Terrible! I booked at least a month in advance and today I go to pick up the car at 10am and they don't have a car to give me and all they could say is sorry!! How the F is that going to get me to NC tomorrow morning?!?! All they could do is offer me a shitty van! Then to top it all off they let me use a mini van to get around while they "try" to figure out what they could do and this cigarette smelling car had no gas!! I needed a specific minivan, a Pacifica. There wasn't one available, so they made sure to have one from another dealer ready for me. Coming home my GPS had me arriving a few minutes after their closing time on Saturday. They offered to stay open a few minutes which allowed me to return the car and not have to pay 2 extra days rentals until they reopened on Monday. On 7/14/23 I went to the Massapequa Park location to get a car rental as a result of my car being totaled on 7/12/23. I contacted the insured's State Farm insurance and they told me that they authorized the car rental on 7/13/23 for me to immediately rent my car in Massapequa Park. Since my car was hit and dragged into a 3rd parties car, the 3rd party was able to get their car rental on 7/13/23 based off of my claim being cleared. When I entered the store front at Enterprise in Massapequa Park on 7/14/23, as I could not get their sooner, I was assured their would be no issue in obtaining my car as I was cleared. Michael Tarpin was seated all the way in the back of the store absorbed in his computer screen, talking to me from behind the screen. I never was greeted by him, nor did he stop what he was doing to give me the Enterprise "experience." Instead, I asked him about my car rental and he looked my name up while still seated and far away from me, and said, "oh, your approval was not here, it just came in." I was like, that is odd, the other party already got their car yesterday based off my claim which does not make sense? He said, "next time, you should call before you come down." I was like, "WOW," I was told that State Farm called in my rental and that I would have a car. I was perturbed by not only his lack of customer service, but, him pushing blame toward me that I "should somehow know to call" based upon having a serious accident and getting the approval made. I was like, I did all the work, yet, this was not enough. The staff at this location, minus Michael, are normally excellent. I told Michael when I left that I would like to come back at 11 AM to pick up a car if he could call me. Well, he never did, and I called and spoke with Breana. She as very kind and assured me that she could pick me up to get the car. I told her that was not necessary. I then got a call back from her and she said, "you know that you will need to give a $300 deposit?" I was like, no, I was not told that. I am inconvenienced with a totaled car, and now I have to pay money? I then called back after getting off the phone with her, and Michael swears that I spoke to a "Nick," who, never identified himself as Nick, who supposedly told me to call an 800 number to speak to corporate to ask about an exception about the $300.00 I call the number to find out that I cannot contact corporate this way, I then call back to speak to Michael and he answers the phone. I told him that I do not appreciate it when I am put on a wild goose chase. I had a 12 Noon appt. and needed a car. He then becomes agitated and stuck in his own pride when I call him out about him doing this and then goes on to say, that he hasn't spoke to me all day. I then said, why wouldn't you contact corporate on my behalf to help me out instead of giving me a number that will not put me in contact with a higher level Manager? He then said, "I never gave you the number, Nick did." I was like, "well, you as the Manager are responsible for your people giving numbers. Can you check it." He checks it and says it was the right number. I asked him again if he could call for me and he refused. At that point, I was late for an appointment and my patience was thinned by his "hands off" approach at being what seemed bothered to help. In conclusion, we wound up going back and forth in the office and he stood up and stuck his chest out like he was "the man" and told me that he didn't want to rent me a car now until I apologized. A woman Janet, was a customer at this time witnessed his inappropriate behavior towards a distressed customer who had their car totaled who he didn't care at all about clearly. The woman hugged me and said, I see everything that is going on here. That is terrible service. I said, I know, I am going to report this. I wound up apologizing to placate his sensitive ego that shows his smallness as a leader, and then he grimaced with satisfaction and then rented me a car with low air in the tires and a battery with 5 volts that died and I had gotten stuck in a parking lot at night the next day in an extreme heat day. I called again to the office and asked for a new car to have someone switch it with me at my office on 7/18/23 and till today, no one has called, or remediated the situation. BEWARE of this location, their cars are all messed up, filthy and smelly and are usually given to you with no gas and a car wash certificate since, they don't maintain the cars. It is a horror. Then, to get stuck as a woman with a bad car and to have to apologize to a person exhibiting narcissistic behavior, is outlandish. In April, I rented another car on a business trip, and the car sensors were off causing my car to miss the road multiple times driving upstate in the moutains. I will never waste my time to go their again as long as Michael Tarpin is the Manager. He needs deescalation and humility training. He clearly is burnt out in his work and could care less about people read more

I have used this office on three rentals and have had nothing but professional quality service. Staff always has my paperwork ready to go and I've never had any issues. I actually choose this one over one that is located in my town because the service here is that much better. The staff who works in Massapequa is always friendly. The business model is awful. This is my 3rd time renting with an issue from the Massapequa branch. I reserve a car ahead of time, show up, wait for 30 minutes and then they find me a car in a branch "right down the street"- a town 15+ minutes away. One time I was dropped off and the rental car didn't have keys inside. One time I was dropped off and the car was on Empty. One time I was dropped off, waited around, was driven back to the original branch, and then driven to a 3rd branch. It's a shame that the people working in the location can't get additional help because they really are so nice. This is my last time renting from this branch. read more

Enterprise used to be our go-to car rental company, but we will no longer be using them. We rented a car from the Massapequa Park, NY location, while ours was being repaired. We didn't want any additional insurance, but the manager Mike was very pushy in selling the DW (damage waiver insurance). He told us that everything was covered by the insurance company and we would not be responsible for it. In addition, as requested, our car was dropped off at the repair company and not checked back in by Enterprise for a few days, so we were charged for overage fees also. We now have a bill for $761 dollars which was automatically charged to our Credit card. We have made 4 separate calls to the corporate office, with no follow up. DO NOT USE THEM!! read more

Don't go to this Enterprise branch. THEY ARE CROOKS!!! Because I didn't have a reservation, they told me all they had was a car over what my insurance company would pay for. They didn't once tell me they would waive the fee, and no one called me from this branch to say that they had another vehicle for me later on. When I called to complain once I received my bill, the manager Nick told me I had a chance to change cars and that someone left me a message to see how it was going. After an extremely disappointing experience with customer service at nearby branch, I decided to give Enterprise another chance at this Massapequa office where I am happy to say that the experience couldn't have been any more pleasant. From the moment we walked in Taylor treated us with respect, always with a sincere smile. I have used this location many times throughout the years and have never had a problem. This all changed during the Covid-19 pandemic. I rented a car on Tuesday night, unsure of when I would be leaving for my out of state trip. I told them I would keep the car in the lot overnight and pick it up In the morning. I went to get the car the next morning and the car was filthy. I wiped it down with my own Clorox wipes, and they were black with filth. The car was noticeably very dirty inside. The seats had food stuck in it, coffee spilled on the center console and just filth on the steering wheel and radio. The enterprise guy had to see this when he checked the mileage before giving me the keys. It took me 15 mins the next morning to clean this car and by the time I was done the branch was now open. I went into the store to use the bathroom to wash my hands. As I walked in I said the car was pretty disgusting and they didn't blink an eye. I said with the coronavirus going around you should be cleaning out these cars and they openly admitted that they did not clean the car. The excuse was there was no time. I was not asking for a car wash, just the inside to be clean. I left the store and nothing else was said. Two hours later I received an email from the company letting us know what they are doing to make sure everything is clean because of covid 19. The email said they are taking additional measures to make sure cars are clean. They didn't even clean the car, so tell me what additional measures they took? When I returned the car I mentioned this email. The manager Charlie just looked at me and said well you could have asked for another car. There were no other cars on the lot!! When I said it was filthy after cleaning the car that morning, he should have said let me go out and give it another cleaning. I shouldn't have had to ask, he should have done the right thing and came up with solutions. At the end he just threw the bill at me and I said I would no longer be doing business here and he just responds with bye. As a platinum enterprise customer I am very sad about the way I was treated and how he tried to solve this problem. Covid -19 is a serious problem and enterprise does not seem to care! I know..here I go again...just when I thought these folks would have a tough time, at least as far as I was concerned, exceeding their prior performance, but they did.... i'll explain further... This time I needed another type of vehicle,,one capable of taking 3 adults, and an infant in a car seat, a huge mounted painting boxed and a massive amount of luggage to the Newark airport when none of our "family fleet" could ever accommodate all that. My original concept was a large mini-van with fold down third seat, and separated second row. When I explained this to Taylor, this store's manager, he expressed that I might find I can get more use from a full size pickup. Upon checking the rates online I noticed that the rates for that van had appeared to recently increased. I was told this was due to seasonal demand because of returning college students. I took his suggestion and ordered the pickup. Taylor had said that he could get me one without commercial plates, so I could take it on the parkways, and make sure it was available on the date needed. When I went to pick it up, what was there was this new massive Ford F250 Super Duty,,,two of them actually,,both with huge club cab and extended bed. They even gave me a choice of gas or diesel. The size of this mammoth truck was overwhelming,,,and the price was barely over that of an economy car rental...The space came in sooo handy as in the two days since ordering the lady in the trip decided to do more shopping and bought more luggage to carry it home. Short of a box truck, no other vehicle could ever carried all this,,but due to Taylor's suggestion everything fit perfectly,,, you could say "Taylor-made"... but the greater part of this was that everything was delivered exactly as promised, no added charges for any upgrades and this trip was affordable,,far far far less then such a trip with all the baggage being brought, might have cost using a limo service. I rented a car from this location over the weekend and my experience working with Paul and Terence was fantastic. I was a walk in and in need of a small car in my insurance price range. Due to the fact that they were almost closing for the weekend, their inventory was low and they had to pull some strings to get me a car. Paul and Terence went out of their way to provide excellent customer service. They were friendly and not disgruntled about working late. Their attitude was refreshing and I wish that I could experience this type of service more often. To top it off, Paul even called me today to ask me if everything was going well with the car. I recently had to have body work done on my car it would be in the shop for 11days I rented a car in the Massapequa park office and had great experience it was seemless I walk in meet jacaline and in 10 minutes I was off on a great 2015 Chrysler 200 what a car I was shown how everything worked since I have an older car I got a great deal weekly and daily money wise and when I returned the car they drove me to the body shop to pickup my car I have nothing but good things to say about enterprise and there staff Thanks again u guys read more

Disappointed in this interaction with Massapequa Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Enterprise works directly with Geico, who provides replacement vehicles to its customers while their cars are being repaired. Our new Audi A4 was damaged, so Enterprise showed up at our house with an Audi Q7 replacement vehicle. On the way to drop the Driver back to the rental office, he told my wife that this car had an out of pocket expense of $10 per day. By the time they arrived at the rental office this amount had increased to $25 per day. The thing is, we never requested a vehicle that was not fully covered by Geico's $50 per diem. This hard/up sell was both obvious and insulting to us. Is this office somehow incented to fleece people who have just been involved in an automobile accident? Had a small issue with the additional insurance fees in that I signed off on something that wasn't read out to me, there were many customers being helped and it was really just a matter of coming in at a bad time. The manager was very kind and helped work it out for me so I wasn't charged the additional fees. Very thankful for their prompt and caring customer service. SCAMMED DO NOT USE THIS BRANCH!!!! Rented a car to Erie PA as I do EVERY year for the past 3 years. NEVER was I told about a $100 return fee to the Erie PA Airport that I have returned cars to the last 3 years. They were SURE to explain and sell me the extra insurance but left this out. Also, car was dirty and left 1/2 tank. Had to be dropped off and pick vehicle up at Firestone, apparently I'm the delivery guy. I have used Massapequa Enterprise NUMEROUS times in the past and NOT deceived. When I called the office was told its on bottom of paperwork. SAME paperwork I had to fill out and go over while standing up outside Firestone while he quickly went over car with me, again NEVER MENTIONING THE RETURN FEE!!!
