Unfortunately, Schlage had "improved" their design.. including the use of a new wire harness.. so everything has to be replaced together. The part, where I wasn't able to figure out how to remove, without the door knobs on either end. Believe me, I spent some time trying to figure it out. And had I done so, I would've just replaced it with a brand new lock. So that was unexpected. For I was certain a younger locksmith would've just replaced it with a brand new lock as well; and charged more that double or triple what Bob asked for.
