Consumers aren't stupid. That said, you can grab a high mileage Model 3 for about 20 grand plus any tax credits that might apply. I wouldn't but for the stout hearted, it sounds like a great deal. Then the nonsense began with a manual verification of my credit card since my drivers license is out of state. Agent read the number aloud to someone on the phone to confirm the billing address matched my license. Bizarre in this day and age. I refueled the amount of gas that I used but they claimed I was on the hook for prepaid gas. That was not discussed at the beginning of the rental. Fortunately they removed that charge. Overall I'd recommend sticking with ride shares like Uber and Lyft instead of renting from Enterprise.
