The staff are very thorough with their intake forms and make sure any aches/pains are addressed. Not to mention you can't beat the price. OMG. I booked a pedicure with my best friend before finding out about their awesome couples' massage. I ended up calling the spa again to schedule a time for my husband and I to relax and unwind before our wedding day and it was the *best* decision I have ever made. These are no ordinary spa services. Kimberly makes the entire experience unique and special for you. She truly has a gift when it comes to massage, not to mention she is caring and attentive. My feet will forever be grateful to her -- by the time she was done, they were super soft and smooth. As for the couples' massage, we have had massages before, but this experience was just so surreal. Believe me when I say that I have been to the Salish Lodge and Spa and this tiny place in Myrtle Beach, SC even beat that incredible experience! Her staff are extremely talented and so personable, they really do meet your individual needs. I have never been able to just zone out during a massage until now (and I try meditating somewhat regularly). We made an appointment on a Friday for a Monday massage at our condo. We received a call on Monday morning stating that we were too far to drive for the massages. Our condo was an 18 minute drive from the studio. Hard to understand. Wish we could've experienced the services but terrible communication and unacceptable mode of business. read more

Kimberly and Shannon were fantastic! I booked a couples massage package and the experience was the best one I've had. This cozy location gives you VIP service. The office is booked for you only! So there aren't other people coming in and out off the office. It's just you, the therapist and the soothing sounds of nature. The couples package we booked included a cheese and cracker plate, a 70min massage, foot scrubs, facials and a hot stone treatment. Kimberly has set out a beautiful spread of various cheeses, crackers, and fresh fruit. There was also at least a dozen teas to choose from as well as hot chocolate. :) The session itself was great, Kimberly easily located all of my trouble spots and gave them the much needed attention they needed. The facial was refreshing, she used a homemade facial cleanser to lift all of the dirt and impurities away then used a delicious chocolate mint mask to soften and replenish my face. The stones and hot towels really helped release the tension in my muscles, allowing her to work on some of the deeper trouble spots. Finally, my feet are fully satisfied with their scrub and hot towel wrap! We also received a rose and an adorable mini gift bag. These ladies were well worth the money! We have plans to come back next time we're in town. read more

The wife and I decided to go to Myrtle Beach and celebrate our wedding anniversary. We own a time-share condo there and go every year but it's usually at a different time of year and we ALWAYS get a couples massage when we go. It's just a great way to "stop the world and get away for a little while and forget the world exists". Awaken Your Senses was the exception to every other massage place we've ever visited. Kimberly and Cara were SO gracious and inviting when we got there. They offered us a tray of fresh fruit, nuts, cheese & crackers and assorted chocolate-dipped treats - all with a cold glass of water. You have to fill out an application that tells them a little about you and what you expect from your massage experience (something rarely done at other establishments). Then they sit down and personally discuss any areas you want them to pay particular attention to. The aroma therapy, facial scrubs and peppermint foot baths were all a part of the package. And it was VERY affordable considering when we came out of there, we couldn't remember our names...LOL! Best Spa Every Attended!! Brought my wife to Myrtle Beach for our honeymoon. From the first time I called until we arrived the staff at Awaken Your Senses was very polite helpful and just over all amazing. So I had planned weekend getaway for my wife and daughter to Myrtle Beach. One of the scheduled plans was to surprise my wife and daughter with spa treatment. My daughter is 4 years old and got her hands and toenails done, she was so excited. My wife got a 30 minute massage and a pedicure and couldn't stop talking about how much more relaxed she felt. My boyfriend and I came to SC for our anniversary. We really wanted and needed a message. So why not a couples spa date. We've never gotten one before so we'd thought we'd try it out. We found this place on Yelp and they had great reviews. We were able to get an appointment the day before. The lady was very nice on the phone. The place is very small, but very cozy. There were two ladies that worked there. They were both licensed and they knew what they were talking about. They had us fill out our information and any surgeries or injuries we've had that they need to be aware of. And of any specific areas they would like us to focus on. The couples spa package was very reasonably priced. For the two of us together was $140 (without tip) for 70 minutes. It all included- facial scrub, full body message, and feet massage. They also use hot stones- and they feel so good! There is a candle ceremony in the beginning where they tell you to close your eyes and let go of everything that is bothering you and you blow out the candle and they get started. These ladies were very sweet and gave amazing massages. read more

My husband surprised me with the couples massage which came with the facial and foot scrub. It was heavenly! From the moment you walk in to "Awaken your senses" you automatically feel calmer. As we sat down and started to fill out our paperwork we were treated to fresh fruit and crackers and were told to take our time as no one else is in the building while your treatments are being completed! The massage, facial and foot scrub were amazing and just when you think it can't get any better they throw in hot rocks AND hot towels! My husband had Kimberly and I had Ginie. They were both terrific! When our treatments were done we were able to just lay there and enjoy the relaxation until we were ready to get up and get dressed. Once we were in the main seating area we were never made to feel rushed, tea was offered to us and we were able to finish our fruit and crackers. Kimberly even had us sit back, relax and close our eyes while she read a very uplifting thought provoking card to us. If you get the chance to go the card is called "I earn my living doing what I love" and Kimberly keeps it on her desk. My husband and I have talked about how customer service is one thing which seems to be lacking in this area. Kimberly definitely didn't get that memo because she fully understands what it means to make the client feel special. We will definitely be going back and telling anyone who is looking for spa services to go there. I'm so glad my husband found it!
