Excellent customer service. Anna was very attentive . Split the harvest salad was excellent.. ordered the duck breast my friend had the scallops . For dessert I had a chocolate torte was incredible . The chef walks around and asks how everything is. Very personal touch.

Weekend Breakfast Buffet was a good bargain in 2022 especially with coffee and juice included in the $20 price. Omelet Station was excellent. Sausage, Bacon, Oatmeal, Pasteries, Fresh Fruit was exactly what I was looking for at Hotel Buffet.

I discovered this new hidden gem last night, and what a great experience. I loved everything about it... Let's start with the space; they recently went through a whole hotel renovation, which included the two new restaurants, Three Embers and Wright's Brew. I loved the layout of the restaurants. It was an open area concept with an exposed kitchen. The interior was something along the lines of a high-end modern loft. What especially got me excited was the outside area, who doesn't love string lights, fresh air, water view, and bonfires to compliment your meal. Especially since our summers are so short, I always look for an excuse for outdoor dining. The food... amazing!! The food is so flavorful and delicious, presentation is on point and I love how they play around and bend your traditional ideas of the ingredients. I never knew you could pearl balsamic vinegar... what?! The veal dish came with crispy well-seasoned mushroom, I ate the whole thing and I don't even like mushrooms. In addition to the food being delicious, all the vegetables and honey is from their onsite garden and aviary, how amazing is that? They change the menu once a season depending on availability of the garden, always keeping things fresh and on our toes. They have 14 beehives on premise, which is the gold fuel the honey badger beer they brew and the ever so perfect honey butter for their salted table bread. UGH, sorry for drooling on my keyboard. The drinks were so good, the blueberry coconut lemonade which was refreshing and a light vacation in a glass. Some amazing dessert sorbet vodka drink that complimented the chocolate Pavé perfectly. BTW can I say that I love how we are bringing 'city' dining experience to the suburbs? Service was also great, quick, attentive and very friendly! I simply cannot wait to come back for a visit, and even check out the theater. I've heard great things! BTW can I say that I love how we are bringing 'city' dining experience to the suburbs?

Everything except the oatmeal on the breakfast was cold! At $23 it should not be this way.

There is plenty of space in the entryway to stand around, though actual seating is limited. That being said, I can't recall ever having a horrible wait time if we came when it was busy. The hosts are good about getting people on the list and seating them at a reasonable pace. It's also pretty sweet to see the dessert counter at the front so you can see what treats they offer. As I stated previously, the inside looks nice and furnishing is well maintained. It definitely shows when they are rushed however, as the floors usually need to swept. The last time I went there was also crumbs on the napkin they placed on our table. The menus are big but they do have stuff for every palate to pick from. The free bread is alright, nothing too wild. The servers are always warm and welcoming, and very knowledgable of the menu. It can take a little while for the food to come out but it's worth the wait in my opinion. The crispy fried cheese is a little greasy, but quite tasty. It's a big portion but fulfilling for sure. The flatbread pizza was enjoyable as well, with a good crispy crust. My girlfriend also felt highly about the Teriyaki Salmon Bowl. She said it was quite flavorful and unique. We also agreed that the fries were a banger as well. Right amount of crispy and seasoning. For dessert, my go to is always the Oreo dream extreme cheesecake. 100% a must have for oreo lovers. Not too sweet but still hits well. So, a few minor kinks to work out but otherwise a worthwhile dining experience. Will always recommend as a good spot for comfort meals and family time, and great cheesecake.

Thankfully,…read morewe decided to go as soon as they opened on a Saturday because they quickly put tables together for us, which we appreciated, and we were able to be seated right away. The restaurant was spacious and absolutely beautiful! Since we were a party of 10, it took a while to gather orders but we started with some drinks and appetizers. My nephew and I decided on the Strawberry Spritz. It was refreshing and tasted like Summer in a glass, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We also ordered the Warm Crab Dip but we didn't care for it. It lacked any type of crab or seafood flavor and had a weird texture. We added salt/pepper and hot sauce and it still didn't taste good. As we waited for our entrees, we noticed how dirty our silverware was. My spoon was actually stuck to the napkin. Our server brought out more silverware but some of us just opted for plasticware. My Thai Lettuce Wraps were delicious, it's one of my "go-to" orders and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I tasted my mom's Shrimp & Chicken Gumbo. The chicken tasted like tofu and it didn't have any type of gumbo flavor, I didn't like it at all. My nephew ordered the Chilaquiles and I thought it was pretty good. Overall, we had a great time just being together to enjoy my dad but I wish we had a better experience. Our server wasn't very attentive and some of the food seemed to miss the mark.

Not an extremely busy night, but what can you expect at a hotel lobby restaurant located on the outskirts of Chicago. Bartender was really nice and helpful when explaining what was the best options on the menu. Of course he went with the de facto answer of the brioche hamburger, which honestly any hamburger is going to sell me (Minus bad fast food joints). Got it with extra cheese and bacon and might as well kick it up with an extra side of fries. Service was fairly quick, my whole meal took about 15 minutes or less to come out the door. Burger was cooked to a medium rare, so that is always a plus when you get what you order in terms of how well done you want you meat in most restaurants. Fries were your average run of the mill frozen package style, not much taste, but decent enough to be consumed. Overall I'd rate it the following on a scale to 1-5. Keep in mind as well that this hotel is somewhat secluded from other restaurants in the area due to its remoteness. Service - 4 Food - 3.5 Price - 3

When you pull up to the plaza you would think anything of the restaurant but when you go inside it's a fun colorful experience. When we were seated we were brought waters and menus. We took some time to look at the menus but ultimately took our server's suggestions on drinks. I ended up having a virgin Rose Colored Glasses drink and absolutely loved it. The drinks were large and I felt they were worth the price. My husband got an old fashioned. To start we got the cheese curds, and when I tell you these cheese curds still live rent free in my mind I kid you not. They were so good, the cheese was battered in a tempura batter with a truffle cream sauce and it made for such an incredible dish! For our entrees we got the pork chop with the brown butter sauces and bavette with a red wine reduction. The pork chop was great with the brown butter you just gotta make sure you mix it up, and the red wine was a bit too salty for me but it was okay because I ended up loving the steak by itself! For our sides we got the grilled zucchini under the snacks option instead of the sides option because I wanted all the fixings. It was a great choice! The fixings really made and I could eat a plate of that and just be happy (with the cheese curds of course). The wiped potatoes were great as well. Now I was going to pass on dessert because I was SO full already, but twist my arm when you tell me the cookie dough ice cream is a must try. It had real cookie dough chunks on top and bottle and the vanilla ice cream was not boring vanilla, I ate almost half of that bowl and couldn't stop. The chocolate chip cookie dough was house made and it was the perfect blend of sweet and salty that tied the whole ice cream bowl together. Can't recommend that enough as well. All in all, we had a great experience! It was so fun to see so many regulars and so many new folks who came in to dine at the same time as us and we all peeked to see who ordered what before we ordered and got some great recs as you can see! Can't wait to come back to enjoy my favorites and more!

Started with the bread and crabcakes and the bread was amazing and definitely fresh but the crabcakes needed more crab and flavor. Basically everything needed more flavor. We also ordered a bottle of wine which our server struggled with and never came over to refill the glasses. Then the entree's; my husband's bolognese was bland and desperately needed at least salt and pepper. Then the real problem was my steak which was supposed to be medium came out well done and then classically when it was recooked came out rare or medium rare if you are being generous. Then the waitress said she would check back and she didn't so I had to get salt myself from the server station which is kinda ridiculous especially when paying $54 for a steak that already has no seasoning which is why they offer free sauces which makes a lot of sense now. When she finally did come back I said it was under but not waiting for it to be overcooked again so reheating it at home with the cold side of mushrooms I ordered WITH my steak. I did talk to the manager after and he was not really helpful or sympathetic and I was really talking to him so in my review I could say well at least management cares but that is not the case here. I gave 2 stars because their drinks are good and the ambiance is nice and the hostess was super friendly and was the star employee after our visit. Also we paid for everything even the cold mushrooms and over/under cooked steak! At minimum also remake my mushrooms or comp them. Would I eat here again hopefully not but it is locationally desirable for me and my in-laws and have lots of GF options so might have to and if I do hopefully they will have made things better.

Food is somewhat varied. It all fit on front and back of a long menu. Artichoke dip was great. Plenty of pita like bread. Main courses came to us quickly. I had a mushroom swiss burger and tator tots. Both tasted great! Pizza was completely finished. The shrimp appetizer was big enough for a small meal.
