You aren't going to find a nicer more knowledgeable locksmith. I went to the Auburn location with a old Land Cruiser that needed a master key. I didn't think this would be a big deal but the three other locksmiths I called couldn't do it and the Toyota dealership wouldn't do it. They wanted to replace the whole system for over $1200. The guys here did it in under an hour (I was the fifth customer in line) and for just over $300 I got two master keys and a valet key (one of the keys I brought in they were able to program). He knew how to tell if a key was a master key or valet key (which I learned about on a forum but the dealership didn't know) and he told me about a sticky ignition that he can also repair instead of getting it replaced at the dealership. He taught me some tricks and told me how to help get insurance to possibly pay for part of the cost. I can't recommend this shop enough. I saw them interact with several customers while I was there and they were fast friendly and reasonably priced, plus they had a few keys another guy was looking for that no one else had. If you're looking for an auto locksmith that has great prices and great customer service then your search is over...these guys are the overall best bang for your buck out there! If that doesn't convince you then hopefully this will at least speak to the customer service aspect. I am recovering from a serious neck surgery and one of my cars was broken into, the keys to another vehicle were stolen out of the car which left me without any keys for our 2006 Ford Focus. It was hard enough dealing with all of this the first day back from the hospital so I am really relieved that I found McGinnis to make new keys for our Focus. From the minute that Pat called me back I knew that I had found my guy, very friendly on the phone and not grumpy like many others that I had reached out to. Not only that, their price was literally $100 less than I was quoted by one of the other auto locksmiths. The locksmith, Pat, actually came right to my door since I cannot leave my house yet and we discussed which car it was and I let him know that the police had removed our battery and put it in the garage since our keys had been stolen. He not only was willing to come right to my door but he also was willing to go to my garage and grab my battery to hook it back up in the car (all this done with a friendly smile and positive attitude). About two hundred dollars later we now have two new programmed keys and he even made a 'valet' key for no extra charge! Great customer service. I've used them twice now for work, always shows up when he says he will and does what he can to get the job done. The first time they were here in a jiffy and got they key out from the car our employee locked inside, way less painless to deal with once Patrick got here and helped us out. I called a few locksmiths in the area about getting a new FOB made for my car and was quoted between $100 & $150. I called here and the nicest man on the phone explained that i could buy a FOB from amazon for $5-10 and it was easy to program. He also said that if i had any trouble, he'd only charge $20 to do it for me. I got a FOB for my 06 Focus for $5.99 (free shipping and delivered ON TIME) and it took 5 seconds to program! I have never needed a locksmith before. I bought a used Ford expidition the owner did not know the the Digital code for the door unlock. It only had one key and remote. He recovered the unlock code made me a new key and programmed a new remote for a lot less than the dealer wanted to recover the unlock code. And it did not take very long at all I had a very short wait. I hope to never need a locksmith again but if so I know who to call. read more
