Within a week of participating at the Yelp Experience at Just Salad, I already ordered from the Northbrook location again!  This officially set a record in my book that a newly added eatery in our rotation was so quickly re-visited!  It was all because I was so happy with my Yelp experience and wanted a simple and healthy late lunch for a weekday. I truly enjoyed the Peruvian Chicken Market Plate I got from the Yelp experience that was fresh and flavorful.  This time, although I went with a "build your own market plate" ($12.99), I basically used all the combinations from the Peruvian Chicken Market Plate except for substituting the plate's Cacique Grated Cotija, Roasted Corn, Overnight Pickled Onions with Roasted Buffalo Cauliflower and Kale Chickpea + Seed Salad. For BYO Market Plate, you get to select 1 base, 1 protein, 4 ingredients from curated sides (combos are 2 ingredients each), 1 garnish which is optional, and dressing that you can specify the amount such as medium. Again, the braised chicken was tender and tasty, all the ingredients were very fresh, and the whole meal flavorful and delicious.  Portion was large that I had leftovers.  Since it was such a healthy meal, I was not guilty getting an Andy's Amazing Chocolate Chunk Cookie ($1.49) which was gooey, comforting, and rich! Since I ordered online and had already paid, it was very quick and easy to pick up.  The eatery was bright, clean, and comfortable with a cheerful indoor mural of the town of Northbrook by the booths.  The place was pretty quiet at an off-peak time.  Staff were friendly and efficient. Just Salad offers not just salads, their extensive menu includes warm bowls, wraps, market plates, smoothies, and soups!  Prices are reasonable.  We are happy that  there's a Just Salad located so close to home!  We will sure keep returning to try other items on their menu! read more

Tried Just Salad and really enjoyed it! We got the Peruvian Chicken Market Plate and Tokyo Supergreens with chicken. The Peruvian Chicken Market Plate was definitely my favorite -- the chicken was tender and flavorful, and the rice, lentils, avocado, sweet potatoes, and roasted corn all complemented the meal so well. The chocolate chip cookie was the perfect sweet ending too! Service was fast and staff were really friendly. They have very limited amount of seating in the restaurant. May be hard to find a booth during lunch or dinner rush. read more

Conveniently located right off the highway, clean, and knowledgeable staff. They handled my gluten allergy with zero hesitation. Also huge plus, their menu on the website/app can be filtered by allergens, informing patrons which food items are safe. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and you can tell they take quality seriously. We ordered the Tokyo Super Greens with Chicken and the Peruvian Plate. Completely different flavors, but both were absolute 10/10 flavor bombs. I also really appreciated their reusable bowl program and overall focus on sustainability. It's nice seeing a restaurant genuinely trying to reduce waste instead of just talking about it. Between the salads, wraps, warm bowls, plates, and smoothies, there's something for everyone. Whoever was working the 4 PM shift on 4/28/26 delivered exceptional customer service. Even when the juice machine had a hiccup and a customer struggled with the ordering process, the team handled everything with patience, professionalism, and a great attitude. They worked together seamlessly, kept things moving, and still made sure my order was taken care of with care. That kind of teamwork and composure doesn't go unnoticed. This group deserves recognition from both management and the franchise owner. In 2026, it's rare to find service like this--let alone an entire team that represents a business so well. I was really excited to try this new Just Salad location, but this was honestly one of the worst takeout experiences I've had. I ordered a customized Mezze Crunch salad and paid extra for add-ons, and what I received was completely wrong and missing multiple ingredients. The salad was missing: chicken (which I paid extra for), feta, fresh lemon, hemp hearts, spicy harissa pita, kale, super greens, and pepperoncini. On top of that, they added WILTED spinach, which I did not request as I DO NOT LIKE IT. At that point, it wasn't even the same salad I ordered. It felt like I was given a completely different and incomplete meal. For nearly $19, this is unacceptable. If you're going to charge extra for ingredients, they should actually be included. If I had known the experience would be this bad, I would have just driven the extra ten minutes to Sweetgreen, which has never messed up my order. Really disappointing experience, especially for a brand-new location. I hope they improve their quality control because this was a waste of money. First time there and chicken was missing from my bowl. I drove back after arriving home. There is no telephone to call them, very frustrating. Typically when a restaurant makes a mistake they are genuinely apologetic. Vibe from people working there was not good except one young lady. Food was okay, maybe caught them on a bad day. I have been to their facility near Wayfair many times, and it has always been good. Since this location was closer to home, I decided to visit the Northbrook outlet. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Several ingredients were missing, and they did not even mention it while preparing the order. The Northbrook outlet is definitely not the same. We visited this week to pick up food for the 2nd time. My chicken market plate would have been ok except the chicken tasted like it had been baking all day, almost to the point of being crunchy and inedible. I'm not even sure how they were able to cut it. A wrap we ordered was tasteless, definitely missing sauce. I want to love this place since the menu has a lot of variety that appeals to my family, however they should step up their attention to food quality and making the dishes following the recipes. read more
