I drove about an hour just to get away from a terrible experience at the Redlands branch, where I was treated very poorly and left completely dismissed. Making that drive to Moreno Valley was the best decision I could have made. Jordan handled my rental with absolute professionalism, courtesy, and speed. He didn't make me feel like just another transaction; he treated me with respect and got me squared away in no time. I was seriously impressed by how quickly I got in and out, especially considering the high standard of care they maintained throughout. The Moreno Valley branch sets the gold standard for how customer service should be done. It's a shame other locations don't operate with this level of integrity and hospitality. My experience here was so horrible it prompted me to write my first Yelp review. Background - if given the choice, I would always pick Enterprise car rental. They've always shown great customer service and problem solving when rentals go awry. This would have been my first rental from this Enterprise location. I reserved a vehicle at 9:15 am this past Wednesday to pick up at 6pm due to a emergency car repair. I show up to pick up my rental at 5pm and the clerk took my name down as it was busy with a line. My boyfriend had to park across the street due to the lack of parking on site. The clerk called me to the counter 40 minutes later at 5:40 to tell me that they do not have a rental for me. By this point, I had been sitting for 40 minutes - listening to how one customer actually had their rental reserved at a different enterprise location by their insurance, and how another customer was supposed to return their rental but requested to extend. Both were provided vehicles. That was excellent service for those customers. However, for myself, who had a reservation confirmation, I was out of luck. I cannot comprehend how an establishment simply does not honor a reservation with prior confirmation number. People who look to car rentals do so for a reason, whether it be a vacation, emergency vehicle repairs etc. My problem was the latter and I needed a vehicle while mine was at the shop after breaking down. A simple call hours earlier would have prompted me to make alternative plans to obtain a rental. The clerk said he was too busy to make a call. If no vehicles are available, I shouldn't have even been given the option to make an online reservation, period. I rushed here straight after work to get a rental as we now only have 1 car to get to work at 2 different hospitals. Needless to say - I was SOL. It was 545pm and needed a rental for the next day to get to work. Luckily the rental agency at the mall was still open. We rushed over, made it in the dooor 5 minutes before closing. I apologized profusely as I know they're just getting ready to leave. The clerk at Avis was gracious and got me a rental. We were in and out in 10 minutes. In all the chaos, she saved the day. I recommend that Enterprise fix their online booking system to not allow customers to book a rental if no rental is available. Also, the clerk suggested that I drive to the other riverside location to inquire if a rental is available when I already had a confirmation number to this location. It's 545pm - both locations close at 6pm. Maybe he should have suggested that alternative to those customers who do not have a confirmation number. A simple call would have prompted me to make alternative plans earlier in the day. He also could have told me up front when he took my name down rather than having me wait an additional 40 minutes to break the news. This event added to the choas of an already stressful situation. His consolation was that they "try to accommodate same day reservations." Just don't allow for the reservation to be made in the first place. It's as simple as that. Same day, or a month before - a reservation confirmation is a confirmation. I would fully expect services to be rendered. read more

Great place to rent a car but the space is SMALL and when the driveway fills up there's no place to park!! Also waiting an hour to get the car is ridiculous!!! Second time I've had to wait so long to pick up a car! Over an HOUR!!! Will probably look into renting from the place near UC Riverside since this place doesn't seem organized at all. We called ahead to set up a time later in the day to pick a car up. When we arrived we were told that because of the holidays they were out of cars and would have to get one from another location. Even though we were told this, at that time their tiny lot was completely full of cars to the extent that they were having difficulty moving them around. We ended up waiting an hour and a half for a car to arrive. The office was very cold - employees said they have no control over the temp. The whole time we were waiting, other customers were coming in to complain about their rentals and fighting extra charges they had received. When the car they were bringing finally arrived they said they needed to clean it. They gave it to us soaking wet still and smelled like marijuana smoke inside. Rented car for one day. Left some things in car. Called Saturday was routed to the main branch. Someone will call you back. Went there Sunday. Waited over hour for them to find a box. The other items were not found. Yet they were in the same place. The backseat. Called no less than 6 times, no one knows anything. Most of the time I was speaking with the what they call customer service. The last guy at customer service was rude to the extreme. Stated no one wanted my items but yet I do not have them. Some cars go out without being checked. Someone else could have rented it and taken the things. Wow. Really the cars are not cleaned before being rented to the next person? IM STILL RECOVERING FROM THE HORRIBLE TREATMENT I RECEIVED! 1 star is overrated. I should rate ZERO. I made a reservation yesterday for a last minute trip and when I arrived there a podium outside with no nobody there to assist us. I saw about 5 staff members indoors with the AC blasting as the line got longer and longer. We were standing in 103 degree weather. A very inexperienced agent assisted us and for some reason the prices were incongruent with what's advertised online. She ran my card for an unauthorized total. The agent kept leaving us to go inside because she was confused by the pricing and the cars available- so many other confusing scenarios. She called for help when she couldn't answer questions. A really really distracted and rude employee NAMED "ASHLEY" came out and she seemed more confused than the first. It's still hot and they're handling my payment method in and out of the office without my permission. Cannot tell me what the fees are for. This is my private financial data that I feel has been compromised. My debit card was charged $700 and I still had not been placed in a vehicle. The first girl continued to assist others and my partner and I were still waiting for information and an explanation of why we couldn't get a rental car. The second agent ASHLEY began taking a personal phone call from "Papi " while "helping" us. She said it was a work call. Was this her manager? Please investigate. The other customers in line were also appalled. She went inside got a manager and left walking off her shift. WE HAVE VIDEOS! We were told that she had a "family emergency" - as a fraud investigator- this is super suspicious. I really thought I was being punked. Not only has my payment info been used without my permission but the Manager came outside confused and asking for ME to explain everything to him. I would like to get an understanding from a corporate representative about the policies prohibiting servicing me as a queer- black person. The manager was so confused and untrained, that he sent me away, refused to service us - we were super patient and understanding....I am speaking to my attorney to understand why we were discriminated against. I'm from LOS ANGELES and just moved to the area 2 days ago. Is this the culture of enterprise now!!!??? I have been a long-standing customer. And have never experienced this. I also had a family member who worked for the company and frequently rented, and am privy to the policies and procedures. Please get back to me ASAP! First, the car smelled...bad. A mixture of BO and weed. Apparently it was the better smelling car out of their few options. Red flag number 1. We brought the car home last night and parked it on our driveway, upon moving the car, we noticed that it had been dripping oil. We thought, well maybe they just didn't cap off tight enough after changing the oil. Nope. Not even an hour into our trip, the check oil light went on. Now we are on the road, scrambling to find another enterprise open at 6AM, to switch out this disgusting, unkempt vehicle. Do they not take pride in their business? Nissan forgot to return the car to enterprise after I Used it for 2 days when they promised to deliver it back to enterprise. So Since they forgot to return to enterprise the rental car sat at the Nissan dealer for like 1 extra week and of corse they billed me for it. And don't think Nissan didn't hear it from me. Ok so this place does a pretty good job being short staffed. The staff there are friendly and efficient but what's hurting them is being short. I'd probably give them 5 stars but trying to get a hold of them over the phone is impossible. I once called 7 times in a row and no answer which is very frustrating. Rather than getting a quick thing done over the phone I had to drive there to extend my rental. But overall to be fair they make the most of what they got, can't imagine being short, especially in Moval (my rental smelled strongly of herb when I first got it). He was Professional, kind, and wasn't afraid to admit he was new and still learning! Still yet rented me the car flawlessly in great condition rode amazing! It was so good I left it with a half tank of 91 and a fresh wash! The whole staff looked professional and very kind the lovely representative (that I didn't get the name of) (but of Asian descent) helped me with a smooth check in with a beautiful smile .
