Took them 5 minutes to pick us up from the collision center, and they were very kind and helpful. Service was excellent, they were very informative about the process and made everything move along easily. They have 6 chairs and a wall outlet, but no public restrooms. If you are looking to rent a car and are getting driven here, heads up, parking is extremely limited, especially when they are busy. If you need a vehicle on the weekend, make sure to get here early. My entire experience went very smooth. I reserved an economy car online an hour before I needed it. When I arrived at the location, the staff greeted me and called me to the counter within 5 minutes. My counter time was about 10 minutes. The service guy looked through my paperwork, scanned my cc and ID. He then told me that they were going to upgrade me at the same cost I was already paying. I'm good with that. I ended up getting a Nissan Frontier which I was a bit hesitant accepting at first because I'm not used to driving pickups. I took it though, and was very pleased. I drove from LI to Queens r/t and I have to say, the Frontier felt like I was gliding on air. I was very impressed with the car itself. The only thing about the car was that it had a pink Tree air freshener hanging from the visor when I got it. Along with the berry smell it was giving off, you can definitely tell that the prior renter had been smoking weed in the truck. I even found some little pieces on the floor which I picked up and tossed out the window. The smell was really pronounced and you could tell that the berry air freshener was working it's max to do whatever coverup it was doing. Other than that, the car had only 6k miles on it and drove like a dream. Upon return, the staff offered me a ride home which was not too far. They had the guy from the car wash area give me a ride. I'd have to say he was a kid of 17 or 18, very nice, offered good conversation and got me home with no issues. We briefly talked about extreme sports and cars. I was very appreciative that they offer a free ride home. I would definitely return again based on my experience of this rental. :-) read more

Dropped off my rental and left my sunglasses in the car. Went back while the car was in their possession and the sunglasses were stolen. The car never left the lot and the sunglasses were not there. The manager then proceeded to tell me that they are not responsible without even setting up an investigation. One of the employees tried to step in and help after but the damage was done. My experience with this Enterprise was just not a good one. It started off fine, I was given a rental though Richmond Autobody and the employee was very friendly. A couple days into having the rental, I noticed there was some issue with the drivetrain (shaking/rumbling) around speeds of 40mph+. I took time off work to get swapped with another car as I wasn't comfortable with the way it was handling. This transaction was inconvenient, but fine...until about 4 days into driving the NEW rental, I realized the (MA) registration on it had been expired for 2 months. It blows my mind as to how a car rental company could be so careless as to rent out a car with an expired reg! As soon as I realized, I called and was told they didn't have any more cars at the moment and that they would call me back...but they never did. Luckily, my car was ready within the next 2 days, but my anxiety was at an all time high during the rest of the duration of driving the rental. I returned the rental car to the autobody shop on 2/4 and still have yet to have my security deposit refunded by Enterprise! read more

I'm sure there are people here that were put in a similar situation. This is not the first time I borrowed a car from this Enterprise, it's usually my go-to as they've always taken care of me... but I don't know if I can trust Enterprise after what's happened during COVID. I had an accident in December of last year, so I rented a car from Enterprise through Geico. The problem really began when everything had been paperless because of the COVID crisis that hit NY. They had told me that I would receive the contract by e-mail, but it never came. I requested one later again, but it was kind of a repeat process. The accident claim was finished and handled by Geico in January and then I noticed there was a charge for $589 dollars. First, I called Enterprise to see what the charge was about as Geico had handled all the charges that were in place, and I had been told that my insurance, Geico, had not paid 6 of the 30 days that the car had been rented. I had to make sure and called Geico to see what went wrong and they had told me that said that Enterprise had charged us for their own car insurance. I don't know what went wrong here, but I attempted to get my credit back through the bank as it was two completely different stories floating back to me. It has been a couple of months, but the manager of the Amityville Enterprise, Gael, has promised to try and get me the refund, but it does look like that might not happen. read more

I've gone through the Amityville Enterprise rental location several times over the past 9 years, mostly when one of my vehicles had been involved in some sort of collision or an insurance claim. I have been fortunate enough to have had pretty smooth experiences for the most part. Recently, I experienced top notch service from Alissa M. ,the assistant manager. Alissa was exceptionally polite, friendly, professional, courteous, knowledgeable and prompt. I commend her for making my rental experience a perfect 10 today. Keep up the amazing work Alisa and thank you for everything. Update: My wife was just involved in a bad car accident with my 10-year-old and our car unfortunately was totaled. If I can negative stars I would.... What a runaround!!!! On April 22 I returned a rental car to enterprise rental center on sunrise Highway in Amityville, New York and on that date I'll ask if there was any charges that was due on my card because I know that I called the emergency tow service and the agent explained I will have a charge of 50 charged to my cc on file for changing a flat tire on the rental. Once the young man they told me I had a balance over $300, right away I disputed the charges and began to ask why is my bill so high? I asked, what was the charge reference to and he told me I had requested the insurance so right away while the manager was standing there and I didn't know he was a manager at first but after speaking with the young man I right away disputed the charges because I said no one ever asked me if I want to insurance coverage and if they would've asked me I would've said no because I have my own insurance with Geico. While I was ranting over this the manager overheard the conversation and I believe his name was Gael said that he would take care of everything. I repeated "oh you're gonna take care of it and he said yes I'll take care of it once I'm done with this customer so me and my son proceeded to go home. I didn't think anything else about it. I look at my credit card statement this month and I see that the charges were still there. May 17 I called enterprise and I spoke with a person named Zach. Zach assured me that he will be calling me back after 6 PM because he wanted to do some research on the matter so I waited and no call back so the next morning I went to enterprise - May 18 and I wanted to speak to the manager, because I remember that he told me himself that he would take care of these charges. I explained the story to Gael and he said he remembered me. Gael told Me that Zack was the one that did my original transaction and that he would have to speak to Zach. So I was confused because I told Gael that I spoke to Zach yesterday and Zach acted like he didn't know anything about this whole situation knowing that he was the one that gave me the rental. Gael said to me he will have to talk to Zack and he will definitely get back to me with an answer after 1pm, so I said why do you need to give me an answer when you told me originally that you would take care of this when I first disputed the charges. He explained how he wanted to make sure if Zack knew what he was doing or if he was aware of this going on and again how he was definitely take care of this. I waited till 3pm and nothing. So I called enterprise again. I spoke to the manager Gaël and I explain to him, I felt like I am receiving the "run around" when he was the one that told me at the end of the day on April 22 that he would take care of this matter. then he started to use recanted what he said to me. NOW, he said -I meant I was going to take care of it by looking into it I said that's not what you said to me you told me as I was disputing these charges that you were going to take care of it so to me the interpretation can read you were going to handle this and take these charges off. If I felt that Garl was not going to take of these charges then I would if never left until I settle the bill. I felt the bill was settled. Zach's now is available to talk and now he remembered me. Zach also told me because of the timeframe he will have to contact the accounting department to get my refund to me. It's been almost a week now and I haven't heard anything back from Zack or the manger Gael or the enterprise company. I'm very upset as a customer because I've dealt with enterprise for many years and never experienced poor customer service. I disputed these charges over a month ago and now I feel like this branch is giving me a run around. it's sad to me that the manager never took care of the matter and if he forgot why didn't he just say he forgot. No one never fave us a copy of the contract to look over. I thought this was due to Corvid because we signed everything on a touch pad. This particular Enterprise is running quite the game on innocent, hard working people. I had an accident 7/2017 and needed a rental for 2 weeks . When I arrived at this Enterprise the staff was nice but, they were pushing me to rent an extravagant SUV for which I did not I asked for a similar model to my Rogue to keep the cost down in turn they showed me a Hyundai Santa Fe which they said my insurance would cover up to $1000 of the rental fee. Fast forward to 2weeks and 2 days later I went back to this Enterprise to finally return my rental , when to my shock they told me I owed them roughly $950.00. When I started to object to this the boy behind the counter ( I believe his name was Tyler Darsa) explained he would speak to the auto body shop to work this out. I was assured no charge would go on my credit card till I was spoken to. To my disappointment not only did they charge my credit card w/o talking to me but the full amount of $950 was added to my card . When I questioned (over the phone) how did they come up with this ridiculous amount for 2 day rental but, accepted $1000 for 2 weeks ???? I was told they will send me their copy of the agreement so I can see I initialed the agreement. Not only did the receipt not make any sense but, the initials they were talking about were not my own. I will be filing a case in small claims but I feel I need to warn anyone who might go to this Enterprise location. read more

I rented from here through my insurance while my car was in the shop. Was such a bad experience from the beginning. I was supposed to be receiving a sedan and I received a van at 1/2 gas. On top of that they did not have the van at that location and had to travel to another one for pick up. I am renting solo so a van is huge and unnecessary, was a huge gas expense. I was told that I could exchange it out at any time but that they didn't have any sedans left. I got all the way home to realize that they gave me a van with commercial plates which does not allow me to drive on parkways. I called and was told they now had a car for me. I had to got back to the place return the vehicle and received yet another van because turns out they didn't have a car. A couple of days later I was finally able to get into a sedan which was given to me 3/4 of the way full. Upon my return of the vehicle I called beforehand to let them know when I was dropping it off and that I would need a ride back to the auto shop. I get to enterprise and return the vehicle and after the return was completed was told that they had no one to take me to the auto shop. I did not have anyone that could take me so I ended up walking back to the auto shop a two minute drive = 20 minute walk with all of my belongings from in the rental. Was not the end of the world but it was raining and I was unfamiliar with the area. Would never use this location again. read more

I normally wouldn't review a rental car place but the service was so outstanding that I felt this Enterprise deserved to have people hear about it. The reps were so friendly and accommodating upon my arrival. They got my car shortly and in great condition, better than I expected for a rental car paid for by insurance. The paperwork process went smoothly and there were no surprises. They even offered to drive me to my auto-body shop, which was just a couple of buildings away. When my car was returned I was once again greeted promptly by the friendly staff and they processed the return very quickly. Everything was covered by the insurance as agreed. Terrible!!! Absolutely terrible!! It doesn't even deserve a star !! The customer service here was completely the worst I have ever received!! I will NEVER rent a car from enterprise again after this, The agent (or whoever she was ) Amanda was nothing but RUDE. Very nasty. First she did the math wrong on the car. I told her I only wanted car for 5 days and she proceeded to give me 7 days with the same rate as 5! She told me she didn't care if I went to hertz and only cared about my business not me! Then she "rounded" the price to $600! She didn't do a complete walk around the car and there was a scratch on the car. She didn't explain ANYTHING to me. She also Made me wait very long She was completely unprofessional! Also they made us move our other car ! When I called to tell enterprise explain what had taken place , they told me I would receive a call from someone who can help me. Little did I know, I received a call back from Amanda ! The same rude agent ! yelling about how her customer service was bad and didn't even try to help or apologize. Interrupted me , treated me horrible !! Just completely rude and disrespectful. Yelling " what was wrong with my service ??!!" At the top of her lungs so rude!! It was like she was screaming that I had "told on her" and she told me she would have the area manager call and hung up on me! She was so disrespectful. I NEVER received a call from the area manager. When I called back enterprise to ask where my phone call was, I was hung up on AGAIN. When I called back i got the same agent on the phone and he lied and said his connection went down and he works from home?? I thought this was a professional company!!
