Dishonest advertising on fuel package, does not state you will be paying for full tank regardless of how much gas you use on app when filling out rental. Was blocked from completing drop-off at all because of bug in app during process. Avis called me two days after drop-off to ask if i had dropped the vehicle off. Did no one check? Preferred Plus membership means nothing.

A copy of my reservation for an economy car at 10 AM.

Avis needs an entire new fleet of cars. I reserve cars often and they almost Never have available cars when I get to the counter. Unfortunately, they're the only company besides Budget that ever allows reservations so options are few, since they rent from the same counter. I reserved for 10 AM. It's over three hours later and I'm still waiting for a car. Several other customers are also here awaiting cars that weren't available. They've offered electric cars and SUVs. Apparently, no one wants these and they're in abundance. "Don't allow reservations for small cars if you don't have them. Don't waste my time. You should be out of business with the below one star customer service you offer." Add-on: After three hours of waiting, I had an altercation with an employee who just told me they won't have cars of the class I reserved. She knew that but didn't disclose it. She canceled my reservation so I have no car now and no other rental agency has cars. I will be seeking counsel for the treatment I've encountered today.

Vickie was the human form behind the counter when I came in needing anything with four wheels to get me to Houston. My son had been careflighted following a medical emergency. The lady behind the counter couldn't have made this horrible experience in a parent's life any more terrible. She went out of her way to be wretched for no reason. I was holding back tears and as calm and patient and nice as I could be (I literally had no excess energy to be mean to anyone) and she was just hateful. During the bizarre encounter, she actually took a personal call on her cell phone and after a while informed the party on the other side she HAD to work because of a customer. I asked a follow up question to understand their toll policy, and she went truly above and beyond to not be helpful all while putting her rotten personality on display front and center. Imagine my instant regret when I asked where the parking garage for rental vehicles was. As I carried my hotdog folded contract papers, mentally preparing myself to find the garage and the long stressful drive ahead of me, she began what sounded like inventory of keys. But Donkey Kong on steroids style. I've never given much thought to a key faab being nonfunctional, but running one over with an International Harvester would be a walk in the park compared to the anger she was taking out on those poor little existences of what was yet another bane of her employed working existence. To terminate her and grant her unemployment would be too kind of a favor in her benefit, but she has no business working with people or in customer service. The experience somehow got worse from there, though. My hotdog folded contract directed me to a vehicle bay that didn't exist and car keys to a vehicle I later learned was in a return line to still be checked in and/or cleaned. Thankfully? Sammy, who I assume oversaw returns, was just as confused as I was. He gestured to a Camaro. I really had no preference, but one of my friends who helped me get to the airport pointed out I'd considered an SUV since that's what I was used to driving. As quickly as he pointed to a Tahoe he had available, he regretted it (he'd glanced at my contract and I assume he didn't want to eat the cost-- I understand). He backpedaled and pointed to a minivan. At this point, we were splitting hairs. I told him I truly didn't care BUT I wasn't driving a minivan (after how this fiasco played out, I decided to hold on to some sense of dignity) As he hemmed and hawed, he was finally told to refund my money and let me leave or get me in a vehicle ASAP, because enough time had been wasted. Truthfully, I needed to be in Houston 6 hours ago, but that was no one's fault here. Ah Sammy. He would have won a race against a sloth, barely. When he got back, he didn't bring me my original contract or a new one. He told me not to worry about it. So that's how I ended up rocketing up I-10 in a camaro..... pretty practical for a ninny who obeys speed limits... I've never been flashed by more drivers in all my life. Or so disgusted by a customer service representative. Once I got to Houston, I found no updated contract in my email. So I sat on hold for 25 minutes outside the hospital before finding out whether or not this car was expected or if they were expecting a charger I didn't receive. Not to mention this vehicle wasn't clean when I got it, no one did a walk around (so I took pictures of the existing scratches), the gas tank was not full, the oil life was low. And Vickie? I asked her to help me select the Avis return location closest to the medical center in Houston. She selected the furthest in Houston proper. Next time, I may just have to call an Uber. Then again, if there is a next time for something like this, I'll probably give in to a stroke or a heart attack. Information overload and humor aside, I wouldn't rent from these folks. I actually used to work for Budget Trucks and am shocked they'd let the Avis side of their business (the money maker of their operation) operate in this manner. Because I'm not the only one with such a terrible experience with this exact representative.

A whole lot of additional charges!? Wow, Avis...you should be ashamed of tactics like this!

Can I give ZERO STARS?!…read more Let's start with the good....service desk employee was friendly, I have a car Now the rest. I rented a small SUV and instead have a small sedan... that's all they had. The car has a broken windshield-right in drivers sight. The car is absolutely FILTHY. No one seemed to care - they noted those items and the damage and sent me on my way. Absolutely disgusting- had I not required a vehicle and prepaid I would have walked away.

Watch out for Budget scam!…read more We had rented a Budget car as part of a 3-day vacation package from Costco travel to visit family. I didn't drive much and, except for the fuel use charge of ~$33 (much cheaper if I had refilled prior to return), returned the car in the EXACT condition on time. Budget attendant checked out the car, issued the receipt with the fuel charge and we were set to go ... or so I thought. 2.5 weeks later, I noted a charge on my credit card for $334 which, after contacting Costco travel, was due to "glass/windshield damage" which had to be replaced. This was so bogus because such damage would have been obvious to me, my passenger, and the Budget attendant. I called Budget main number and asked for info on the location of the glass/windshield damage. The agent could not provide any information. She offered a one-time "courtesy refund of 50%" but I am still mad as hell for some BS charge. Perhaps Budget Rental is desperate to bring in extra revenue to survive. Beware customers: since it happened to me, it can happen to anyone who returns their car in the same condition, and still get charged for some bogus scam.

Oh and top of that, the manager texted and emailed me to send her my debit card number through a text message like cybersecurity isn't an issue. The fucking audacity. How stupid can you be? Pick up the damn phone and call someone. Update No. 2: I disputed the transactions through my bank and have been fully refunded. Customers, do not utilize this Enterprise location.

This is a common theme with most of the Enterprise rental locations in the Baton Rouge area. Hertz has much better customer service, and I highly recommend them over Enterprise. Update 1: I have emailed their customer care per their request. My hopes are not high as they have completely ignored a previous complaint about this exact same issue. I will update this review with whatever the outcome may be. PS... I listened to the phone ring non-stop this morning at their Baton Rouge International Airport location for 37 minutes before having to give up. Update 2: No one from this location ever called me. Customer service never called me. The customer service at Enterprise SUCKS! No one cares at all. If I could give them zero stars I would. Spend your money elsewhere.
