Late 40's here and I have the best childhood memories of visiting Dr. Biederman. Can't believe she's still practicing, good for her. She used to look in my ears with the otoscope and say she was looking for Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck in there but didn't see them. Not sure if that was for me since I loved them or if all kids got that. It's sad to see that a couple of overly entitled moms feel the need to trash this great doctor on Yelp because she has long nails or because a kid had bad genes passed down to them with a poor immune system. read more

After looking at the pictures again, I changed my mind and decided to post the pictures. how does a pediatrician have super long painted nails(no offense against long pretty nails) but is not gentle and scratches the face of a 2 day old baby and then has no apologies. I should have left this review a long time ago, but at that time there were no internet reviews websites available like Google or Yelp and I could not share the painful feelings that are still here with me for this doctor. Many years ago my daughter was a patient of Dr. Aviva Biederman that came recommended by my gynecologist. She was born at Cedars Sinai hospital. Right after the birth, she developed the first signs of Staph infection that became known in 1960 as MRSA if not treated correctly. She had her pamper area fully covered with red patches, boils. I wish I knew then what I know now. Dr. Biederman did not do any testing for the reasons of this terrible condition that my month daughter was in. I left this office for the lack of compassion on her part, the long wait for her in the room, and the time she spent with the patient were just a fraction. Time passed and we found out that she developed MRSA that is still with her up until now, years later. Her immune system suffered due to this, and she has all kinds of problems. Had the doctor done research then and found out she had Staph infection, the antibiotic taken at the right time would have helped to prevent further infection and turn Staph into MRSA. Nowadays we need to be very educated and informed about everything in life it will help us to take good care of ourselves and our children. read more

The BEST pediatrician in town. No really- she was awarded the California Pediatrician of the Year award. I have a friend who is interning now, on her way to becoming a pediatrician herself, and she takes her kids to Dr.Biederman. She's fairly no-nonsense, but will make herself totally available if you have questions or concerns. My eldest is 7 and she's been there since day 1. Just about hour 1, actually: she checked in on us at the hospital. If you're looking, trust me, you've just found the name of the one you want. read more

Great pediatricians...all of them. Dr. Biederman was the one in the hospital when my twins were delivered...though I've had 20 minutes of interaction with her, she is the best, and always around the hospital (Cedars Sinai) b/c she's working with newborns. Dr. Ouchi is wonderful, warm yet direct. Dr. Miller is goofy and knowledgeable. The only drawback with Dr. Miller is he seems to have longer wait times, and finally, we've also seen a new doctor whose name I can't spell, but phonetically, it's Moo-e-so, and she's also on top of it. and one other drawback...not their fault...Cedars Medical Towers charges $18 to park. read more

Dr. Biederman and Dr. Miller have been our children's pediatricians since birth. They're very personable and knowledgeable as are the other doctors in their practice (Dr. Ouchi, Dr. Mouilleseaux), nurses and front desk staff. They are adept at handling insurance claims and always fit us in when we have an urgent request. The only issues are not of their making, but affect the experience. The parking is exorbitant. There was a public lot across the street, but it was re-zoned for private use only. So, if you can't hoof it over from Roberston, you are S.O.L. Last visit, I paid $18! Also,the elevators are sloooooooow. If you're able, take the stairs. It's much easier. read more

We see Dr. Ouchi here. She's great with children and is very gentle. She gives us pragmatic advice. Easy to make appointments, professional office, never any administrative problems here. Our child is almost 1 and she's been coming here since 3 months. We plan to stay with Dr. Ouchi. She has a few children herself, so it's very easy to relate. read more

Dr Aviva Biederman was not our regular doctor so it was the first time seeing her. She had long nails and scratched up our baby, careless handling, could not understand her accent, and she could care less if I understood what she was saying. She seemed to be in a hurry the whole time until I actually stopped her from talking and literally told her to slow down. This old lady should be retired and not handling your precious little ones. That's just our experience with her. Dr Miller on the other hand is a saint and one of the best ped Dr in this town. Sorry aviva but you should be more careful with little kids. We had to go in for another appointment for our newborn and I asked to speak with the office manager to discuss our experience. She listened but seemed either not to care or unwilling to acknowledge our terrible experience with Aviva. (Makes sense Aviva is her boss) So here I am trying to fix the problem and this office manager has no interest. Well, this is a problem. So we saw another doctor there , Dr Ochi who we've seen once before. She is like Dr Miller a professional, caring, on your level, and truly cares for kids. Dr Miller and Dr Ochi are really fantastic Pediatricians and I highly, HIGHLY, recommend them at this practice. The sole purpose of this review is to let other parents know of our bad experience with Dr Biederman. Dr. Biederman was my pediatrician as a child and I loved her and now she is seeing my son Logan. She even came to meet him at the hospital when he was born! We feel confident he is in good hands not only with her, but with all the nurses on staff as well. The wait is never too long and the office is clean and welcoming. read more

Dr Biederman is a business woman and doesn't care about if a child is safe getting toxic aluminum or mercury injected through vaccines to a small healthy baby as long as she gets her incentives per child from insurances (between $400-$500 nowadays) to keep a child on the CDC schedule of vaccines. If you refuse or even want to break them down she will see you as a loss and you need not to waste her time. She coerced me into not breaking down the vaccines and practically told me to leave and find another doctor. Thank G*d I did find other ethical doctors who are not sheep of the big business of the CDC which they don't inform about the hazards of injecting aluminum and mercury into a tiny healthy baby. read more

My two son's have been patients of Dr. Biederman and Dr. Miller for 12 years. Dr. Biederman and Dr. Miller have always been compassionate and professional physicians. HOWEVER, the staff is by far the most unprofessional, rude, unorganized and down right mean group of ladies I've encounter in many years. I came in with an urgent matter regarding my 6 year old son. I was told to wait to speak with Dr. Ouchi, fine I did. While waiting in the waiting room, the two woman at the front desk, gossiped about their boyfriends, chewed on potatoes chips and could not be in the slightest concerned with my issues. I finally left. I came back 30 minutes later, saw Dr. Ouchi walk by, as well the front office staff, so they were all there. I informed them that I was very concerned my son has come down with chickenpox and could they check my son's vaccination records. They told me no, they were at lunch. I asked if I could have one or two minutes with the doctor, they told me she was too busy to speak with me. Too busy to speak with me and look at the photo I had brought in to discuss with the practice. Never was I disregarded like this while Dr. Biederman was the head of this practice. I work at Cedars and manage several office and over 50 employees. If my staff ever talked or treated our patients in this unprofessional manner, well they would continue to work for this medical practice. It was shocking. This was not a trivial matter. I will certainly be finding a new Pediatrician for my young children and I will not be referring any of my friends to this practice. Very very upsetting experience. I would give this practice a -5 stars after today's experience but Yelp doesn't give this option. read more

Probably one of the hardest/difficult things to do is find a pediatrician. Dr. Biederman's office is the best around. We don't live close but we have been to others and the service and professionalism and above all knowledge is the best I've seen. I haven't met all the doctors that work in the office but we started with Dr. Biederman (when the kids were born) and then as they got older we are now with Dr. Ouchi. Our kids have also been treated by Dr. Miller. What can I say but they are all outstanding in what they do and show it. The office staff is extremely nice and understanding and will get you in for an unexpected visit the best they can. We are so blessed to have Dr Biederman for are daughter. She's the most kind, educated and thoughtful physician. She listens to your every word and remembers every visit. She is very informative and willing to go above and beyond in providing needed information for you and your baby. She has helped my husband and I from sleep training tips to feeding baby solids for the first time and many other areas that were new to us as first time parents. We are so happy with this office and Dr. Ouchi! She is our baby's pediatrician and she has been amazing. She came to the hospital the day the baby was born and has continued to be our favorite doctor. The baby seems to really love her too. She listens to all our questions, some of the even silly, and she has the best advice. There were even a few time we left messages after hours and she was so quick to return the calls, even during the weekends. She is so patient and gives us plenty of time at each visit to ask our questions and go through everything. Highly recommend her and the entire office. read more

LOOOOOOOVE this practice. The doctors are personable, responsive, knowledgeable. The staff is kind and gentle. Their after-hours accessibility is fantastic. I don't know why anyone would bring their children elsewhere. Dr. Biederman is amazing with children!! I really think that Gail G. says it all in her review! Feeding, sleep training, potty training, new sibling, and starting school are all of the many areas that Dr. Biederman has helped our family with. She is very caring and always listened to my concerns. Both of my kids have been in her care from a young age. My daughter started seeing Dr. Biederman at the age of 6 months, she is now 3 1/2 and my son since birth he is now 8 months. They both love her and my daughter still asks for her every time I tell her we need to go to the doctor. She would still be our pediatrician if we hadn't moved back to orange county. The office staff is great too, always very helpful. Nurse Wendy is great with the kids. It's not easy to write a negative review (this being my first) but, my husband and I were so disappointed with the service we received from Dr. Ouchi and the staff at this office that, we felt we ought to document our experiences for the benefit of parents seeking an LA Pediatrician. I received emergency Medi-Cal insurance 12 weeks into my first pregnancy. At the suggestion of my OBGYN, we decided to seek private insurance for our unborn child. My husband was covered under Blue Anthem at the time so, we decided to add her to his policy. We were told over the phone by two different representatives to call Blue Anthem again, on the day she was born, to add her to the policy (and that it couldn't be done any sooner). The next month we made an appointment to meet with Dr. Ouchi. She had privileges at Cedars Sinai (where I was to deliver) and excellent peer and patient reviews. When we met with her, two months before the baby was due, she was agreeable and attentive. We left the office feeling confident with our choice of Pediatrician. When I checked into the hospital to deliver, I nominated Dr. Ouchi as our Pediatrician (as planned). We were informed by staff, Dr. Ouchi would be called to examine and discharge our daughter from hospital. The day our daughter was born, my huband called Blue Anthem to add her to his policy. The next day the hospital staff put my husband on the phone with Dr. Ouchi. She asked him to verify our daughter was covered by Blue Anthem. My husband immediately called Blue Anthem. After speaking with a customer service supervisor we learned Blue Anthem would only cover her from the middle of the following month. We had been misled time and time again by customer service representatives, who insisted she would be covered immediately from birth. No sooner had he hung up the phone when Dr. Ouchi appeared in our recovery room. She told us she wouldn't be able to discharge our daughter, then she listened to her heart and felt her abdomen. A nurse pointed out, the hospital would assign a Pediatrician on staff to examine and discharge our daughter the following day. We thanked Dr. Ouchi for stopping by even though we couldn't make her our Pediatrician. We simply couldn't afford her services without insurance. Two months later we received a bill from Aviva D Biederman MD Inc for Dr. Ouchi's "visit" in the amount of $350!!! We have tried SIX times to contact Dr. Ouchi regarding this matter. We haven't been able to get through to her and she has yet to return our calls! The staff continue to take our messages but, won't act on our request. Rather than hear from a collections agency, I paid the bill. $350 may not seem like a lot of money to many LA parents but, to a young family, it is. Aside from the questionable ethics of Doctors at this office, I'd be concerned as a parent that I couldn't reach my Pediatrician by phone! read more

Dr. Richard Miller may be a nice guy but the staff is unbelievably dismissive. They are one of the only offices to charge for Immunization records. All parents need copies of these records but if you can't pay up guess what no record and how can you enroll your child in school. They were completely unsympathetic to the plight of a single mother struggling to make ends meet and unable to pay. The reason for this charge, and I quote, "office policy." Since you have to deal with the staff more than the doctors, I say stay away from this office. read more

No doubt the best pediatricians! Dr. Ouchi is by far the best. She's an attending MD. Although she's not in on Mondays nor Fridays so I do work around schedule to make sure the lil ones are seen by her. If by any chance she's unavailable, Dr. Miller is also great with kids. The pediatricians and staff are more than happy to assist. They are all very personable. This is the most awesome pediatric office in town. I only wish Dr. Ouchi treated adults as well, I'd definitely have her as my primary physician!!! read more

Dr. Ouchi has been our pediatrician for two years now. She is direct and to the point, gives good advice, and is gentle with our daughter. We have seen Dr. Miller on a few occasions when she was not in (she's off on Mondays and Fridays) and he was great too. We love this office, staff members are sweet, they remind you of your appt the day before, and seem quite organized. They don't do email but if you call the on-call doctor, they call you back right away. Highly recommend! read more

I have no idea what that review is about her STAFF being rude. They are a busy office, and answer their phones right away, so they will ask to put you on hold. In fact, I now look for a good pediatrician that also has a reception desk as GOOD as Dr. Biederman's office! I almost left her office because I was looking for a M.D. who was more personable(only because I came from another Dr. that was very entertaining w/my kids), but stayed because I love her staff. BUT, I came to appreciate Dr. Biederman as well as Dr. Miller, and Dr. Ouchi. They make a great team. Dr. Biederman is your standard Dr. personality. She is caring and gentle, but competent and to the point. If you want more, (like I thought I did), then you're not looking for a doctor. I will say that Dr. Biederman pushes antibiotics more than Dr. Ouchi, so you may want to go w/ the latter if that is your concern. Also, I can make same day/emergency appointments. read more

I just left a message with the front desk because I had a question for Dr. Ouchi regarding my son. Less than 1 hour later she returned my call, answered my question, and eased my concerns. What a wonderful Dr. for new parents! The service and care she's provided our family the past 3 years has been top-notch. Great pediatrician, Dr. Miller and Ouchi are warm, wonderful doctores. However. low grade is due to their policy to charges for penalties.

total disrespect for the patients and parents' time...we wait over an hour and more every time we visit this office...they may be good doctors but they are the worst time managers....in fact their staff just laugh out loud when you ask "how much longer" read more
