I read a bunch on the interwebs about how this was a bad idea, it was gonna screw up my low voltage battery system, the battery management system was gonna freak out. All sorts of horrific things were likely to happen. But Tim's had enough recent experience with EVs to know with the 12V batteries (not the Lithium Ion 16V or higher in some news EVs) - it was likely to work just fine. He whipped up a quote based on experience, and gave me the peace of mind to say, "Hey if it doesn't work - we'll customize according to some of the specs you're seeing online". Great! So I dropped it off a few months ago, the install went swimmingly and as planned, and I've had it thumping the hell outta my car ever since with not a single complain from the car's battery management system. I was very precise in explaining what I wanted, and I also made it very clear that I was deaf and really needed the audio to pack a punch. I had them install about a year ago, and my system was okay at first, but what they told me I got and what I actually got were two different things. 1200 dollars later, I got wired and a new head unit, 2 12" subs, amp, and door and deck speakers. The fail? They put in a 200 watt amp that benchmarks at a max 60 rms, they didn't give me the bass boost knob, and they gave me the lowest end subs that they have. In other words they absolutely took me to the bank. I should have only paid about 600 bucks for this junk. I just replaced the amp and will wait for these subs to blow then I will replace them too. Beware. Do your homework before you put your trust in this place

The symptoms were very unusual--the screen would go black at certain vehicle speeds and when using the turn signals, while the radio and other functions continued to work. Michael and Jared took the time to listen carefully to the history of the problem and immediately recognized that it could be related to the aftermarket backup camera interface rather than the factory CUE system itself. Within minutes they identified that the camera interface settings had been changed, likely after a battery replacement, and corrected the configuration. The problem was resolved immediately.
