    Terrible customer service. Certain managers don't even acknowledge you if you aren't a certain ethnicity which is disgusting.

    biggest ripoff, ever. overpriced by $173, for a sub class accent vs a midsize ford escape. budget blows them away.

    WARNING: DO NOT RENT from this location…read more Update: Branch Manager Matthew T. Reaves has placed me on the "Do Not Rent" because I disputed this predatory charge for a one day rental. One of the most disgusting National Car Rental locations in the county. I travel for work weekly throughout the US, and I'm a loyal National customer. I've rented from many locations, and this is in the top 5 for WORST experiences. I reserved a one day rental, standard car rental. When I arrived, I was put in a compact SUV. Once I drove off with the vehicle, I noticed that my hands had soot on them. I pulled over and wiped the steering wheel down with a wipe (my own wipe because this location doesn't even offer Clorox wipes like other locations), wipe was covered in soot from the steering wheel and gear shift. Additionally, the check engine light came on. Frustrated, I turned back to exchange the vehicle. The return agent gave me a hard time about switching into a similar class vehicle. As I waited for them to get me a vehicle, I saw them put the vehicle I kust returned back on the floor for rental. Finally, I was given another compact SUV. When I looked at the bill, they charged me $273.01 for an "Intermediate Electric 4 door."" ELECTRIC?! This location could barely handle keeping clean cars on the floor. There wasn't a single electric vehicle in sight, and they had the nerve to charge me for a higher class car and put me in junk. Obviously, I've opened a dispute. Rent from another rental company when flying into BTR. You'll save yourself unnecessary hassle.

First off they gave me a vehicle that was full of roaches…read more However we did not notice until the following day when all of the seats and luggage were covered in creepy crawly ROACHES! The first night we received the vehicle some of the passengers felt something crawl across their feet and legs but thought, hey it's Louisiana, maybe it's just a mosquito of some sort. But we were sadly mistaken when we discovered Roaches crawling all over the vehicle. When calling to advise Avis that we needed a replacement vehicle, they advised that we had to wait two hours for tow (in the rain) before they would replace the vehicle for which we would have to take an Uber back to Avis at the airport, after tow arrived to retrieve a new vehicle. Well since it was 10 pm at night and Avis closed at midnight, if we would have waited, Avis would have been closed by the time we arrived with tow and then we would be stranded without a vehicle. So in shear desperation, we drove this roach invested vehicle 30 mins back to Avis to exchange it for a new vehicle! Now, not only were my plans ruined for the weekend, but the replacement vehicle was too small and not in the same class as the vehicle rented. The whole situation was a big inconvenience. But do you think that Avis cared? NO! They still charged me for two of the four days for the rental even though it was replaced with a vehicle that did not meet my needs. You would think for the inconvenience, the whole rental charge would have been reimbursed. Then after they advised that they would take $200 off of my bill, they still charged my credit card the full amount! What is wrong with this company. No one should have to endure what me and my friends had to endure this past weekend! DO NOT RENT FROM AVIS, BUDGET, OR ANY OF THEIR AFFILIATES! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AS A CUSTOMER, THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THE DOLLAR!

I rented a small SUV and instead have a small sedan... that's all they had. The car has a broken windshield-right in drivers sight. The car is absolutely FILTHY. No one seemed to care - they noted those items and the damage and sent me on my way. Absolutely disgusting- had I not required a vehicle and prepaid I would have walked away.

I didn't drive much and, except for the fuel use charge of ~$33 (much cheaper if I had refilled prior to return), returned the car in the EXACT condition on time. Budget attendant checked out the car, issued the receipt with the fuel charge and we were set to go ... or so I thought. 2.5 weeks later, I noted a charge on my credit card for $334 which, after contacting Costco travel, was due to "glass/windshield damage" which had to be replaced. This was so bogus because such damage would have been obvious to me, my passenger, and the Budget attendant. I called Budget main number and asked for info on the location of the glass/windshield damage. The agent could not provide any information. She offered a one-time "courtesy refund of 50%" but I am still mad as hell for some BS charge. Perhaps Budget Rental is desperate to bring in extra revenue to survive. Beware customers: since it happened to me, it can happen to anyone who returns their car in the same condition, and still get charged for some bogus scam.
