Many thanks to Frenchy and his team for creating my bday/Glow Up party cake on time, affordably, and working diligently to realize my vision. The collaborative design process was enjoyable, with Frenchy bringing some great ideas to the table. It was definitely invaluable to have a safe space to discuss the importance / history behind the commission without any judgment, and with fullest support and celebration. The final product needed a few adjustments to accommodate fulfilling my vision within the limited dimensions (I asked for a sizeable amount of design work on a smaller cake), but in the end everyone was very impressed at first sight and tore up their slice. The yellow sponge was hands down the group favorite component of the cake; it was very moist, and stayed so for a few days after the party. Those who got down with the frosting and sugar work liked both. Nearly everyone wanted more of the peanut butter buttercream filling instead of the layers being separate with half pb filling / half chocolate fondant (this was one adjustment I wasn't crazy about). But everyone left happy and most even texted the next day to say again how much they enjoyed the cake. I'd personally highly recommend coordinating delivery since - for me - the pick up location and process negatively impacted the overall experience. But the core take away I hope to convey is that Frenchy and his team are managing to executive on a very high and competitive level within their industry at a price which you'd be extremely hard pressed to beat. read more

He makes beautiful cakes that are delicious as well. His prices are very reasonable and he gives you a quote before you decide to order. He's super sweet and both him and his wife are adorable. His cakes are American style so he charges by the size of the cake rather than by the pound. I usually order the 8 inch round and there's always more than enough to go around. This is a double barrel drip cake. The flavor was vanilla and I believe there was chocolate cake swirls inside. This cake was really really good. This is my second time ordering here and it was pretty amazing. The cake also had white chocolate macaroons and Wafers dipped in white chocolate. I love that Frenchy was very creative to come up with this idea. Some of drips were a little long and not as consistent but you know what I really did love the taste of the cake and that was the key here. My tips would be keep the cake refrigerated! THE CAKE WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! [because that's all you need to know for the review anyway ;) ]. I'm really glad that I decided to go with Frenchy for my friend's birthday cake. From the second I reached out he was extremely helpful and listened to all of my concerns in terms of design and what I wanted the cake to taste like. The cake itself was a chocolate cake with a chocolate Swiss meringue buttercream. The outside, was Frenchy's homemade fondant. Originally, this had been one of my greatest concerns-- as the taste of fondant can have a slight chemical taste to it. The handmade fondant was a little sweet, but still delicious and it surpassed my expectations. The cake also had decorations made out of rice krispies treats (also homemade) and just as delicious without being too overwhelming on the palate. (I still have some of the cake, and it's still delicious days later). I was extremely happy with the design of the cake, and the attention to detail as well. I'm really glad I was able to find Frenchy through yelp, and I will be trying out some of the dessert cakes in the future.
