Stopped in for a quick bite before heading to a show. Decided to check this place out. Food was decent, I thought mine needed a little more flavor, but he didn't mind his or mine, lol. The staff was really nice and helpful when asking what they recommended. We asked the young lady who was sweeping the dining area. The place is well lit with plenty of seating for dining in which we did. Prices are reasonable, but watch the screen when paying because they automatically add the 20% tip (you'll need to adjust accordingly). They do offer catering as well.

I loved that all the dishes were made with fresh ingredients. The ride bowl was the best value for portion. It made the salmon toast look dismal. The Chicken Philly was tasty and generously seasoned-- perhaps a bit too peppery for my liking. The tapari plates were unique-- leaves woven together with bamboo slivers. The service was good. We were offered free samples of avocado brownies and avocado cheesecake. The brownies were a bit sandy but the cheese cake was delightful. Definitely had more of a hint of avocado, but it was enjoyable. There are long tables and benches/chairs that accommodate larger groups. I like that there was ample seating for small and bigger groups. I thought the high wall on the counter was strange for the first thing you see when you go to order. It felt like the staff workers were barricaded in. The solid wall does not give a very welcoming or inviting feel. However, the rest of the decor was fun and interesting. The mural wall with spaces to put your face through and stickers were highlights for the kids.

We just wanted somewhere quick to eat before visiting Ryerson Preservation Area. Avocado Theory was nearby, and I do love an avocado toast, so we decided to give it a try. It wound up being such a pleasant surprise! First of all, the restaurant really ran with the avocado theme throughout, from the menu, to the salt shakers, and the merch for sale (including house made beauty products!). As soon as we walked in and started looking over the menu, we were immediately greeted and asked if we had any questions. The service we received remained pleasant and courteous throughout our dining experience. It was a beautiful day, so my husband and I ate outside on the small patio. This gave us the chance to enjoy Fat Rosie's energetic music from next door, along with the overall garden-like setting of the shopping center. I got the Tomato Basil Avocado Toast. It hit the spot, with the toast itself especially standing out - it was sourdough, either toasted on the grill or in like a panini press. I'm gonna have to start packing my own Tajin though, because I love it on my avocado toast, and although Avocado Theory actually had a wall of various hot sauces, I did not spy any Tajin (nor did I ask if it was available). My husband got the Avocado Peach Salad. The thin sliced peaches were delicately sweet, and overall this was a flavorful and filling salad. He noted that this is a seasonal special, so get it while it's fresh!

This was not good. Horrible after taste and think many reviews are family as the avocado toast we had was small white tea rounds with one tomato and avocado...dry and bland. Salad was a joke for what you pat. ZUPAS even better.

If you like avocado, this is the place to be! We tried the avocado egg rolls, chips and guacamole, and the signature avocado chicken panini. Service was great and the manager who greeted us was very friendly. We love that everything is very healthy and has good flavor. I'm looking forward to going back and sampling some of the other items on the menu.

Their Happy Hippy sandwich is very good. Can't wait to go back. Won't eat inside though; too loud for me and poor acoustics.

Not wanting to park far and walk far for the theater hubs and I decided to have dinner at Three Embers before the show. It was a great decision! Making reservations was easy through their website and making last minute changes was just as easy. Three Embers is located in the Marriott hotel. It was a larger, open space room with tables well spread apart and comfortable seating. We sat at a nice cozy table by the window. It was perfect for the 2 of us. I can imagine the view being stunning during the other seasons, but being January my view was of snow and more snow amid branches. We were quickly greeted by our server, Anna, who was warm and welcoming. We had bread and butter (delicious), served water right away, and another staff member switched out our table light for a brighter one that was fully powered. Anna took our drink order and gave us time to look over the menu. We started with the calamari which was delicious! It was perfectly fried with the calamari being nice and tender, complete with our favorite parts the tentacle ends, and well seasoned. Hubby ordered the porterhouse which as prepared spot on, medium rare! The fingerling potatoes were SO DELICIOUS!!! They were crispy, fluffy, tender, and such a good accompaniment to the steak! Honestly as a carb lover, I'd be happy with just a big plate of the crispy fingerling potatoes. The carrots were sweet and prepared just enough to be tender, but with a crunch. He appreciated that it wasn't boiled or steamed to death carrots. I ordered the Black and Bleu salad. It was a large portion salad, perfect for dinner without being heavy. The steak was prepared a medium rare and topped with delicate crispy fried onion strings. Everything in the salad worked so well together making it a nice cohesive entree. The really enjoyed the grilled corn in the salad! The dressing was a light dressing and had a hint of sweetness, but not overpowering the flavors. Unfortunately my steak was a bit on the fatty and gristly side so quite a bit had to be discarded. This was the downside to the salad. Overall, the meal exceeded our expectations and didn't fit into what some would think of as "hotel restaurant food." The prices are on the higher side, but for some of the conveniences and location, it was worth it. The service was wonderful! Anna was attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and so sweet! We never felt rushed. She checked back after serving us each course to make sure everything was good and had perfect timing sensing when we needed our check to make the show. I can see why other Yelpers rave about having her as their server! I would certainly come back to Three Embers for dinner before a show. Parking was easy as we were there before the show, parked at the hotel and entered through the hotel. We walked from the restaurant to the theatre without ever having to step foot outside in the freezing single-digit temps.

The scallops were large and very fulfilling. The pickled fennel added much flavor to the dish overall, I was pleasantly pleased. The tostada had me wanting more, it was very fresh and a great started for the scallops. My husband ordered the bleu cheese steak, although he thought the portion of mashed potatoes were small, he was completely satisfied with the meal and said the steak was tender and delectable. Service was great, as attentive as could be and the food came quickly. It was an overall good experience. I was not expecting this from a resort restaurant.

We had a 7 o'clock reservation and did not get seated until almost 7:30 which happened to us when I ate here a year ago. The restaurant seemed extremely busy. However, they were extremely accommodating and apologized for seating us late. In addition, they sent over three appetizers for free because of the delay in seating us. That alone gets five stars from me. We had the tavern style pizza, which is only offered on Monday nights and it was delicious! The meatballs, fried cheese and salad was amazing as well! I recommend their creamy Italian dressing. It is delicious! They also brought over some bread and butter, and the butter had coarse salt mixed into it, which was unbelievable! I will definitely be returning!

It was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. Our server, Nathan, was exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. The manager also stopped by to check on us, which really showed how much they care about their guests. I've dined at much more expensive restaurants before, and I've honestly never experienced this level of hospitality. The food was incredible 10/10! Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The portions were generous, and I couldn't even finish my meal because there was so much delicious food. Overall, this was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. From the outstanding service to the beautiful ambiance and amazing food, everything exceeded our expectations. There is plenty of space in the entryway to stand around, though actual seating is limited. That being said, I can't recall ever having a horrible wait time if we came when it was busy. The hosts are good about getting people on the list and seating them at a reasonable pace. It's also pretty sweet to see the dessert counter at the front so you can see what treats they offer. As I stated previously, the inside looks nice and furnishing is well maintained. It definitely shows when they are rushed however, as the floors usually need to swept. The last time I went there was also crumbs on the napkin they placed on our table. The menus are big but they do have stuff for every palate to pick from. The free bread is alright, nothing too wild. The servers are always warm and welcoming, and very knowledgable of the menu. It can take a little while for the food to come out but it's worth the wait in my opinion. The crispy fried cheese is a little greasy, but quite tasty. It's a big portion but fulfilling for sure. The flatbread pizza was enjoyable as well, with a good crispy crust. My girlfriend also felt highly about the Teriyaki Salmon Bowl. She said it was quite flavorful and unique. We also agreed that the fries were a banger as well. Right amount of crispy and seasoning. For dessert, my go to is always the Oreo dream extreme cheesecake. 100% a must have for oreo lovers. Not too sweet but still hits well. So, a few minor kinks to work out but otherwise a worthwhile dining experience. Will always recommend as a good spot for comfort meals and family time, and great cheesecake.

The restaurant was spacious and absolutely beautiful! Since we were a party of 10, it took a while to gather orders but we started with some drinks and appetizers. My nephew and I decided on the Strawberry Spritz. It was refreshing and tasted like Summer in a glass, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We also ordered the Warm Crab Dip but we didn't care for it. It lacked any type of crab or seafood flavor and had a weird texture. We added salt/pepper and hot sauce and it still didn't taste good. As we waited for our entrees, we noticed how dirty our silverware was. My spoon was actually stuck to the napkin. Our server brought out more silverware but some of us just opted for plasticware. My Thai Lettuce Wraps were delicious, it's one of my "go-to" orders and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I tasted my mom's Shrimp & Chicken Gumbo. The chicken tasted like tofu and it didn't have any type of gumbo flavor, I didn't like it at all. My nephew ordered the Chilaquiles and I thought it was pretty good. Overall, we had a great time just being together to enjoy my dad but I wish we had a better experience. Our server wasn't very attentive and some of the food seemed to miss the mark.
