Therefore the reservation has been canceled. On day two, I call the reservation number, talk to a representative, explain yesterday's situation, and ask that he double check availability. He double checks and assures me that there will be a car for me. I ask him to triple check because yesterday's experience cannot be repeated. He assures me that he has triple checked. I take my Uber to the location and am told that there are no cars to rent. I call the reservation line and tell the representative my story. He kisses my boo-boo and tells me it will be taken care of. Meanwhile, the personnel actually standing before me are less optimistic. There's always a perfectly logical explanation for how I am getting repeatedly shucked here. "It's our system" or what-the-heck ever. Either way I remain thoroughly and totally shucked, having paid for a ride TWICE. At this point I am editing my original review... Well, it actually is the Enterprise system. Maybe they're a little too flexible on return dates and times. This is what leads to showing up to no cars available. I finally wound up with a car. I even extended my rental by one day with no hassle. But there has to be a better system. The stress was unnecessary but I didn't have to walk. So I raised the review from one to three stars.

A couple of weeks ago a friend of ours hit our car and because of that we needed a rental for a week while it was in the shop being repaired. I have never rented a car before so it was all very new to me. Philip was the first person that I spoke to, very professional and very sensitive to my needs and my family's needs. The night before I was supposed to pick up the car Philip called and explained to me that the van I had rented for the week had been in a car accident and would I take a Tahoe, brand-new, instead at the same price. Of course I would! Who wouldn't? It was an exceptionally nice ride and for that price! for eight days! I was very impressed. I was also worried about how I was gonna get back and forth to the body shop and Enterprise while trying to swap between vehicles, but he sent a fella named Sean to help us out and give us rides to and from the body shop both days! Very professional and very kind and patient!! I returned the Tahoe, thanked them for their service and went about my business. Not even a week later I took my van into get an oil change and pieces of the engine fell apart right in front of the mechanic and I found myself needing a rental once again. I called Phillip and he immediately Took care of me and put me in a nice little Toyota Corolla for a mere $52 including insurance. After I got in the car and crunk it up I noticed a lingering cigarette smell coming from the air conditioner vent, normally I would not have a problem with this, I don't like it, but I could deal, especially since he took such good care of me, and he can't control what people do in these rentals and I understand that. I definitely did not want to be a huge burden. Because of my daughters allergies though, I had to for the better sake of her health call him back and ask if we could swap vehicles. Without hesitation Phillip said "of course, come on back and we will get ya swapped out." I am VERY pleased. Needless to say, Phillip and Sean at enterprise will be my go-to car rental place from here on out! Thankful to have found them! I hope this helps and I wish more people would rate these places. We were charged a $200 cleaning fee because the attendant found a tiny amount of dog hair in the vehicle. As any dog owner (especially of dogs who shed even more when the seasons change) can attest, a certain amount of dog hair follows you around even when your dogs aren't present. Our dogs were never in the vehicle (even though we weren't notified that dogs weren't allowed until we picked up the vehicle) but dog hair was present on some level on our clothes, luggage, etc. so it's not surprising that a small amount of hair was found in the car. While we would have been happy to spend five minutes vacuuming the car ourselves if we'd known this location was so unreasonable, the trace amount of dog hair (in an otherwise super clean vehicle) would not have added any additional time to the standard vehicle cleaning/check-in process. That makes it even more difficult for me to believe their policy is to charge a customer these outrageous fees without any negligence.

We had been a few times and thought it'd be nice to see what it's like to see it on a golf cart. You're very limited on the golf cart, mainly just to roads and parking lots. You can't go down trails and they shut a lot of things off to the carts. The golf carts can only go about 25 miles and you have to find charging stations (which barely charge)!around the island. There is an app though. Arguably the worst part was the sound of the golf cart. It's super loud and annoying, especially when you're trying to enjoy the sights. If you want to see the island, do it by bicycle! It's a decent amount of riding, but it's a much better experience.
