I was never given paperwork to fill out, so they had no information about medical conditions, injuries, pressure preferences, or areas I may not have wanted worked on. They also never verbally asked me about any of those things themselves, which immediately felt unprofessional to me. The massage table had a white sheet with a folded blue sheet on top that I had to unfold myself to cover up. When the therapist first left the room, she didn't fully close the door and left it cracked open. I closed it myself, and then about two minutes later she walked back in without knocking while I was naked getting onto the table. There was also a significant language barrier, which normally would not bother me at all, but it became uncomfortable when communication issues affected privacy and the massage itself. At one point she brought another woman into the room to use Google Translate, and the door was left completely open while I was laying there with my leg and glute exposed. I was also repeatedly pressured to purchase a $10 Chinese medicine oil add-on. I politely declined multiple times and explained I just wanted her to continue focusing on my problem areas, but I had to say no several times before they finally stopped asking. The walls are extremely thin, and I could hear conversations from the front desk throughout the massage. My massage therapist was even talking through the wall to a coworker or manager during the session, which made it difficult to fully relax. The massage itself was actually nice, and they were able to get me in quickly when I called to book. However, I asked for specific work on certain problem areas and that request was mostly ignored, likely due to the communication barrier. Overall, the experience lacked professionalism, privacy, and the relaxing atmosphere most people expect when booking a massage.

My husband and I went on to Myrtle Beach for our honeymoon, and we really wanted to try a couples massage. Awaken Your Senses did not disappoint!! We both walked away thinking it was one of the best experiences of our honeymoon! We were offered (prepackaged) snacks and water or coffee when we got there. We filled out forms together about our massage pasts then met with our massage therapists to get to know each other more. It was very relaxed. They explained different kinds of massages and helped us figure out what was best for us. They were very straight forward with pricing and did not push the more expensive options, just helped us find what we wanted. I was very pleased with their service before we even started. And then we started. When I say that I have never felt so relaxed in my life, I mean NEVER. It was the most peaceful, calming hour of my life. Our massage therapists helped us feel comfortable and were very professional. My husband and I were incredibly pleased with service!! This was my first massage ever and my wife and I went for couples massages. I was in Myrtle Beach for a week-long vacation and we decided to try this out while we were there. Right from the start it was a super pleasant experience. Kimberly and Darley were super hospitable and had snacks out for us to enjoy as soon as we walked in. They went over the process and made us very comfortable as we entered the massage parlor. Since this was my first massage I was worried it wasn't going to be comfortable. I'm a cop and very skeptical of the human race. Meeting somebody like Kimberly today reminded me that there are wonderful humans among us. My wife wanted a pedicure and left with a new meaning to the word "pampered". I was amazed at the welcoming with fruit, crackers and cheese but even more impressed with the quality of work done. Kimberly's place is easy to find and will relax even the most stressed souls. If you want treated like royalty for a fair price, this is the BEST on the beach. I nearly fell asleep in the lounge listening to the wave machine and have listened to my wife praise Kimberly all evening long. The professionalism we received from the moment we walked through the door and the positive vibe was phenomenal. Our massage time was pushed back for a hour due to them running behind but we were okay with it being that we were just coming into town. They called to let us know of this delay which was good. The massage was strictly for us. No-one was able to come into the venue because once you're in they lock the door behind you. This is a definite must have when you're coming to the beach to relax. This spa catered to my needs as I have many foot problems. I was at Surfside Beach on vacation and my wife found this place through Google. She set up an appointment online for the 30 minute foot massage/Relaxology treatment. It was well worth the money. From the mineral soak to the brown sugar scrub and actual massage, it was all utterly relaxing. My feet have not felt better since being diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, bone spurs, and general nerve pain a couple of years ago! From the knees down, I felt like a new man. My friend and I decided to go for a back massage and foot reflexology combined with a massage for 60 minutes and found Awaken Your Senses through a google search. We were both so pleased! This is by far the best massage and foot reflexology I have ever had. Multiple modalities were used during the massage. I was the most relaxed and felt all my tension release. During the entire session, the massage therapist repeatedly pulled and twisted my wife's shoulder in a way that caused significant pain and discomfort. We have both had many professional massages over the years and have never experienced anything like this. What's most concerning is that more than a month later, her shoulder is still causing her significant pain. The issue has become serious enough that she is now undergoing an MRI because she believes something may have been injured during the session. While we cannot say with certainty what the MRI will show, the timing and circumstances are extremely concerning. Based on our experience, I would urge others to exercise caution and make sure they communicate clearly with the therapist if anything feels uncomfortable or painful during treatment.

I got a basic one hour facial for $79 which included facial steam, serum's a face mask and dermaplaning. My skin feels INSANELY soft. Fine lines and wrinkles are nearly gone and none of you would know it because I don't have a before picture, but she literally took 10 years off of my 48 year old face!
