the desk Ricardo started "okay, now I just you to leave. Even if you make another reservation you will not be getting a car from here" And I wondered what I did to deserve such a visceral reaction from someone that seemed so nice. I ended up Ubering home again and calling Enterprise. Would NOT recommend this location at all read more

I can not speak for anyone else, however the one customer service representative, advised his name is Courtney, lacks basic customer service skills. I walked in and asked if there was a way for me to get the 30% discount that they had online. Courtney advised that I would have to reserve the car on the website, which was fine. I reserved the vehicle on the website for pickup in about half an hour from that time so that he could get the vehicle ready. I made the reservation and checked in online with my DL and credit card info. At that time I went to pick up the vehicle and Courtney gave me attitude about a last minute reservation and didn't want to help me, and stated I would have to wait another 30 minutes when the store has been empty. Courtney advised that I should have reserved my car for 2 hours in advance and gave me attitude the entire rest of the rental process. read more

Please beware of this place and save yourself some time going elsewhere just as I should have. The male sales rep/ front desk and who also claimed to be the "OWNER" is beyond difficult and rude. He doesn't even try to have good customer service he's simply a snob. I had provided my membership number and everything over the phone to an Avis rep and he didn't want to grant any of my discounts. On top of that he asked me for a bill verifying my address and I explained to him all my bills are electronic and showed him one. He simply didn't care to work with me maybe because he wants to make the most money possible and not grant discounts. Rented a Suburban size vehicle for a vacation, paid in full a month in advance. Two days before was told I wasn't guaranteed a vehicle, needless to say I was extremely upset, but Howard at this location was very understanding and was able to get me wanted I needed. He definitely looks out and takes care of his customers... I would recommend doing business with this location. But their corporate customer service was a complete waste of my time.
