I have shopped at awesome collectibles many times and always spend hundreds of dollars at the location on paramount almost every time I visit. The usual lady and gentleman was not in there today which was unfortunate for me because the male cashier that checked me out today was very rude and spoke to me as if I was a child. I brushed his comments off because I did not want to completely ruin my afternoon. I plan to no longer shop at this is establishment. When I paid and showed him my Zelle payment the Cashier continuously repeated "This is a business" I was confused because I paid the same way I normally do when they tell me the price for an item. I expressed that I did not understand why he was saying that and he says " you have to add tax because Zelle changed. I expressed to him that I was searching for the Robby Sonny Angel Secret and ask asked if I could feel or shake the box to pick the lightest box. He says " No you can not shake the box, because I do not know what you are going to do." As if I am a thief and I refuse to pay taxes on items purchased in store" I was actually very offended by his remarks. This experience made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcomed. With that said I will no longer be a customer at awesome collectibles. All of this was such an odd way to interact with a returning customer. read more

Ok so a labubu big into energy single costs 60$ here. Double the price of retail which is tolerable since I understand it's a collectible store. But I attempted to pay with my bank card just so I could get points to my account but the cashier seemed upset with that. Told me there would be a small fee if I paid with card rather than Zelle or Venmo. I told him it was fine I'd still use the card but the price jumped from 60$ to 76$! I get the small fee because most places charge extra per card transaction for the fee they get from visa but that is not 10 extra dollars. It's very obviously done to punish customers. The greed here is insane and the attitude of the staff regarding form of payment is unprofessional. Didn't end up buying it because I won't encourage that type of shady business. Sorry you have to report the appropriate the proper amount of taxable income to the IRS like the rest of us. read more

Pro card collector and Player and collector or rare toys here. beat up Box Luke Skywalker black series 20$ eBay, 24$ amazon. this place wants 50$ power rangers lightning collection figures all above 30$ when they retail for 24$ mind you these were undesirable figures mist don't buy so you can fins them al walmart or target for 10$ or online for 15$ at most. a-lot of things were overpriced by 15-20$ the new pokemon 151 ETB boxes 65$ and they have a-lot inn stock no one is buying cuz they sell anywhere else for 50$ less online if you look a little hard. in-fact the cards and pokemon product is overpriced by at-least 40% just go to another shop i'm sure you'll pay less. 1/10 would mot come back. had a better time getting stung by fire-ants read more

This place is packed with Funkos but I've gotta say they can be misleading when it comes to selling your funkos. I gave a call inquiring about selling some funkos and was told at least 3 different times in the same conversation to "have the Funko app available on your phone and know your asking price for your funkos" only to show up, have majority of my collection be referred to as common (which I can understand) but then was low balled for the funkos I did sell. Truthfully I have no more space for the funkos and wanted to offload them while making some money back, but just know if you sell funkos here, you will be low balled. The guy I spoke to even said himself "I would buy them but it's going to be way under your asking price." I understand they are running a business and it's obvious that they want to make a profit, but it's a bit ridiculous to low ball someone selling their funkos and you go in the store and they have overpriced funkos and overpriced Loungefly. This place can afford to pay people their asking price and truthfully I think it would help build a better clientele if they did meet the asking price. At least for some of us who are honest collectors with product in good condition and not looking to resell at a crazy price. Now on the off chance you aren't interested in selling your funkos and you're actually looking to buy funkos, I suggest you pull up Amazon while browsing inside the store. There's actually a lot of funkos you can find cheaper on Amazon than this store. I really wanted to like and support this place considering it's in Paramount, but with a lot of the product being overpriced and seeing them low ball you, I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon. We drove up from San Diego after following on IG for a few months. I love loungefly and my son loves funkos! This place was heaven. There was so much stuff we couldn't focus (in a good way) we had to make 3 laps to make sure we didn't miss anything. Everyone was very nice and helpful! Can't wait to come back. read more

This place holds so many great funko pops and loungefly bags! The guys that are always there are always so sweet and approachable; they never make you feel like you're bothering them and they answer your questions so nicely. I've bought my breakfast club, amy winehouse, and harry potter & more from them. Although the prices are a little more, it doesn't beat the exclusive ones they carry and their customer service never disappoints. Me and my boyfriend live 40 min away and we love to make the trip out there for some good finds. Thanks guys! read more

Definitely a cool store with a lot of items and choices to pick from. Don't be tricked by the great Instagram page and tick toc. This place is expensive!!!!!!! You can get the same exact items from the Disney store or Box Lunch in Lakewood mall for half the price and better service. If this place had better customer service I would give 4 stars. Great variety, the big con is if you buy cash they won't give you a receipt therefore you cannot return anything. I bought a loungefly tried returning it 3 days later, perfect condition, and they said no because I don't have a receipt but they don't give receipts on a cash buy. I would have definitely kept coming back but not with their return policy. Lost a good customer. read more

They are from a different company that manufactures them. Its a free market so there you go. As far as the keychain. What kind of entitlement do you have to be in order to demand a keychain on a backpack that was on display? Thats like going into a Marshalls and getting upset over the owners/cashiers because they didnt include the whole outfit on a window display. How moronic do you have to be? And honestly, Im glad they didnt cave in. Goes to show that not every customer is right or smart. I have to say that Ive been going since the very beginning (or close that) and Ive always found the owners to be pleasant. Theyre always straightforward about their products and there is no "bait n switch" gimmick that Jeremy ol' Karino is proclaiming. They had a lot of fun took some pictures of the event it was really cool and I really wish I could have been there. My nephew seemed to have the most fun and even picked up a collectible or 2 before he left. Always glad to see a happy kid. Area was great, parking was ok from the most part from what my uncle said. You would thinking that after spending more than $300-$400 every other week that they would at least say thank you but the girl who was there on 4/21/2021 lacked customer service skilled, rude didn't care about the customers even though it was just us three in there shopping this is the last time I will Shop there also my bf because we always get her and her service is just bad like are you hired because you're family I don't get it ?
