I never leave reviews but I am at a loss. Our fence broke within a year of Andy's team installing it. I emailed him in June to let him know, he said no problem, he'd come out that week to take a look. It is now November & he has not been out to see it, and what's worse, has never responded to my calls or emails since the first time. Extremely poor customer service and clearly can't back up their own product & service. Would not recommend using Awards Fence. read more

A couple years ago we had Awards install a picket fence. They were able to use original plans from the house to plot out the fence instead of having to pay a surveyor. They showed us many different options of styles to choose from. Scheduling was easy and the installer was punctual. We even got a winter discount since the fence was installed before March 31st. We had contacted this company for an estimate after our neighbors used them for a nice fence. The owner came out a couple times to get our design ideas down for an estimate. We contacted back and forth over the winter a bit because we have an HOA that requires very specific documents. When we contacted the company in early spring to get final drawings from them to submit...crickets. Understanding that the pandemic and quarantines may be affecting their turnaround time, we reached out over the next...4...MONTHS... at least 3 more times with little to no response. My wife and I are very satisfied with our experience with Award's Fence and Deck. We are 73 and 74 years old, respectively, and have had much experience dealing with a variety of contractors in our lifetime. We are well aware that changing weather conditions, supply chain issues, HOA regulation issues, and family health issues, etc. can arise to cause unanticipated frustrations in scheduling, communication, and favored deadlines. For us, the bottom line is always about whether the job gets done right, is reasonably priced, and the people you are working with are flexible and respectful. We were very pleased with the help that Andy, the owner, gave us in navigating the HOA informational requirements, details of pricing, and the safety concerns associated with digging around utilities. When the sudden passing of my sister resulted in significant interruptions of our our family's emotional life and schedule, Andy was very gracious and supportive and was never pushy in any way. When we informed him that we were very hopeful to get our backyard fence build by Xmas, because our family members coming to visit were bringing their pets -- based on a previous understanding that we would have a fenced in yard -- he promised to do his best to meet our time frame, and he did just that. It is now three days before Christmas, and we have a beautiful, backyard, ornamental fence that will enable us to have a great, total family (sons, kids and canines) gathering this holiday season. For that we are very grateful. It is important to note that we choose Award's Fence in the first place because of the stellar recommendations of two other owners in our development. Back in 2008, Andy's company erected their ornamental fences, and, 13 years later, they have proven to be problem free and look as beautiful as when first erected. The crew that installed was very polite and made sure to clean up after themselves. They even cut down a bush for me where I wanted a post. Had them install wood fence. Noticed this past winter a few posts coming up. Contacted Andy April 6, 2019. He said they would get out and repair the posts. Never came out, called him again May 6 and let him know we now have 9 posts coming up. Again he said they would be out and do the repair. Never heard from him. Called him again June 6, he said i was on the schedule, the repairs would be done my June 20. Had to have utilities marked, Andy said that was scheduled and after that they would be out. June 21, 2019 still waiting, no contact from Andy and he is not answering my calls. Do not use them, totally unreliable. Too bad there is not a negative rating. We have used Awards in the past and while they weren't quick to return our calls eventually they would get back with us. We paid the bill quickly, not making them wait for the money. You would think a company would be happy with type of consumer. Apparently not, this company will not respond to our emails or our calls concerning another fence job. My fence got pushed back over a month and no one ever told me. I was always having to beg for a response to know when they would be coming and it always took forever to get a response. When it was time to pay they managed to call me twice in one day. I will never recommend them. read more

run from this company - I've been waiting over 3 months for a replacement gate for a fence they installed. they (Andy) promises call backs with status and never call back ... lucky I didn't give them any deposit but now I have to find the gate elsewhere. Andy was our salesman and went above and beyond to get us our fence at a good price and on time. The two installers worked from 9 to 8 installing the fence and did a great job in one day. It is perfect. They were constantly measuring and leveling until it was just right. We are very happy and glad we went with a local company. I requested a quote and Andy (the salesman) came out within a couple of days of the request to get the additional information needed for preparing a quote. A week later and I have yet to hear back from him. If you can't prepare a quote in a reasonable timeframe then I doubt a fence will be erected in a timely manner. I will not spend my time chasing Andy and this company for a quote when several of his competitors are more than happy to spend time talking with me and preparing a quote while onsite. read more
