I've been to this place a few times and I love their banana pudding! Honestly, better than Magnolia Bakery's banana pudding lol. Their gelato is also pretty good but not my favorite. Wow I was actually dying to come try this place and let me tell you best decision I made! Walked in very cute and colorful ; flavors are different and if you want you can ask for a sample of the ice cream you want to try I had the passion fruit sorbet it was very refreshing and my partner had pecan ice cream with Cinnamon Toast Crunch sweet and perfect flavor. I also had a matcha latte with oat milk and he had an iced coffee with almond milk both the best taste ever I loved them both lol! The service was nice and smooth ; I didn't get her name but the nice young lady was very sweet and helpful. The environment is very calm and great music I would like to add that it's very reserved as well nobody bothers anyone. Welcome to the neighborhood!! I stumbled upon this place looking for a coffee shop. It offered everything I needed. Great atmosphere , indoor and outdoor seating, bright lights and WIFi! I ordered iced tea and a chocolate croissant. My tea was great and they have simple sugar, packets of sugar and sugar alternatives you use to sweeten. Stumbled upon this business after picking my daughter up from school. So I decided to stop in, and check it out. What drew me in was definitely the aesthetic. The colors are so bright, beautiful and inviting. The art work inside is lovely as well. When I came in, I was greeted immediately with a smile. The person behind the counter let me know that I could try as many flavors as I would like, and encouraged me to take my time as I am sure she could see I was having a hard time coming to a decision. One I decided on my flavor (I don't remember the name), and my daughter decided on hers we headed to the register. I noticed at the counter that they also had banana bread for sale. I am sucker for a good banana bread so I had to try it out - and to my pleasant surprise it was chocolate chip banana bread which I love. My daughter and I sat down to eat our ice cream before heading out. It was a bit chilly outside, so we didn't want to take it to go. There were other families doing the same, and it looks like its a cool after school spot for older kids who want a sweet treat. Overall, I have very few complaints and would recommend this establishment. Later, when I got home, I tried the chocolate chip banana bread and I was not a fan. In my opinion it was more cake like in nature, and did not have the moist texture I expect in banana bread. I did not taste bananas at all, and tasted more of an expresso/cinnamon flavor. I would definitely return for the gelato, especially as the weather gets warmer! read more

Cute dessert shop with some indoor seating in Hamilton Heights. They've got gelato, banana pudding, cakes, cookies, you name it. I had their store special flavor of gelato, which is a rose base with caramelized pistachio and rose petals. It tasted good, but perhaps a bit too sweet, and it was more on the icy side for a gelato. I also had part of a warm sugar cookie, which is perfect for those who like a chewier/softer texture. This shop is overall a rare gem in this area. read more

I came here yesterday and I must say it was a wonderful experience. We got the chocolate cookie and it was ok. I would say the real winner is he gelato. I tried the bubble gum flavored gelato and it brought me back to my childhood. The place is so beautiful inside; has a lot of sunlight and beautiful poems and I would say it is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. I had the cookies and cream and the vegan strawberry. Staff was allergy conscious which I hugely appreciated! And where to even begin with the service. The (owner I think?)'s bright smile made my day the minute I walked in the door, and they were excited to hear that I was new to the neighborhood and let me try lots of flavors! I have ordered from here quite a few times since my last review and unfortunately have to take away stars due to inconsistency. Sometimes you get the food and it tastes phenomenal and other times it's very underwhelming. I had the banana pudding cup a few times and it's very hit or miss every time I have gotten it, same with the white chocolate chip cookie. The most frustrating thing is the business does not communicate with you when you order from door dash so one time when they didn't have the item I ordered, they substituted it for a different one without talking to me and charged me for the substitute. Another time they didn't have 2 items that I ordered and did not let me know so I ended up having to pay for the delivery, tax and service fee for 1 item that they actually had in stock. Would have preferred to cancel my order at that point. Maybe a better experience when you go in person but would not recommend ordering as take out. Very disappointing! read more

I went yesterday. Randomly found myself craving ice cream at 9:50PM and a quick Google search revealed this place was close AND open. The place was a little tough to find, but we stuck it out and are glad we did! We got there about 2 minutes before closing and everyone that was there working was extremely kind and patient even though they were nearing closing time. The BEST part, though, was the gelato. I went with one scoop because I could not bring myself to pay $8 for gelato, but next time I WILL. It's worth every penny. I hope this place gets the marketing it deserves. I took my 4th grade class here in June '22. The treats were delicious! I wished I could have tried them all. The staff was incredibly patient as all 25 of us asked questions, sampled flavors, and paid with cash and change. I emailed ahead of time to ensure there were some nut free options and they made sure to have several available for those with allergies. The place is beautiful and a great addition to the neighborhood. One 4th grader said they had the prettiest bathroom she's ever seen. Avrilily's is sooo cute, everything is very aesthetically pleasing and looks amazing. The staff was very nice and you can tell they try to keep everything neat. However, there's a few things that hold us back from visiting again. The primary one being the price of everything. The gelato is delicious, you can definitely taste the quality ingredients, however I find it to be too overpriced for the serving, the kids size which is the one in the picture is $5. I understand quality ingredients cost much more, especially in this economy and I love to supporting small business but the tres leches cake did it for me. You can see in the pictures that it was extremely dry in the middle, that defeats the purpose of what a tree leches cake is supposed to be, which is incredibly moist. Flavor wise it was okay, nothing special or overly sweet which some people can appreciate it being the type of cake it is, but is it really a tres leches cake if it's hard and dry? Id it's worth a try if you have the budget for it but temper your expectations. read more

Lovely cozy bakery, with indoor seating and great cafe vibes. Has small rotating selection of ice creams, that vary from dairy based to fruit based ice creams. Definitely on the sweeter side for desserts. They also do cupcakes which are really good, baked by Avril herself! They have a rotating selection of cookies too but I never seem to make it to the shop when they have all their cookies (maybe a sign that they're super popular!) read more
