Stopped in for a quick bite before heading to a show. Decided to check this place out. Food was decent, I thought mine needed a little more flavor, but he didn't mind his or mine, lol. The staff was really nice and helpful when asking what they recommended. We asked the young lady who was sweeping the dining area. The place is well lit with plenty of seating for dining in which we did. Prices are reasonable, but watch the screen when paying because they automatically add the 20% tip (you'll need to adjust accordingly). They do offer catering as well.

I loved that all the dishes were made with fresh ingredients. The ride bowl was the best value for portion. It made the salmon toast look dismal. The Chicken Philly was tasty and generously seasoned-- perhaps a bit too peppery for my liking. The tapari plates were unique-- leaves woven together with bamboo slivers. The service was good. We were offered free samples of avocado brownies and avocado cheesecake. The brownies were a bit sandy but the cheese cake was delightful. Definitely had more of a hint of avocado, but it was enjoyable. There are long tables and benches/chairs that accommodate larger groups. I like that there was ample seating for small and bigger groups. I thought the high wall on the counter was strange for the first thing you see when you go to order. It felt like the staff workers were barricaded in. The solid wall does not give a very welcoming or inviting feel. However, the rest of the decor was fun and interesting. The mural wall with spaces to put your face through and stickers were highlights for the kids.

We just wanted somewhere quick to eat before visiting Ryerson Preservation Area. Avocado Theory was nearby, and I do love an avocado toast, so we decided to give it a try. It wound up being such a pleasant surprise! First of all, the restaurant really ran with the avocado theme throughout, from the menu, to the salt shakers, and the merch for sale (including house made beauty products!). As soon as we walked in and started looking over the menu, we were immediately greeted and asked if we had any questions. The service we received remained pleasant and courteous throughout our dining experience. It was a beautiful day, so my husband and I ate outside on the small patio. This gave us the chance to enjoy Fat Rosie's energetic music from next door, along with the overall garden-like setting of the shopping center. I got the Tomato Basil Avocado Toast. It hit the spot, with the toast itself especially standing out - it was sourdough, either toasted on the grill or in like a panini press. I'm gonna have to start packing my own Tajin though, because I love it on my avocado toast, and although Avocado Theory actually had a wall of various hot sauces, I did not spy any Tajin (nor did I ask if it was available). My husband got the Avocado Peach Salad. The thin sliced peaches were delicately sweet, and overall this was a flavorful and filling salad. He noted that this is a seasonal special, so get it while it's fresh!

This was not good. Horrible after taste and think many reviews are family as the avocado toast we had was small white tea rounds with one tomato and avocado...dry and bland. Salad was a joke for what you pat. ZUPAS even better.

If you like avocado, this is the place to be! We tried the avocado egg rolls, chips and guacamole, and the signature avocado chicken panini. Service was great and the manager who greeted us was very friendly. We love that everything is very healthy and has good flavor. I'm looking forward to going back and sampling some of the other items on the menu.

Solid sweetgreen location, this one is conveniently near my workplace and delivers a reliable fresh…read morebowl at fairly reasonable prices. Of the different spots to get a healthy salad nearby like Panera and Cafe Zupas I'd say sweetgreen is probably the healthiest though it doesn't have as nice of seating as the other options, and a bit more limited selection of menu items as they focus on giving the freshest salads with quality sourced ingredients, but fewer options to choose from as a result. Fortunately, if going with friends that are looking for other options there's plenty of different restaurant options in this area of Deerfield. The bowls are filled pretty generously with a good amount of protein. Flavor combinations are good, probably the most savory feeling of the different similar concepts available. Service is quick and friendly, and prices are reasonable. Parking can be a challenge at times in this busy shopping center, so it's not a bad idea to get carryout outside of normal meal hours. Overall good choice if you're looking to eat healthy and tasty, without spending a ton of money for a filling meal.

I got the barbecue chicken salad while my husband had the harvest salad. Both salads were big and had lots of fresh ingredients. Everything was crisp and flavorful. I suggest getting the dressings on the side so that you can control the flavor. You could even see the ingredients being prepared. I enjoyed watching the greens they used being pulled off the branch. The salads were good but were too big to finish in one sitting. I hope that they add a half salad option to the menu. The servers were very nice and friendly. I will be returning to Sweetgreen.

We've driven by this restaurant SO many times and have yet to come by until now. What a fun…read moreexperience we had! When you pull up to the plaza you would think anything of the restaurant but when you go inside it's a fun colorful experience. When we were seated we were brought waters and menus. We took some time to look at the menus but ultimately took our server's suggestions on drinks. I ended up having a virgin Rose Colored Glasses drink and absolutely loved it. The drinks were large and I felt they were worth the price. My husband got an old fashioned. To start we got the cheese curds, and when I tell you these cheese curds still live rent free in my mind I kid you not. They were so good, the cheese was battered in a tempura batter with a truffle cream sauce and it made for such an incredible dish! For our entrees we got the pork chop with the brown butter sauces and bavette with a red wine reduction. The pork chop was great with the brown butter you just gotta make sure you mix it up, and the red wine was a bit too salty for me but it was okay because I ended up loving the steak by itself! For our sides we got the grilled zucchini under the snacks option instead of the sides option because I wanted all the fixings. It was a great choice! The fixings really made and I could eat a plate of that and just be happy (with the cheese curds of course). The wiped potatoes were great as well. Now I was going to pass on dessert because I was SO full already, but twist my arm when you tell me the cookie dough ice cream is a must try. It had real cookie dough chunks on top and bottle and the vanilla ice cream was not boring vanilla, I ate almost half of that bowl and couldn't stop. The chocolate chip cookie dough was house made and it was the perfect blend of sweet and salty that tied the whole ice cream bowl together. Can't recommend that enough as well. All in all, we had a great experience! It was so fun to see so many regulars and so many new folks who came in to dine at the same time as us and we all peeked to see who ordered what before we ordered and got some great recs as you can see! Can't wait to come back to enjoy my favorites and more!

Started with the bread and crabcakes and the bread was amazing and definitely fresh but the crabcakes needed more crab and flavor. Basically everything needed more flavor. We also ordered a bottle of wine which our server struggled with and never came over to refill the glasses. Then the entree's; my husband's bolognese was bland and desperately needed at least salt and pepper. Then the real problem was my steak which was supposed to be medium came out well done and then classically when it was recooked came out rare or medium rare if you are being generous. Then the waitress said she would check back and she didn't so I had to get salt myself from the server station which is kinda ridiculous especially when paying $54 for a steak that already has no seasoning which is why they offer free sauces which makes a lot of sense now. When she finally did come back I said it was under but not waiting for it to be overcooked again so reheating it at home with the cold side of mushrooms I ordered WITH my steak. I did talk to the manager after and he was not really helpful or sympathetic and I was really talking to him so in my review I could say well at least management cares but that is not the case here. I gave 2 stars because their drinks are good and the ambiance is nice and the hostess was super friendly and was the star employee after our visit. Also we paid for everything even the cold mushrooms and over/under cooked steak! At minimum also remake my mushrooms or comp them. Would I eat here again hopefully not but it is locationally desirable for me and my in-laws and have lots of GF options so might have to and if I do hopefully they will have made things better.

Since then, we have happily added Drop the Bop to our takeout rotation list. What is so amazing is, both our daughter and myself are not into salads or veggies, and each time we pick Drop the Bop is like a small miracle. There has never been a bowl of fast food made of fresh veggies and meats and rice that tastes so great, and make us feel so good after eating it, but Drop the Bop does it! My husband and daughter picked the All-In bowls from the Yelp experience, and I had the build-a-bowl. Since then, we have been purchasing the All-In bowls every time. All the different ingredients are so fresh and delicious, they contribute to make a complex tapestry of tastes and textures, but all work together harmoniously. We always pick the black rice that has similar texture to sushi rice, that tastes fantastically and holds everything well together. Hubby and Daughter like the carpaccio sauce the best, that is light and not overpowering, while I favor the Yum Yum sauce as it is just yummy! We all like the seaweed soup that is delicious and not too salty. Drop the Bop is a hidden gem in Lincolnshire. Phillip, the young owner, always works so hard and is very resourceful. He teamed up with Yelp to introduce the small business to us Yelpers was a great idea. If you collect AA miles, Drop the Bop also helps you add more miles each time you purchase with your designated credit card. He even comes up with buy 10 get 1 free to encourage you to keep coming back. For us, just their bowls are good enough to make us keep returning. I hope they will keep doing well and growing forever.

Since we were introduced to Drop the Bop two years ago via a Yelp Community Experience, we have been returning from time to time to get their bowls. Each bowl contains bop (rice) with your choices of veggies and meats similar to Korean bibimbap! What makes DTB stands out from other businesses is that their ingredients are consistently very fresh, the bowls are delicious with generous portions. They offer the most healthy and delicious fast food that our family love! We love their All-In bowls that contain every veggie and meat that you can think of, and we choose black rice instead of white rice as the yummy base. I usually pick the Carpaccio sauce (out of 8 different sauces) on the side, which provides a "fresh citrus taste combined with olive oil and a hint of jalapeño and black pepper" that has a nice kick to the bowl. I always pick the seaweed soup over miso soup as well. Phillip, who is the very friendly owner of DTB, seems to be always working there. I saw him every time I went to pick up our orders. Funny thing was that he gave me a punch card that offered buy 10 bowls get one for free. I have misplaced several of those cards. Phillip said that I could combine several of those cards to get a free bowl once the total slots punched add to 10. It would be OK with me that I never find all my cards to get that offer. To me, the bowls at DTB is worth every penny, and I don't mind paying full price for each one of them.
