My story starts at Safelite, in Troy MI…read more I was there this morning for a 9:00AM appointment. One person waiting for her car (Ms. X). I was originally going to pick it up when finished, but decided to wait. At 9:30, another customer walks in and says she is early for her appointment. I watch as her call gets pulled into the service bay as mine is still in the spot I left it. Just before 10:00 someone comes to give Ms. X her keys and she leaves. At 10:00 another customer walks in and says they are right on time. I watch as their car goes into the service bay while my car is in the same spot. I see a couple of service people come to the desk and return to the service area. I go outside to take a call outside and see that there is an empty service bay and I decide it is time to get my keys and go. I went to the desk after some shuffling of papers looking for my keys on the desk the guy goes to the service area comes back and hands them to me. No apology, excuse or explanation. I say "thanks" and leave. I got home and started searching for a place for service. I called E & C Auto Glass and was quoted a price a lot lower than Safelite, and he could come out to my house in the afternoon. Marc came to my house and did the repair in an hour. He also charged a lot less. Repair looks like it was factory new. I will recommend E & C to anyone that needs to have a Autoglass repaired. Maybe it would have been different if Satellite came to my house to do the repair, but in the end, I am glad I did not pay ahead of time and I same a lot of money and supported a small business. Not to mention I have a Safelite story to share in a commercial if they want.

I have…read morea brand new 2022 Jeep wrangler and I wanted a simple speaker install with no wires showing because I will be off roading. Had to buy multiple products on my own because they didn't have anything in stock. Had to bring my own supplies. I wanted an amp, sub and new speakers all around with 2 tower speakers on the sides that i had already mounted for the and did the wiring where I wanted it to go to the amp. After taking the jeep there to get it done the sound system sounded like shit and said i needed another mono amp and blah blah blah after confirming they could do it with the 8 channel amp I had - After the install i see that they had pulled the wires out where I had them and wired them so I could see them (which i specifically said i didnt want). Said they couldn't do it the way I wanted. Also - had to take my jeep back there multiple different times and try to race around to find parts. Not cool. bad customer service and Horrible installation. Right now Im taking apart my jeep to rewire it the way i wanted (they offered to do it after I kept complaining but I already had enough of their crap) the install is completely terrible and messy. wires everywhere - wire clippings everywhere. Also the rewiring is possible down the side of the plastic. you just didnt want to spend time on it. Very disappointed in everything I will post every picture - also they screwed me over on the price and said "i was getting a deal" bull shit Also they "couldnt" use the rgb controller I had purchased (and THEY ASKED ME TO buy it (they also offered to sell me one for 80$ and they are 6$ on amazon). Unless you don't mind ZERO customer service and questionable answers from both Employee…read moreand Manager I took my car in to get repaired since multiple reviews and family members said it was great. The first interaction was fine I called and spoke to a nice woman she was helpful and gave me information I needed to get started since I had Progressive Insurance. WORD TO THE WISE *** Any collision shop will have longer times with Progressive then other companies this isn't the Collision shops fault *** Once I completed what was needed with Progressive I went in to have them look over the car and give me an estimate on completion. The employee stated 2 weeks without any hiccups I stated that was WAY quicker then Gerber Collision and Glass was (4-6 weeks+) I signed paperwork and then returned a week later to drop my car off I had 1 item I was paying for 1 item my insurance company was paying for.... Here comes the issues - During the WHOLE entire process, I only received text updates on my portion never a single time did the company call me and update me on the other portion. During the process I had to call them for updates and times when it would be complete... Never did they call and update me. - The process went from 2 weeks to 6.5 weeks of waiting. Their response was "Progressive needed to come back on site, and look it over again" I was told they have someone onsite which would imply they were working there. - I noticed my gas was running lower over the long period that I was there, I looked at the maps and it seemed that someone took my car for 11 miles to a residential neighborhood for about 30 mins. - Once I was finally told the car was ready we looked it over... There was a bunch of residue/spots on the trunk and the side panel/molding by my tire was scratched up which was not part of the original issue. When I approached the employee about these issues he took the car back and stated the following "The residue was from Maple Syrup or Pine Tree, we tried to get the scratches out but the tech ended up spraying your paint with the chemical and it burned through the paint so that needs to be fixed now" After all this I had to wait another week for the car to be fixed again - I once again had to call and request when it was ready to be picked up.. This time speaking to the manager/boss, I stated should I be good to go or will I fine more issues? "No issues you will be good" The morning I was to go I called and said I'd be picking up in several hours the manager/boss said ok I'll get it cleaned up. - Arriving to pick up 2 new issues were found since the last time I arrived (Some kind of mark on my trunk and the tail light had scuffs) Once again I had to approach the manager/boss he stated "Take it with you, we will come and get it and fix it and bring it back to you" Fast forward another week they take it back fix the issues and brought it back looking as it should no other problems were found... I spoke to the manager about my problem and this is what he said.. about the multiple issues above and the whole overall issue - "When it comes to the Progressive onsite employee he travels from one location to another and when we needed him he was also on vacation so it took longer so your time frame went from 2 weeks till were we are at right now which is a little over 1 month" - "We normally always contact our customers with updates, what I assume is your option wasn't marked with updates from Progressive only your out of pocket payment was marked in our system to contact you with updates, we normally always contact not sure what happened" - "The car was taken to our calibration shop which was out on 20 mile and something, the guys house is off of 11 and Gratiot they needed to ride the car so it can reset the sensors you have a lot" - "The residue on the trunk I'm unsure what that was, the scratches I'm not pointing fingers on who did this and I'm not calling my techs out." (This issue I went back and forth with him because he was blaming me for this that the issue came in like this, I told him you can check your photos and mine the scratches were not there at time of drop off.. after this he kept quiet) When asked with all my troubles and issues and lies I was give what can you guys do.... He came back with $50 off my bill for my troubles.... I said from the great reviews and the word of mouth on the place you cannot do anything better "Haha what you want me to do here I'm giving you money off". The next day I called to schedule the pickup he stated he knocked another $60 off (I assume he looked at the damage on my car and saw I wasn't the one) I will NEVER recommend or even offer anything to anyone that is in need of repair to go to this place. If you're not in a rush have zero interest in customer service, want to be blamed for you doing the damage after you pick it up in the parking lot the by all means go here... I should have stuck with Gerber Glass and Collusion!!

Instead, the job was subpar, with visible debris, including hair, trapped under the film. I contacted the owner, Jason, who assured me they would make it right if I brought it back. When I returned, I carefully marked the affected areas to help them address the issues. Instead of fixing the problems or even discussing possible solutions, they removed the tint entirely--without consulting me--and told me to take my business elsewhere, claiming it "wasn't worth re-tinting." I brought the windshield back in good faith, expecting professionalism and accountability. Instead, they took it upon themselves to undo the work rather than correct their mistakes. For the price they charge, I expected far better workmanship and integrity. I would not recommend this shop to anyone.
