They called me to inform me that they had rented out the car I had reserved while I was already on my way to pick it up. I was then told that the Rainbow location refused to send them any additional vehicles. The representative, Ella (I believe that was her name), instructed me to go to the airport location, stating that all of my reservation notes would be there and that I would be able to rent a car at that location. I drove 20 miles to the airport, only to be told by the airport staff that they had no record of my reservation or any notes associated with it. I asked if I could rent a vehicle at the airport, and was told yes--but at a cost of $230, plus an additional $25 fee if I returned it to the Rainbow location. This was despite the fact that my original reservation was confirmed at $100. The airport location attempted to contact the Rainbow location multiple times but received no response. As a result of the misinformation and lack of coordination from the Rainbow location, I was left without a vehicle. Due to the clear incompetence and mishandling of my reservation, I have filed a formal complaint with Avis. read more

I reserved a rental car for my 2 weeks in Vegas. This location had one of the best deals in the area. I arrived about 30 mins early and was able to get my rental. The customer service agent that helped me was awesome he even upgraded my rental for no additional fee. I am quite happy with the service and the vehicle during my stay in Vegas. Welp, it would be difficult for me to, in good faith, give this place anything more than one star after our last experience here. We reserved an SUV for pickup at 4pm on a Friday. When we arrived a couple minutes after 4pm, we discovered that... they were closed. Locked up, lights off, nobody around. Why allow reservations at 4 if you close at 4? Strike one. So we came back at around 11 on Saturday. We were told that all they had were electric vehicles, even though our reservation was for a Standard SUV. None of the EVs were SUVs. They were Ioniqs and Mach-Es. And besides, it wouldn't matter even if they were. We are going on a long road trip, and an EV isn't feasible for us, which is why we reserved a car in the first place (I have an EV). They informed us that the Airport might have one, but it would be more than $100 more expensive than the agreed upon price, due to additional fees. WTF? I felt like I was in an episode of Seinfeld. Taking the reservation is easy. But you need to be able to fill it. Shame on them for being unapologetic about the issue of not being available on Friday, and then for not having the vehicle that we reserved weeks earlier. We rent cars regularly for travel, and I will never reserve with this Avis location ever again. Big woof. read more

THIS IS FOR AVIS THE COMPANY location unknown BUT as a company they are self insured and they took no responsibility for their rental car which was at fault in an accident. It was a hit and run witnesses took video and photos. Avis scheduled an investigation but then dropped the case and refused any communication. I was forced to fix our vehicle and as a single parent of four this was a hardship for me. I should have surd them but was overwhelmed with parenting and life responsibilities after spending countless hours dealing with them. The car smelled terrible - so much so they had 3 little tree air fresheners hanging off the steering wheel. The car was FL plates but still for what we pay it shouldn't be smoke, funk and something else I can't discern. If I could leave a 0 star, I would. I rented the car at the mirage hotel and drove it across the street to the palazzo in the early mornings....didn't even use the car for the rest of the day. Not even a day later, came back to car and the battery was completely dead. They were going to charge me $130 to jump start it for there faulty vehicle. The residents of Vegas related that the batteries die quickly due to the extreme heat and I done see how that is my problem. I ended up wasting a day to find someone to help jump the vehicle. I returned the car the next day and come to find out that they only open for 5 hours a day and was closed when I arrived at 3pm. Once again, the car was dead, so I ended up turning it in. Called customer service and they stated they weren't going to charge me....come to find out, they charge me for 3 days for having the vehicle. Had to call back multiple times and had to explain myself 3 times per a call due to poor communication on there side. They also hung up on me twice and that was the last straw for me. I finally got through a person and they was going to forward my request to collections because they had already charge and closed my reservation. Now I have to wait 5 days to see if they even did there job properly. They even have the nerve to charge me 3 days for there crap car and was only going to refund me for 2 day with the car only been driven less than a mile. Never renting from them again. Checked back after 8 days and they still didn't refund me as they stated. Called customer service for the 9th time and they flat out didn't want to refund me and only offer a 50% credit...I would never rent from them ever and going to dispute this with my credit card company...so beware read more

I am a long time Avis member, rent quite a many times for business and pressure. I have been using the Rainbow location for over two years now. The people here make all the difference. I have found Jorge and David very sensitive to my needs and helping in the best way possible. I find them courteous even when I often arrive 10-15 minutes earlier than their opening time. Worst possible scam!!! First they tried to charge me $2500 for one day rental, same situation happened to people just next to me (should be about 500 including the deposit). Two days later they overcharged my card for $630, trying to tell me that I held the car for an additional day. Later that was refunded after only 5 calls.... Another day later and they charged me extra $125. Customer service, desk office - noone can tell me why, or what the charge is for. 4 days of talking and they are just sending 'we are sorry' letters, no real action or refund though. The lady that arranged our rental added things to agreement without my knowledge. She told me I would have to $250 deposit to be returned to me. She added things like roadside assistance and personal property loss. I never consented. Called them and they could only offer 20% off those services. My bill was $200 more than expected. Avis charged me a late fee even though i was involved in a crash that wasnt my fault and was stuck with the crashed car that they needed to tow. I waited for 4 hours for a tow teuck driver sent by avis and the customer service was far from great. Be cautuous giving these guys your credit card info. read more

I always rent from here. I had made reservations with budget to go out of town. No where on their website did they say they only went to Cali and Arizona. I go to pick up my car and just mention I'm driving to see my parents. The agent tells me glad I did because their cars don't go to Tennessee. At this time I'm in hysterics because I'm leaving in less than 12 hrs. She offers to help me find another rental place. I'm worried at last minute everything's going to be way too expensive. She calls this Avis location and talks to David, lucky he has a car for me. I rush over to him and explain what happened and the reason I'm going home and he plugs away and he is so sweet to give me a discount my rental ended up being 10 cheaper than my budget rental. This place is the worst. My mom had a 4:00 appointment to pick up a car. Got there at 4:05 at the door was locked and all the lights were off. They have a very small selection of cars so you'd think they would care when someone is actually reserving one to pick up. We then had to drive all the way to McCarran Airport (on the other side of town if you don't know) and pick up a car there. AND THEN they charged a $25 service fee for dropping the car off at a different location. Absolutely ridiculous. Scam artist action right there. The real icing on the cake was when they wanted $10.00/gallon to return the car without being filled up. I recently rented a car in CALIFORNIA and only paid $5.55/gallon to return. We drove out to California for for my lady birthday and decided to rent a car, which we hadn't done before so I was a bit worried about it. BUUUUUTTTTTT this place was amazing. As soon as you walk in they greet you with the kindest smile and the most amazing attitude that it immediately just made me feel more at ease. Here I am thinking that there were going to try to upsell us on everything but they didn't. They actually worked with us on what kind of car we needed and would be comfortable in then he took the time to show us how everything in the car worked. My husband and I were very disappointed in this Avis location. When we arrived to pick up our rental we were given a car that we did not request. We requested a compact car and was given an upgrade to a midsized car which the rep. stated there were no compact cars available. This probably wouldn't have been a problem but the car was extremely dirty inside and out and the four tires had to be inflated. When we inquired about the dirty car the rep. blew us off. When we got the car home we also discovered a dirty diaper under the drivers seat and the windows had to be washed so we could see out of them. read more
