Nice spot for a casual breakfast or lunch. We were seated quickly without a reservation. Great service, large menu with something for everyone. Everything was nicely priced, especially for the portion sizes. This would be a good spot for groups, and we saw plenty of families with kids if you're looking for family friendly dining.. Soda and coffee refills offered often. The portions were large and everyone enjoyed their lunches! We had: Jalapeno Burger - cooked nicely, very large burger with plenty of fries, good flavor. Soup of the day was also nice. Reuben - delicious, nicely cooked, so many fries Wrap and Eggs Benedict - nice portion sizes, our dining companions enjoyed! They liked the Chicken Noodle Soup too.

Yummy, been a while. Good menu great portions. I had the chicken fried steak with biscuits fruit three eggs oh my goodness so much food my friend had sausage eggs, hashbrowns, and English muffin. Sausage links are so good. I think they might even be homemade English muffin was a little under toasted . One of the options that they have for aside our potato pancakes. This place is really good. Really good hot Coco. The coffee needs help.

Veggie skillet with added bacon; my go to. GF pancake on the side.

Came here today and were asked if we wanted to eat at the counter (no wait) or wait 10-15 mins to eat at a table/booth. We chose to wait, only to be placed at the ONE and ONLY tiny table in the corner of the counter section. If we wanted to sit in the "bar" area we would have chose to 15 mins prior. What an awkward place to have one single table. We asked the man how much longer to sit at a booth or table in the main area (inside or outside) and he said another 10-15 mins. We left.

Garden Berry Cafe had been on my radar for literal years! Driving past it every weekend seeing the entire lot filled up every time! I had to finally stop in for myself and boy was I impressed!! If you order anything - make sure it's the Banana Bread French Toast! This dish was honestly mind-blowing. I love banana bread and this was my first time ever trying it French toast style! It was incredible. Actually incredible. Do not miss the opportunity to try this dish. We shared the French toast and both got the same savory option. Everything was a winner. From the friendly service to the lively vibe, Garden Berry is quite the gem! I can't wait to visit again!

I'm currently living in Iowa but here visiting friends. I'm happy to report that the food and service are still outstanding! Two of us had a full breakfast with enough leftovers for another meal for under $24. The staff here must be treated well because they're always cheerful and attentive in a very sincere way. I'm sure it helps that the food is top notch and the portions are very Midwest American (generous).

Went back here a few more times and there not a wait, I was immediately seated and service was great and fast! Ordered the Tijuana skillet and it has to be my favorite dish! I also had their decaf coffee with almond milk. Would've been nice to have oat but at least they have a dairy free option!

From the outside of the building you can't really tell what is inside. The windows are all darkened and the entrance is set off from the dining side. But once inside, I weaved through the maze of tables to get to a booth on the other side. This was the quintessential family diner. Not fancy by any means, just an atmosphere where having a conversation with another table (which I did) is not unusual or extraordinary. The food was hot. The ham and cheese omelette was nothing special, it was a rolled omelette which I appreciate. The hash browns were fresh. When I say fresh, I suspect they actually shredded the potatoes that morning. They didn't have that frozen from a bag flavor. The one thing I wish they did, was shrink the menu. Choice fatigue made me choose my own standby this time. This menu is huge, I'd say it gives Cheesecake Factory a run for the money with menu size. Overall though, this is a place that you could easily make "your place" for local food spots.

I have been to Mauri's a few times before and had reviewed the restaurant in the past, but once…read moreagain, for whatever reason, my previous written review is missing. I'm not sure why this keeps happening. Mauri's is a family-owned, family-friendly restaurant that serves tasty breakfast/ lunch fare. They have omelets, skillets, pancakes, waffles, Mexican breakfast dishes, sandwiches, and more. Mauri's is a community staple and popular among the locals. They have a nice variety on their menu, and the pricing is reasonable. The restaurant is inviting and has a good ambiance. In the past, I had tried a couple of different varieties of their omelets, which were good, especially the Acapulco omelet and Azucena omelet. On my recent visit, I ordered their Country Chicken Skillet that had chicken, chorizo, onions, mushrooms, and green peppers mixed in with hash browns and topped with cheddar cheese and two eggs cooked your way. I also asked for tomatoes in my skillet, which was a $1 upcharge. My wife ordered the Western skillet that had ham, onions, tomatoes, and peppers mixed in with hash browns and topped with cheese and two eggs. We had a choice of toast or pancakes, and we both got pancakes. Mauri's offers a choice of regular pancakes or pumpkin pancakes (no upcharge), and we chose pumpkin pancakes. For my little guy, we ordered a kids' meal that had one egg scrambled, hash brown, sausage, and wheat toast with a side of butter and jam. We also ordered a Belgian waffle with cinnamon apples and pecans. Additionally, I had a hazelnut iced coffee, and my wife had an iced caramel cappuccino. Overall, the food and beverages were good in taste. We like our dishes. Initially, in my skillet dish, the hash browns were burnt, and the pumpkin pancakes were a bit overcooked. Thus, I requested my dish to be redone. One of the staff members promptly provided the desired response and service, and my new order was ready shortly. After re-cooking, my dish tasted delicious. It was exactly as I wanted it to be. I didn't ask for a redo in the pancakes. They were okay. I also like the Belgian Waffle a lot. The pecans were stuffed in the waffle, which was great, and there were plenty of semi-big pieces of cinnamon apples on the top. My hazelnut iced coffee was refreshingly delicious. I liked the use of flavored ice in my drink. We received good, friendly service (same as in the past). We like coming here occasionally and supporting the local business. Mauri's is a good place to get delicious breakfast/ lunch meal. It's definitely worth checking out if you haven't been here before.

There's no word to describe the incredible service and experience we had here today :)…read more We were scheduled for the Bears Camp but it was canceled due to the weather. We wanted to grab breakfast since we drove an hour up to hit the camp and found this amazing gem! We weren't the only ones, many other folks who experienced the cancellation of the Bears Camp had the same idea! lol it was PACKED! I can't recall our hostess' name but she was a beautiful soul and so kind to us as we waited patiently for a seat. It was a 90 minute wait so we walked around a bit and killed time. When we got back, we still had a wait but a group of ladies said they just left the bar and we could walk up. We did and saw the hostess to ask if we could eat there and she said yes. Definitely worth the wait! We sat at the bar and Dani, our server was FANTASTIC! So kind, helpful and gave great advice on what to order since it was our first time. We ordered the biscuits OMG the best thing ever! We added the homemade jam and it was the chefs kiss! We had the hazelnut latte and French Madeline latte. Both were delicious! I got an omelette with sun-dried tomatoes, goat cheese and chicken sausage. It came with a choice of a bread item and I chose pancakes hubby got eggs sausage with French toast. The portions were HUGE! We were full off the biscuits lol but ate some of our meal and then packed it up to go and had it for dinner lol It's a cute farm inspired restaurant and very family friendly. We absolutely loved the staff. Dani, our waitress was a real Doll! Genuinely kind and so personal and attentive. Steve and Chris, the management team was absolutely above board and we so enjoyed chatting with them. They made us feel so welcomed! Thank you! We can't wait to return!

It did not. The restaurant has a lovely aesthetic with the clean black on white patterns throughout. The open floor carries the noise so don't expect much with that. Even though I was the first person seated for the day, service was not great. When I ordered my breakfast (ham and cheese omelette with honey biscuit and a buttermilk biscuit on the side, the honey biscuit came, but after waiting for about 10 minutes, I had to flag down the manager to get my buttermilk biscuit. No refill on my drink either. The omelette was fine. It was a folder omelette and the flavor was pretty good. The biscuits are such: the honey biscuit is a drop biscuit with a slight taste of a honey glaze on top. It was fairly dense as most drop biscuits are. The buttermilk biscuit was just a folded biscuit, but it looks like it was folded at most twice. Here is the thing with folded biscuits, if you over mix the dough, it doesn't expand. If you don't use frozen butter, it won't lighten and create the necessary steam. Then you have a dense brick of biscuits dough. If you don't make your own buttermilk, you'll end up without the slight tang buttermilk is known for. I don't think Buttermilk lives up to the name. For me, it was a disappointment. I had high hopes.
