UPDATE 2: I was in contact with AVIS and sent them proof that the vehicle was returned and a receipt was immediately generated notating a full tank and mileage at return. Basically all of that would be impossible without the key that they claimed I lost. They still sent me to collections. So I call AVIS and suddenly they have no record of charging me, no record of sending me letters, no record of a damage claim. So now I have to call and dispute with Viking Client Services which they immediately closed the account and ceased any further collection activity. Finally, the issue is resolved. Oh apparently Rachel is the owners daughter who another reviewer said smokes in the car. Andy who checked the car in proved to be just another shady character pulling off this stunt. I didn't get the car I wanted when I went to reserve it on a Friday to pick up Monday. That should have been communicated to somebody not ignored. Otherwise the car I got was satisfactory! Every thing else went smoothly. I had a good ride and trip. I would still recommend Avis because they're much better than enterprise! read more

DON'T GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME. My car broke down in the most inconvenient location on a Saturday afternoon. While waiting for the tow truck, I tried to get a rental. Most standalone stores closed at 2pm which brought me to Avis/Budget. The two men working here yesterday (one older w/ a heavy accent and what appeared to be his younger bearded trainee) need more training in customer service. I was in line behind 4 people, and by the time the 3rd went up the trainee decided to logon the computer. They were 45 mins from closing I guess they don't really want to go home? When he finally helped me, heavy accent goes "we're all out of cars". Then the trainees computer loads and they actually do have cars, just not the type I selected. So which is it? Don't waste my time. After single finger typing my reservation information, bearded trainee asks me to insert my card. THEIR CARD READER SUCKS BECAUSE IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO READ AND IT WON'T TELL YOU THE AMOUNT THEY ARE HOLDING. I had to ask. I've rented cars multiple times I know there's a variable deposit. Their card reader took so long to read my Amex that it flagged my bank and I had to explain to them that yes I was renting a car. So I ran my debit card instead. Heavy accent wanted my social for that. No thanks. The process was such a nightmare for someone in an emergency situation. I took another Uber to the Ontario airport and rented with Enterprise. It was far, and costly for an Uber, but the process was quicker, friendlier and COMPETENT. I was in and out of the rental lot in 10 mins with a car and my functioning Amex. read more

This is the worst service I have every had in my rental car experience! They tried to charge me extra on my credit car. They stated its there policy that you have to bring the rental car back with gas past the full line. There policy says to bring it back full not past the full line. Really! read more

Not a good experience. Vehicle was only minimally cleaned (see pictures) and after I extended my reservation by one day, my rate went up for the entire four days by $12 a day! Then when I returned the vehicle with a full tank of gas, (and exactly where it was when I got in the vehicle), I was told that it wasn't full enough (see pictures) so I had to go out ONE GALLON (that's all it would take) in the vehicle to avoid some more charges. The customer service representative's comment to me was "Well you should have called us and told us it wasn't all the way full when you got in the vehicle." - Well, as you can see in the pictures, it was so close to full that it wasn't worth another phone call. I was really annoyed that I had to go waste 30 minutes of my time adding one gallon of gas so they didn't charge me $9.99 a gallon when the tank was full. This is why I took pictures too before I left with the vehicle. Not going back there again. Also, after seeing the unprofessional response from the company in the reviews below, I really won't be renting from them again. The owner's daughter, Rachel, smokes in their vehicles.. then rents them out to you. They also charge extra when you bring the car back smelling like smoke. And no, they do not clean the insides of their vehicles, because they want to charge you for it when you bring it back. The process was quick and easy. I had prepaid for the vehicle online, so when I showed up I just needed to give them my ID and CC. Once I signed over the documents and was told what I signing I was given the keys. They have signs posted as a reminder to return the car with a full tank of gas, maintain the car clean, etc. When we dropped off the car, they had someone go look at the car and once they called the representative that was helping me, I was given my receipt and a reminder that my deposit will be returned. Best prices!!! Everything else I searched up for was super expensive. I don't have a car right now and they definitely offered great deals!!! The day I had to return car I was running a bit late. WORST RENTAL COMPANY I rezerved a car for 2 weeks and prepaid for it. I did not need it anymore and when I asked to be canceled they told me i have to pay $150 cancellation fee. What is this crap. Pay $150 for sometjing I do not need? Also i cannot bring the car earlier amd if I do I will not get a refund for the remaining balance that I have. So you will charge for the full lenght of time, bring you the car back so you can rezerve it and get paid twice on the car? This is fraud and double dipping. Lets not talk about the 3 customer service reps that I talked to, rude and uncaring. This is the first and last time I use Avis for my rentals. I will make sure to tell my family and friends to never rent from Avis and I will also post it on social media how bad your company is and your policies. Don't go here! The first time I went here Everything went great. They didn't have the car I wanted and they accommodated me for that the second time the same thing happened. They didn't have the car I reserved told me I have to pay for an upgrade the. Told me she couldn't add my AAA discount on. This is not ok. Save your time, energy, and patience and go else where, where you the customer have to pay for their lack of ability to provide what they've allowed you to reserve. It is not the customers fault you are out of stock of a particular size car. They should accommodate the customer not the other way around. read more

MIGHT NOT HAVE YOUR CAR. My mother booked a car rental with this company three weeks in advanced. In those three weeks, my family and I planned, booked, and looked to a vacation that included flights, hotels, travel plans (you get the picture). And when she calls to check up on the rental (bless her over prepared heart) they tell her they will not know if there will be a car available until THREE DAYS before our trip/three days before the car was to be rented. They have moved to inside the mall. I've rented from them many times with no issues. Cars usually aren't perfectly clean but for the deal we are always happy with it( for example this particular rental had kid finger prints and smiley faces on the back windows when we picked up). Well we went to return our car this time and we're told that we needed to vacuum the dog hair out of the carpet or else we would be charged the $75 cleaning fee. Confused because there were never any animals in the car, we walked back out to the car to look. There were a few hairs from god knows where from just getting in and out of the car and using it. We walked back in and spoke with the manager that usually is great to us. Walked him out and he still stated we needed to clean it. We agreed and headed to the gas station in the same center. We paid the $1.50 for a 5 min vacuum limit next to the car wash. Within that 5 mins, everything was picked up off the carpet- no issues. We drove back to Budget/Avis. And they said it was good to go. A 5 min vacuum job.... that they should be doing anyways after each rental. It was very unprofessional. We always treat our rental cars with respect. Other than there being some foot debris where people got in and out of the car... it was spotless! I am paying to useeeee the car, that comes with the basic cleaning it afterwards from the usage. Disappointed in the service of this. Giving 2 stars due to the good past service they have given us, but this one just really stuck with us. read more

I will never rent from them again. They don't tell you that if the car has a LITTLE DUST on it when you bring it back, they will charge $100.00! No other car rentals do that. The Indian owner was not nice, and complained about why the car wasn't washed. He is also not nice to women, as those men are like that from that country. I am a single mom with 2 little ones, working full time, and the car only had normal dust on it. Even the inside had just normal usage. The car reeked of cigarette smoke, when I had said nonsmoking car, and the smell never went away after 2 weeks. Again, Not a nice man at all. Do not rent a car from there. I been coming to this Avis/Budget for years. I don't like the customer service but I continue to come to this location because it is convenient. All the employees are rude including the manager (Indian guy). I watched him upgrade the customer that was before me. When he pulled up my reservation it was, "oh I don't have that vehicle and since you booked it thru a third party I didn't have a phone number to reach you" he use that line all the time!! Why you couldn't accommodate me and upgrade me like you did the last customer? I gave him my phone number. He said he should be expecting a car to return in about a hour. NEVER received a call! One of the lady employees hung up in my face. I rather go to the Avis/Budget in Riverside on Magnolia. They were so attentive and customer service was great. They even upgraded me when they did not have my vehicle with no additional charge. This place inside the Moreno Valley Mall needs to be close down or need new management. read more

I had to call him out on several lies. One example was, he said he had called me on a Passenger Van I had a reservation on. If I could give this location 0 stars I would. I rented an SUV from them and when the owner (Indian guy with missing teeth) took me outside to take a look at the vehicle first impression off the bat the car was dirty! Not just on the outside but the inside as well. Spilled soda old food between the seats and I let him know hey this car is dirty there's soda spilled everywhere can I get a different car? He became so rude! Telling me that they won't have a car ready until 4pm by the way this was at 10am. I'm looking at 3 SUV's you can't tell me you can't just quickly clean it and hand it to me but then again they didn't clean the car that was given to me. After he had me verify the gas. IT WAS A 3/4 OF A TANK!! I let him know he looked himself and then noted it on the paperwork with some bull crap "code". Whatever I was on a time crunch. Once I brought the car back the little girl working there with the damn AirPods in her ear was completely rude! Telling me the car isn't full and that's when I explained everything and pointed at the BS code that was on the paperwork and go figure that code meant that it was slightly under full. I asked to speak to the manager and she told me he's off that it was the Indian guy and he's also the owner. Of course he was right!! She began being rude as I asked to speak to him and once she called him he played dumb as well! The girl was being very rude, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional! You should be dressing and presenting yourself professionally. Not AirPods in your ear with a T-shirt and sneakers. I was upset and over it that I left and filled the car a bit more. As I left another customer walked out and approached me saying that she shouldn't be yelling at me calling me a liar in front of other clients that it looks unprofessional and I should report it to corporate. I eventually contacted corporate because I rent cars every once in a while from Avis but from now on I'm going to enterprise. They are much more professional than this establishment and I've never had an issue. read more
