Initially, I removed the troublesome part, and it looked like I could replace that one part, tighten a couple of screws and be done.. so I ordered a replacement. Unfortunately, Schlage had "improved" their design.. including the use of a new wire harness.. so everything has to be replaced together. Previously, Bob had matched our keys, so I wanted to use my old key piece in the new lock. This was becoming complex so I called for help. Bob came over the next morning and quickly got everything working. He was very pleasant as always, and the service call bill was more than fare. If you need locksmith services.. please call him.

My senior dad found Bob from the Yellow Pages. And after asking my dad a few questions on the…read moreservice, I was surprised to learn, the locksmith had actually just replaced the inner part (see picture). The part, where I wasn't able to figure out how to remove, without the door knobs on either end. Believe me, I spent some time trying to figure it out. And had I done so, I would've just replaced it with a brand new lock. So that was unexpected. For I was certain a younger locksmith would've just replaced it with a brand new lock as well; and charged more that double or triple what Bob asked for. My dad was also very impressed, that Bob said he'll arrive in 20 minutes, and he'd done so. I asked dad for Bob's number and business name. And came on Yelp to give a review. And I see, I'm not alone with being impressed by him. Thank you Bob, for the great service !

Like a dummy, I tried to get a broken key out of our slider lock. Everything was going well until I unscrewed the key cylinder a bit too far, then all the fun started with the pins and springs flying out. That's when I called Aaron. He showed up within the hour (even earlier than he promised) and fixed my lock and got me a new key. Super prompt. Great service. Thanks Aaron! read more
