The tour departed from the docks at Skippers Fish Camp and headed east to Fort King George. Paul shared the history of the river and Fort King George. I saw a bald eagles nest and two eagles. We also had friends coming in town via the Jacksonville Airport and needed a shuttle service from Jax to St. Simons Island. We did a lot of searching on the Internet and made calls to the limited companies available in the area and chose Island Premier Transport. Not only did we find out they serve St. Simons, Sea Island, Jekyll Island and Brunswick, but that they also offered Airport Transportation to and from the Jacksonville International Airport. It was great to find a company that could serve our needs in both Jacksonville and the Golden Isle area! Jim Risi worked with us over the phone, kept in touch via email and even met us in person to load up the van with goodies before being picked up later that night for our surprise outing. Our driver, Chuck, was professional, courteous, helpful and flexible. He went out of his way to help us while we unloaded and loaded things at a very dark beach. After the beach, some of us wanted to go dancing, so after dropping us off at a club, he took the others home and then came back for us. We were more than delighted with the van and couldn't have been happier with the service. Oh and their pricing was the most affordable. We will be using them again!

The pool chairs do have a lot of bird poop on them, which is unfortunate, and parking can be super difficult. These are the only things keeping this from a perfect 5 star stay!

The tour had about 30 of us hopefuls and wow -it did not disappoint! Everyone knows there's no guarantee on a tour like this, but you always hope for the best. Our crew of two gave us some nice historical information about the island and great geographical info about the tides and how the island shore is changing. Then we started to spot the dolphins. Two over here, three that way, a pod in front-so exciting! We were able to see dozens of these beautiful creatures and some very close to the boat. Laundry facilities are spacious and very well kept. Front desk people are either really nice and healthful (3 of them )or else you get the grumpy one they could care less that you are there.
